This is a very neat little inn, with the original downstairs house portion dating back to the 1790s and the inn dating back to the 1890s. At the very bottom level is a lively tavern. The room was comfortable if small, which is to be expected at a place like this. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and a very friendly staff.

Smugglers Notch Inn is so cool. It’s an old building with so much charm, but built before ADA (keep this in mind if you struggle with stairs). The staff were very nice. The room was clean and full of personality. Again, it’s an old building that come with creaking floors and tights turns, but that’s what made it so fun for us. The pub downstairs was convenient and menu was great.

An old, old fashioned country inn. The floor of our room was so slanted that a glass of water almost slid off the night table. It was almost scary. We would have liked a short extension to our checkout time to deal with a telco, but did not find anyone at the reception nor did they answer the phone. So we just left.

The property is very old. Floors throughout are uneven due to warping. Bathroom was updated. Breakfast dining area run down with warping floors and the booth we sat in was slanted. The food was delicious. We expected a more updated property for the price we paid.

Old building - could use some updating but it was clean. Breakfast was delicious. Couldn’t figure out TV.

Very convenient for cyclists on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

Property was a quaint old inn in the mountains..Please do not expect modern accomodations, this is a 19th century inn. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean with all necessary items. The breakfast was outstanding with great coffee, and these were the best pancakes of my life. You are right on the Notch road to Stowe, and you are minutes away from the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail..had a wonderful biking adventure in the mountains.

It was quite pleasant and relaxed. Staff was unobtrusive but helpful when needed.

Great historic inn. We stayed in a family room with a queen and 2 full beds. All the beds were very comfortable. Rooms are basic but clean. Excellent and friendly staff. The fresh cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing. Homemade blueberry muffins, eggs and pancakes with coffee. Plenty of parking. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Thank you.

The room was much smaller than anticipated. There weren’t any amenities in the room…mini fridge, coffee maker, etc. Breakfast was average. I thought it was way overpriced for what we actually got.

This is a very old house, converted into a bed and breakfast. This was my first night ever in New England. It included a wonderful free breakfast in the morning.
Old houses have some imperfections, but the bathroom and the other necessary facilities were extremely modern and functional. I didn't hear any other guests, even though there will lots of couples with children running around. I saw them in the evening, I saw them in the morning, but once in my room, it was quiet.
Their Internet WiFi and TV worked just fine.
Very nice community.

Typical Vermont country inn. In-keeper, no drinks, snacks available on premises (get yours at an establishment as soon as you get off of 89). The facility is dated, rooms and TV are small. Bathrooms have sinks with no counter space or very minimal. For over $175/night, they could at least give us 2-ply toilet paper! Staff was fine, included breakfast was very good (you book your time the night before). Ample free parking. I think next time I would pay extra to stay in South Burlington for more amenities + just minutes from the City of Burlington nightlife. I would give it a 6.5/10

Our one nite stay was very nice. It is family run and they were very helpfuI, accommodating people. It's an older building but the rooms were very nice, clean, freshly painted, and comfortable. There is a tavern restaurant attached and the personnel were very friendly, service was good, and the food was good.
We would return for a stay.
PS. There was a jigsaw puzzle table which was a plus for us.

We had a great stay here. The only issue we had was the ac was not working, but it was cool enough at night, we just opened the window and used a fan. Excellent location and food.

An older building probably used by skiers for many years. I enjoyed the jacuzzi in my room

Very quiet, rustic and quaint inn. Enjoyed the porch for morning coffee. Only comment is no coffee maker in room. A bit inconvenient to go downstairs for a cup.

Nice place in mountains for a getaway. Careful going in summer..only central air and not set very low...room felt mid 70s...small rooms use as a base but go out. Did have front porch and indoor meeting area both were nice.

This is an old building that has the charm and character, like sloping floors and a huge front porch that comes with a building of this age. It is the CLEANEST place I've ever stayed and the owners are delightful. We stayed 3-5 July and the local parade went right by the front of the inn -- so fun! Breakfast needs to be scheduled but it was yummy and fresh and so nice. Lots of choices. It's about 5 miles from Sugglers Notch Resort, which has fireworks for the public. There are a few shops within walking, including a liquor/general store, a book store, and a gas station that has a Subway in it. We'll be back!

Super cool spot….breakfast is included and you get to choose multiple items from a huge list! Definitely worth a stay…. Smaller rooms so not for a huge family but couples getaway for sure!

Clean but well-worn. Nice big porch and lounge. 2nd floor rooms only. Access by small, steep stairs. Narrow hall ways. Narrow single bed, with soft, saggy mattress. Bare, slippery, slanted, wooden floor. Lack of easily reached outlets. Central heat-air only. Clean modern bathroom. Plenty of towels, soap, wash cloths, and hot water. Did not go to pub or eat in restaurant, but both have very good reviews.

Quaint, beautiful wide plant floors - loved it felt like I was stay at an old time inn and it was super clean and innkeeper customer service was top notch

loved the traditional country inn ambience; the 2 queen bed room was ok for 2 but would have been a squeeze for 4; disappointed in the skimpy " cooked to order " breakfast; family staff was very attentive and friendly

The owners/managers were wonderful. We were very pleased with all the amenities and services they provided.
The building is very old and it must have been amazing in its day. It could use some upkeep now. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable but the common areas needed attention.

Cute place in a building that’s a historical landmark. Very nice, attentive staff. Breakfast was fresh, made to order and delicious. The property could use a few updates, our bed was way too hard, but everything was clean. I would stay there again.

This circa 1800 inn is charming. The innkeepers and family are lovely!
The rooms are nicely appointed.
Not all bathrooms are updated but are very clean.
Felt like staying in a friend’s house rather than a hotel.
The breakfasts are homemade by the innkeepers. Delicious!
The tavern has great food and drinks. A lovely outdoor patio too.
I would most definitely stay there again!

Pretty good sleep. Super quiet despite being on top of the Tavern. Comfortable beds and linens.
Only discomfort is that it was a bit warm in the evening and they was no AC we could find. Opening the window helped.
