We arrived early and needed a parking pass so we could park and enjoy the beach while we waited until 4 to check in. Waited behind what we thought was another customer when checking in, but it turned out to be a male employee just hitting on the receptionist. Neither one of them acknowledged us and they continued interacting while we waited a few minutes. I even went to sit down because it was taking a while. The receptionist did not smile or greet us. Great start. Later around 4, we go to actually check in and there’s a line of 5 or 6 people and I proceed to ask the employee behind the smoothie counter (that’s in the lobby) if I can get a smoothie and she says she is just about to close down. On Labor Day weekend…as soon as guests arrive, you close the lobby smoothie place? Weird. The tiki bar by the pool as I understand is a separate company and the bar tender has by far the best customer service. The hotel employees could learn a thing or two from him. Our room was missing a shower curtain. A roach was crawling in our room that we had to kill and a random loofah was found behind the dresser. There was a bag of raw shrimp in our freezer…it looked nasty. The pool and hot tubs and lazy river are disgusting. This was our second time staying here. We had a great time the first visit, but this visit was awful and we just won’t come back after that.

The room needs updating such as new paint, new furnitures, if no carpet, need rugs. Someone needs to mop and sweep the floor. The hallways to the rooms need new carpet. ESPECIALLY THE ELEVATORS NEED TO BE WIPE...it was disgusting! There were signs that stated (No WEED) but we spotted a few people smoking weed. We killed a huge coach near the 2 hot tubs outside. Overall, the hotel needs a good coat of painthh

It was dirty and outdated nothing like the pictures there was brown spots all over the wall not sure what it was Air conditioner was leaking on the balcony there was green mold also along with the water Definitely not worth $298 The best part of it was sitting outside and going to the beach Dont go to this Hotel is all i can say!!

Not a place I will ever go back to. The guests were out of control and the staff were afraid to stop the actions.
Fireworks were being set off in the courtyard (not on the beach which was fine) and were extremely close to the balconies. When I complained, I was told there was nothing they could do. It's shame as I was there years ago and it was much nicer.

Our room was ok the only issue was the stove in our kitchen was not working correctly one of the burners on the stove top was burnt out. And several tines during our stay our room smelled of weed which I assume was coming from the other room near ours. Even though there are signs posted saying no smoking of any kind is allowed on the property. Our second to last day the outside pool turned green due to an algie issue so it was closed but thankfully they had a indoor pool and lazy river our kids could go in.

This is the worst stay I have had in years anywhere. Stay away. Outdated rusty rooms. Deteriorating balcony. Broken door frames. Despicable parking with stairs to get to room. No working showers from beach to property. Dark and dim everywhere. Only two lights worked in room reliably. Poor customer service at front desk. Blame computers for everything. Couldn’t accommodate early check in even an hour early and didn’t know if I could extend my stay on day one. They said check in before 11 on checkout day. I am glad I didn’t extend my stay at this horrible place. Pool was gross and the pictures as it looks online is clearly misrepresented. Please avoid this place at all costs.

Definitely in need of some updates. Has amazing potential with the location and staff but the state of the property is discerning. I am a little bit on the germaphobic side of the world but still.. Had an amazing time none the less. Would come back if they did some updates

The furnishings are old and spotted. The remote control to TV had masculine tape covering the battery. The patio furniture has not been wiped down or clean in many years. It was extremely dirty.

Great location. Furniture needs updating. No cookware or utensils, have to get it from the front desk. Every time you run out of toilet paper you have to go to the front desk.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The place is very dated, with a lot of fixtures rusty or scratched up. I didn’t like that there’s not an outlet on both sides of the bed. The key cards to get in our room only worked half the time. There was something wrong with the door. We had new keys made three times. The bed was actually very comfortable. And the staff was very nice. It’s located in a convenient location.

It was a family vacation we stayed on the 12th floor. We did early check-in for $30 and it was easy. The ocean views were spectacular but the overall property is outdated. Plenty of shelving for storage but our room has narrow passageway to get to the next living space. Staff were accommodating and welcoming, knowledgeable about the areas and gave us tips on where to go.

Booked thru hotels.Com in January for a July stay. “Resort fee” disclosed at booking was $128. Clerk at check in talked liked they would honor the $128 but at checkout the Hotel charged us $170 for the resort fee saying it had changed since we booked and they would not honor the fee as it was disclosed in January. Don’t know who should be blamed for this misleading cost. This brought the cost per night to well over $200. I would definitely have booked with a nicer hotel for that price. I think I’m done with hotels.com and I am definitely never staying at the sandcastle resort ever again.

Good location. Updated rooms. Clean rooms. Where they fell short was the customer service at check-in and check out, very uniformitive. Woke up after first night broke out in hives or bites went to address issue they said they would atleast minimum change the bed linens out seeing how i was literally covered in welts head to toe but they never did. When checking out i asked for a reciept and guy wouldnt give me one. Those were our only downfalls.

The staff were attentive and friendly. We had clean towels and sheets. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed every moment! So much to do!

This property we visited was in 2022 just after Covid and was going through renovations and was definitely in need of cleaning and repairs and maintenance. But it has potential if it was cleaned up.

When we enter our room, a lot of the furniture needs to be replace. The chairs are torn and the cushion is full out, the vinyl on the cabinets are peeling, and there are questionable stains in the bathtub and we had tried to remove them, but no avail. And the couch was awful, you can clearly see the age, sunken in and stains. The balcony ground is chipping off. The door knob to the kitchen is broken and in the oven, there was a used pan. The good thing from our room is that the AC is working and the beds are comfortable. The service and the employees are overall good. They're available, quick, and kind.

Hotel service is not good we stayed in hotel 2 days and we requested room cleaning couple of times but no one come and clean the room. Staff also not responsible.
