The hotel overall was good but the service was bad. It was as if the staff in the restaurants just did not care.
The dinner staff was a little better then the breakfast staff.

We wanted just to test at first. But it turned out to be the best holiday ever. So I had to extend my stay. It was an amazing experience from the scenery to the staff itself. I highly recommend this fabulous spot. I definitely will get back there regularly.

My family and I had a great time at Ontur. Premises we well kept and everything was very clean and operating as expected. Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was excellent with enough variety and fresh. Beach was gorgeous. Pools were nice and clean. Nothing but the best to say about Ontur. Highly recommend!!!

Our experience at this hotel was extremely bad. It says that it is a 5-star hotel, but it is at MAX 3 stars. The food was bad and we paid 1000 TL to wash 5 t-shirts?!
They try to take every oppurtunity to earn money from you. When we asked about the boulevard, the reception was pushing us to buy a tour. And again: the food is awful.

Their Air conditioning won't heat, and they tried to tell me they are work on that. Finally they changed my room, the second room was warmer but doesn't have Air conditioning either.

Before i’ve booked our stay i’ve checked some reviews online. Cleanliness was mentioned as negative but for my experience I can assure that the premises and the room we stayed in was spotless clean. Although it was the last day before closing for winter we had new towels in our room. It was much appreciated. Staff was very nice and friendly. Food was good, there was nothing to argue about. So the online rating isn’t that accurate. My advise: just check it for yourself and don’t be prejudiced by the online reviews. Overall we were satisfied.

If you want to get away from the crowds, this is definitely the place to go. The rooms are a bit dated, and the food was average, but we would definitely stay here again to enjoy the beach above everything else! The staff were very nice and welcoming.

The hotel was good the food was good but the A/C didn’t work for the 2 days we stay there. One of the night was so hot that we didn’t fall asleep till 4 am and nobody could do anything when we told them. They says the general system was down! So no I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

This is a good hotel, however…
Even with breakfast and dinner included in the rate we paid, we were asked to pay for tap water (water in a clear plastic container or jar) during dinner. A 1/2 - 1 gallon jar of water with ice costs $2-4. Charging money for tap water is weird.
All two weeks in August that we stayed in the hotel the “jaccuzi” kept displaying the same sign “out of order”. There was no nothing indicating any repair efforts.
Personnel working here speaks no English or little English (except reception with limited English). If you can’t read their ads and info in Turkish language – you are probably are not getting much…
Safe box is too small for my regular laptop.
For some strange reasons cleaning crew would take our used towels and would not bring any fresh towels. For several days, I had to search for the crew and ask for towels. My wife thinks they wanted tips for towels.
If you leave sign “please clean my room” on door knob in the morning, do not expect their very slow cleaning crew to clean it before 4 pm. Then go and find them and ask nicely to clean your room.

No iron in the room.
No internet connection in the room. Go to a common area to get a weak and unstable internet signal. This is for free. Bring extra-long cord to plug in available electric outlet in common areas.
Good things: thermal spa. You will have to buy a cover for your hair. Also nice short disco parties for small kids. Nice swimming pools and beach.

It is a resolt-like hotel with a giant padio area for swimming and a bar in premises. It also has big gardens and a swimming pool. Good for families with kids who'd like to check in and stay at the hotel for a few days.

Wonderful position overlooking Aegean and Greek Island of Chios. Swimming pools for all ages with newly renovated sea front decking, sun loungers, umbrellas and bar at the foot of the cliffs, with secluded beach and sheltered, lifeguarded section of sea. Half board accommodation is good value, with lovely local food, and plenty of variety. Staff friendly and helpful. Faulty light in bedroom was fixed within minutes by maintenance staff. Virtually all the bedrooms face north or south with a sea view. North view better than south but both stunning. Most guests are Turkish, which may be an indicator that the hotel is good value.

Grand Hotel Ontur offers a wide variety of facilities for all ages and requirements. Its clifftop position and sea views are outstanding, the quality and range of delicious food for breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, but the air conditioning could have been more effective. Gym, private beach, daily activities for children were all included. Two outdoor and one indoor swimming pool were all good. The health, leisure and spa centre was good but extra cost of all beauty, massage and health services would be significant if used. Staff were generally helpful but sometimes could be indifferent to the presence and requirements of guests.

I would consider that it's a very lovely hotel and the people are really nice. Their english is one of the best in Izmir and that is really helpful for non native turkish speakers. I totally recommend the hotel. Best regards to everyone.
