The hotel experience overall was good & the staff seemed friendly, but the hotel could use a little updating. Our room was average, but clean, the bed mattress could have been softer our backs were aching when we woke up in the morning. We didn't have the breakfast buffet that is offered in the morning, but my advice would be to add it to your reservation at time of booking, other it costs $14,99 vs $9.00.

Our only "complaint" is we were told housekeeping would refresh our towels every other day. No problem with that except that never happened. My husband requested fresh towels and was told they would be delivered to our room soon. That did not happen. Overall, though, the stay was good.

Not bad for an older hotel. It was really nice. Great job with all the updating that has been done. Everything was great for the most part. Everyone was very nice and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only issue i had was there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bottles in the shower. Other than that, it was all good.

We booked our room here for a last minute trip, and we were not disappointed. The hotel is full because it was drop off weekend at USC, but the staff was still super friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and quiet even though we were close to the interstate.

The front desk staff was amazing at check in. Very friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10. My guest and I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. There was long hair on the bed, in the tub and the toilet was not clean. Thankfully I travel with my personal linens and cleaning supplies just in case and unfortunately I had to use them. I expected more from Hilton.

Our room was on the 6th floor & the elevators went down and we had to use the stairs with my elderly mother. Also, we stood three days & were out of conditioner & shampoo ( not a big deal because it was complimentary) however, toilet paper wasn’t refilled so that was inconvenient until we got more from the front desk. Air conditioner was very noisy in the room. Staff were very nice.

Not quite up to previous standards. Example: Extending my stay by one night as checkout time drew near, the front desk asked me if I needed anything from housekeeping. Fresh towels and empty one trash can, I replied. That’s all. Front desk said they would pass the message to housekeeping. A half hour later, as I exited the room for the day, I sought out a housekeeper on the floor to mention that all I needed in that room for today was to replace the soiled towels with fresh ones and empty the trashcan, both having been placed by me just inside the room door. I returned laterthat evening: soiled towels and full trashcan greeted me upon entry into the room. This sort of double negligence would never have happened previously in my stays at this Hilton Garden Inn. It is still my preferred hotel in ColumbiaNW; just a cautionary note to management here.

When we arrived the room seemed great. We started to go to bed and noticed a cockroach on the ceiling! Went downstairs, and they didn’t seem to surprised, and told us that all of the rooms were sold out, and they could t move us. We killed the cockroach on the ceiling. About an hour later my son went into the bathroom and saw another one under the sink! It was midnight at that point and we didn’t have many options. We got up the next morning and started taking showers and realized that the body wash container inside the shower was empty! When we checked out we told the front desk about everything. She made a note for the manager for the next day to see if they can comp the room for us or not. Very disappointed and disgusted.

What i liked-The staff was nice and explained everything to us. It is a quiet, nice hotel. What i didn't like- The linen was not changed out with fresh sheets. There was stained, crusty sheets on our bed. I had to go down and ask for fresh sheets. I called the front desk for service, but didn't get an answer. I went to the desk to find 3 staff members just standing around talking.

We came for my son’s third birthday getaway. We went to Surge in Cayce. We enjoyed the indoor pool at the hotel, it was warm and very enjoyable. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful, nice, and professional. Will definitely stay here again when in the area!
