The location of the hotel was perfect. Many restaurants and coffee shops within 2 blocks, the metro station is only 2 blocks away so it’s relatively easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, loved them all.

The property is located around the homeless/street people area.

Such a friendly staff. Even helped me with some if my forgotten items after leaving the premises.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place is horrific. The people who work here are lovely, but the place itself is not. The mattress was buldging at one side due to probably being 20+ years old, it didn’t have a mattress protector on & was covered by one sheet, which moved through the night. The HORROR and disgust I felt after seeing the state that lay on the mattress itself. The area is also dodgy with zombie looking drug addicts around every corner, I did not feel safe here nor comfortable with how unclean the place was

The staff was so friendly. They provide good service!

Let’s begin with good points, Staff was amazing, they did what they could, professional and friendly. Rooms were kept clean throughout our 1 week stay. We received much help and tips on how and where to go which was amazing. There is plenty of restaurants, pubs and fast foods in the area.
Negatives, area outside the hotel looks crispy, its safe but you might feel uneasy when guy you pass by injects something into his vein. Its a big problem throughout whole of Athens, not just this Hotel…
View from balcony, nothing they can do about it but really if you a smoker youll end up looking at a 6 story tall grey wall, pigeons gonna keep you company at all times.
Paper walls, you can hear too much, so others can hear you as well.
Overall don’t be discouraged, go and explore! After all, you get what you pay for :D

The hotel is very conveniently located near a subway which is very helpful.. The hotel itself could use a update though I had a view of an unpainted wall outside and the bathroom only had a hand held shower. other then that it was very inexpensive and I felt safe there and the staff was very nice!

The staff is super friendly and probably the most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered. The beds were pretty hard and uncomfortable. Out the door to the right was a not so great neighborhood, but out the door to the left was a square that had both public transportation and a hop on hop off bus stop, and a really great little restaurant.

Ok hotel for what I paid. The area is not the best, but it is not the worst. The hotel is very close to the metro station.

Our stay at Nafsika was fantastic! This was actually our fourth time staying there in a little over a year. This is not a fancy hotel by any means, the decor is actually quite dated. However, what it lacks in decor, it makes up for tenfold with everything else. Let's start with the reception, Yiannis and Michael are the nicest and so helpful, they give you 5 star treatment without shelling out the big bucks! The hotel is very clean. The location can't be beat you're right around the corner from the metro and there's a 24 hour bakery down the street that sells the most delectable treats dirt cheap. Not only do I recommend this hotel, I plan to stay there every time I go to Athens (this is my second time in a year).

The hotel is in a great location. Close to the Metra and hop on hop off bus stops. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

Unpleasant and stressful. In our opinion Greece should be a memorable place to visit not a nightmare . Read complaint already submitted by Edna Araujo (Ms) my friend that live in MALTA.

Good budget hotel in Athens, just don't expect luxury. The price was great and the staff were very friendly. We were on the top floor of the hotel and even had a view of the Acropolis from our window! The free breakfast was good: toast, croissants, cereal, juice and coffee. The room itself was adequate. Beds were reasonably comfortable. AC worked great and we even had a mini fridge in the room. The bathroom left something to be desired, though. The shower was tiny, as one might expect from a European budget hotel. The back of the toilet leaked water on the floor, so there was always a puddle, and the toilet seat was completely broken off. The neighborhood wasn't the best, but we always felt safe and it was a short walk to the nearest metro stop. Overall we were happy with our stay, as for the price I doubt you could find a better hotel in Athens.

The mattress by the wall has a slop , not even at all. When you lay down you feel you are going to slip off the bed. The breakfast service was very good.

The hotel is centrally located 1 minute from the tube station. Breckfast was very good but the hotel in itself not really well kept. Bathroom very uncomfortable, Difficult to have shower, you can not put the curtain because so small. Its not really 2 stars hotel. It looks different from the website pictures. Overall was cheap

Spent 4 nights here, starting with one night before I went on a CHAT Tour of Greece, then 3 nights to see Athens. Hotel Nafsika was very affordable and the WiFi was really fast. The service was helpful, as I was able to arrange an early wakeup call on my tour day and was able to leave my luggage after I checked out. Its in a great location, near the metro, 1 kilometer from Acropolis and Plaka district to the South, 1 km from Archeological Museum and Exarcheia district to the North. Breakfast was OK. Only complaints are that the shower is one of those hand held devices, and the electrical sockets were about 1.5 meters off the ground. But thats fairly minor. Would stay again when I come back to Athens.

I booked a room in the Metaxourghio neighborhood of Athens, but needed a room for one last night. My hotel, a four star hotel, was booked solid, but I found a room at the Nafsika down the block. The difference in price was only seven less, but the Nafsika was like a dungeon compared to the hotel I left. I went from a large room with a king size bed to a room with 2 singles. Each seemed smaller than a twin. Everything was old, and I made sure to stay out as late as I could so that I could just pop in and get to sleep. The shower was probably 2'x2'. I did consider skipping on the shower, but I was getting on an 11 hour flight that afternoon.Metaxourghio is not the best of neighborhoods and there were no bolts on the door to this room. I moved the night table against the door and piled my suitcase on top of it so that I would feel safe. There is no safe in this room. The tv is the old type and it buzzed.A/C was good. Breakfast was decent. Staff were decent. Evening clerk was nice and gave me two 1/2 litre bottles of water at no charge.

We arrived at our hotel only to be given a room at a sister hotel across the street. The lobby was nice and the front desk people were very nice. The room was old and in need of updates. The carpet was stained, chair seat was torn. We were also on the street side which was very noisy from traffic.

Nafsika Hotel was situated in the perfect location, next to the metaxourghio metro station and an amazing cafe with the best gyros we found right across the sq. The double bed economy room is actually two twin beds but that didn't bother us much as the room was tidy and comfortable. The AC and TV were older, and didn't work up to normal standards but that was far outweighed by the friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is that their bathroom was somewhat uncomfortably small and the plumbing had a strange smell that seemed to fill it at times, but for the price we paid I could not complain in the slightest. If you are looking for a cheap place from which you can easily explore Athens and beyond I strongly recommend Nafsika, the money we saved allowed us to do so much more within the city and even take a day trip to the Islands. If your looking for a luxury hotel, this is not the place for you - but if your not a persnickety fool and don't travel to stay in your room the entire trip, This will do just fine! easily accessible from the airport and easy access to all metro stations.

Pleasant stay at Hotel Nafsika and i would stay there again. In addition to seeing the city's historic sites it was well worth taking a bus to the delightful coastal town of Nafplio for a great day out in the Peleponnese, just 2.5 hours from Athens

1. The hotel is located at a great point - easy access to metro station and significant sights (e.g. 15 mins walking
distance to National Archeological Museum).
2. Most tourist agencies come to this hotel to pick up tourists - this is very convenient if you join some local tour (by
bus) to other places (e.g. Delphi), as you don't need to go to other meeting point/other hotel to wait for the bus.
3. The hotel staff is very helpful in providing information you need, providing the service you requested, and very good
daily room cleaning - this gives the tourist a very comfortable and warm feeling, and very good impression of this
country.
4. As this is Athens, a big city crowded with countless tourists everyday; it is almost expected that one will encounter
pick-pockets/thieves easily. It's announced in the metro station that we should mind our own belongings. We
experienced pick-pocket three times (within 6 days) in the station of Monastiraki, Metasourgio, and Acropolis.
Though they fail to steal anything, tourists staying in any hotel near by metro station should be alert of this.
