It’s a nice cozy hotel and staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast area is nice as it’s located at top floor. Only drawback is rooms are very small and hard to move around with luggage in the room.

Good stay - hotel is close to the T1 line which was helpful for our stay and getting there from the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included but there is add ons such as orange juice and omlette so be prepared to pay a little extra. Overall a pleasant stay considering there is so much to do in Istanbul sonwere rarely in the hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly for a hotel of this price. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The room itself was perfectly functional, reasonably comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for enjoying the sites of Sultanahmet with some good restaurants nearby. The breakfast included was very nice way to start the day. Overall it made our stay in Istanbul very good and we would love to stay again.

Lovely old fashioned room, staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast was great

Really nice hotel situated in centre of the old town of Istanbul. Roof terrace bar has view of the Blue Mosque. Bar open all night, breakfast also served here, which is also lovely traditional Turkish. The rooms are equally lovely and comfortable well decorated. The hotel is not large and lifts are a little small but both functioned well. Really helpful staff

Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was always someone available to answer our questions, call a taxi, or assist us in planning day trips. Breakfast is served on a lovely roof terrace with a view of the Bosporus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Niles hotel and heartedly recommend it.

No frills, but clean and centrally located hotel. Near a mosque so you will hear the call to prayer. Breakfast ok but for the price should have some more options.

The rooftop patio really made the place with its free breakfast which was extremely well done and it offered drinks all day. The two staff members that cooked and served on the patio were also exceptional and extremely good at their jobs and overly pleasant. Room was nice and clean and bed was very comfortable.5 stars.

Great location and cleanliness, staff were kind af helpful. Loved the rooftop terrace - missed real cappucino and evening snack menu, but the bartender kept surprising us with nice and lowkey snacks without us asking. Loved that. Will stay here again if I return to Istanbul.

The Hotel Niles is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the heart of the Old City of Istanbul. The staff was friendly and I loved the welcome tea & Turkish delight. The room was clean and I appreciate that there were several water filling stations. It has a gym and pleasant rooftop terrace dining.

Very comfortable for a two night stay. Hotel staff was excellent. Breakfasts were amazing. Air conditioning worked great (very hot during our stay at the beginning of August). I would definitely recommend for a reasonably priced hotel right in old town for shorter stays (1-5 or so).

Shower is too small
Bed is crooked
We had to get another hotel and they didn't give our money back for the remainder of unstayed days

Clean, nice, little space but very well organized. Perfect area for shopping and site seeing. The streets are very narrow with lots of traffic during day time, but quiet at night. You should take in consideration that this is old historic part of Istanbul with all hustle and bustle. We enjoyed it!

Not as described on Expedia.
This is definitely not a 4 star VIP special class hotel. 4 star means upscale comfort with load of special services and amenities like concierge, fine dining, high class fitness center, room service, pool, none was present. By US standards a 2 star. Everything is outdated. Mattress was not comfortable and too low, almost 12 cm to the floor. Shower was too cramped to stand in. Uphill bystreet hard to walk up. Would not go back or recommend.

The staff provided exceptional service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with good options and the rooftop terrace a great way to start the day. The rooms were on the smaller side, but very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Overall, I had a good experience, with a friendly check-in by Ege and an apple tea to greet me and excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Marmara. It was clear they put a lot of pride in attention to detail and to the family-run nature of the business. It was easy to walk to the central tourist areas, and I felt safe in the neighborhood at night. I had one small issue with the bathroom sink, but given the age of the property, these things happen. Much of the interiors felt freshly designed and in keeping with the theme of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers and would stay here again.

What a wonderful gem in the middle of the old part of Istanbul and walking distance from everything. Staff were so friendly and helpful and a lovely rooftop.

Excellent place to stay, very close to Beyazit tram station and very central to all places. The staff at check in was very helpful, friendly and very clear in his instructions. He also had good advise to see things around and made some very helpful recommendations.
The cooling in one of our rooms was not great due to the air conditioning being on the corner instead of being opposite to the bed.
The breakfast has options for vegetarians, but felt that there should be no extra charge for omlettes during breakfast.
It would be good to have some spare table fans for people who feel very hot.
The hamam recommended by the hotel was really awesome.
Very clean tidy and excellent housekeeping.

Very friendly staff, grand bazaar was 2 minutes away, 15 minutes walk to sultanahmet where you can hop on the red double deck buses and go to Asian side and back to Taksim Square. Excellent location.

Old style but in good condition in an excellent direction

The area around the hotel was extremely dirty. There were cigarette butts and trash left everywhere. It’s almost impossible getting a taxi or an uber from this area because of the narrow one way roads. And some of them are blocked off. I stayed in the Sultanahmet area half the time and this was a VERY nice and clean area which was close to all the major tourist sites. Hotel Niles is only close to the Grand Bazaar. That’s it. If you want to visit Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, and the Blue mosque— these are all closer to Sultanahmet. And transportation is easily accessible. The blow dryer at the hotel is cheap and terrible. It’s an eco friendly one with 1 low intense setting that you have to press the entire time you dry your hair. I had to hold this down for 1 hour since I have long and thick middle eastern hair. It was the worst blow dryer Ive ever used. I wish I brought my own. The hotel room was incredibly tiny including the shower. I’m a super thin woman, but not sure how a man or a bigger person would be able to shower in comfort.

Excellent location. Within walking distance of historic sites and the metra. We came in very late at night and were greeted with a snack, tea and a small gift as we checked in. The room was big and they had a nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again

Great location (everything is very accessible) and the rooftop location for breakfast is very nice. It's a little noisy at night due to being quite central, but overall good value for money and spacious room. Would stay here again if I return to Istanbul.

It was an amazing experience. My room was simple but perfect for me (it was my choice to get the cheapest room).
The staff are very helpful and always willing to help out, nothing is too much.
The breakfast has a lot of options and the property is literally 400m from the Grand bazaar.

The hotel is okay. Staffs are amazing. Breakfast was good enough. I was staying in room 405. The AC wasn’t very good. Other than that the overall experience was nice

The room was very small and the toiletries were not replenished unless asked including tea bags.
The blanket was too small for two people.

Nice small hotel, great staff, breakfast on the roof.
Standard room a bit small but good bed and plenty of hot water.
Close to the big four to visit.
Turn right out of hotel to top of road and turn right again and follow the tram tracks to the main square, easy .
10/12 mins walk.
