Great one night stay for our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia. A bit cold at night esp the floor!!! Small heater in cottage which made it a bit more tolerable. Not sure I would stay more than one night esp in the fall. I’m sure it’s different in the summer. Wonderful owners very friendly and informative. Lovely grounds and quiet at night.

This cottage was in desperate need of an overhaul! The electric was out of date. There were not enough outlets and the few outlets in the bedrooms didn’t fit a 3 prong cord ( safety concerns ).
The beds were lumpy! Could they spring for some new mattresses and box springs?
There wasn’t even a small nightstand in the smaller room. Just an overhead light in there that you had to get out of bed to turn on and off.
No coffee table or such in the living room/ kitchen. No kitchen table or anything to eat on other than a skinny little counter facing the wall.
Where can you eat a sandwich?
I wouldn’t mind this if the price was reasonable but over $500 for a Sunday and Monday night stay in September was way out of line.
There was a beautiful porch but it was too cold to use. The signs throughout the cottage were a little much throughout the cottage telling you you can BUY ice during certain hours during the day. Money hungry people and these cottages were clearly paid and ready for updating by 1970!

We stayed for 5 nights in the Bar Harbor area and the hotel and cottages were very convenient to Acadia National Park and the downtown Bar Harbor area.
Nice clean and quiet area to stay in, we would definitely recommend !

Amazing place nestled near Bar Harbor. Owner was delightful and made our stay so enjoyable. She offered suggestions for dining and definitely recommend Looking Glass restaurant. Would recommend to anyone and will be booking again.

The location was very perfect for going to Acadia and Bar Harbor every day.
6.0
Convenient location for Acadia Park. However, the clean room came with 2 pages of “ Thou shalts”.,..take out your own garbage, wash dishes, put towels in bag outside of room, leave by 10am or by 10.01 pay late fee of $50/hr or entire day if after noon, etc. etc.. No daily housekeeping service and oh… do consider leaving a tip for the hardworking housekeeping. Buyer beware. This is a strictly run enterprise and I felt more like an employee than an appreciated, welcomed guest.

We appreciated that we were able to get a last minute room when our previous reservation at a different location was lost. It was a cute spot, and a great base for our family adventures.

The staff were extremely friendly before, during, and after our stay. My husband and I stayed 1 night. We were in town to see comedian Brad Williams for a late show at the local theater. The bed was very comfortable the room was beautiful and very clean. As we were leaving the next morning we were already talking about coming back for another visit! Keep up the awesome work!

We hope to go back in the near future. Best wishes to both of you.

We had a great stay at Eden Village, would recommend!

I really liked the set up in the room. I extremely disliked the a/c heating unit. It was extremely loud all night long. It was so loud that it seemed like an airplane was taking off about every 20 minutes. I kept me awake for hours.
I liked meeting Lena, the owner. I also liked how close to Acadia the motel was. The cost was also great. We unfortunately had the Whale watch tour cancelled due to weather. We hope to reschedule for next year and definitely woukd re-book with your motel as long as the a/c heating unit gets fixed.

Good people, well maintained property

Great overall stay. Motel room was great and fairly priced compared to competitors. Friendly vibe and the grounds were impeccable.
The only thing that was a “head scratcher” was all the policies and rules. Signs & instructions all over about what to do and what would happen if. . . Trust the guests, unless there is a reason.
Would possibly stay again

Loved the room at Eden Village! Saw huge wild turkeys in the back field. Room was so well appointed and super clean. Shower was great, bed was comfy and seating area out the front AND back door was nice. Thanks Lena for a memorable stay!

So helpful and accommodating. I couldn’t be more happy or impressed. There are people who like their job and who do good, and then there is Lena who you can tell loves what she does and goes above and beyond. Amazing property, comfortable stay and outstanding service. Highly recommend!!

Pretty area. Quiet.

The cottage was a disappointment given the price and season. I was amazed how the owners asked us to take our trash out, clean all the dishes we used, put all the towels in a bag and “hinted” that we might strip the bed to help the room crew clean the cottage. I was equally amazed they offered a tip envelope for the cleaners! I guess this is my Welcome to Maine in October message. I should have received a tip! Very disappointing stay. We will not go back. We noticed as we left there is a For Sale sign for the property. The new owners , when they purchase the property, might be less needy.

I booked thru Expedia ( first mistake)
I just chose a basic cabin for 2
Then the RULES started coming by email and texts
I was informed I had chosen a dog friendly cabin ( I had not!) when I called the owner, she required I cancel with Expedia and then rebook and pay the $50 cancelation charge
I did ( 2nd mistake!)
Then more RULES. Kept coming by email and text I felt like a 10 year old at Mean Aunt Karen’s house!
Determined to make the best of it, we checked into cabin #8 - set off from the road
and walked through the wet high grass to the tiniest excuse of a cabin (12’x16’)
So small, there is no headboard which means your pillows fall off
The kitchen is a1970 college dorm one piece that no longer works ( see pictures) so a fridge is sitting in your only hanging space and a lopsided 2 burner where your dishes should drain
The coffee pot doesn’t work
The shower is so small, don’t try to use it if you weigh over 150#s
And the mold ! The shower is disgusting But the “ kicker” was the envelope on the mantle that asked for a tip for “ housekeeping” but the RULES state several times “ There is NO housekeeping!”
Pay extra for ice, Pay extra for forgotten toiletries
Go find your own laundry
Cary out your own trash Wait, I thought this was a vacation!
There are PLENTY of other places to stay. Choose somewhere else!

Very affordable and convenient to hulks cove and Acadia national park. Some units fit 6 people which is excellent feature for families and a large back deck as well.

3 kids and 2 adults. Great communication with owners and appreciated seeing them around the property. Lodging was spacious and had a unique charm. Very clean. The room was a bit damp from the humid weather, but did not affect us. Really enjoyed our stay.

Easy check in and check out.
Friendly staff
Close to all tourist attractions that we needed

It was a very clean room at a lovely location. Everything felt cozy as well. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the humidity. Our room felt very sticky.

It was a cute property and we enjoued the back deck in the late afternoon!

Was very happy with the place. If I could change one thing it would be to make walls between rooms more insulated. Kids were jumping on the bed to the floor next door until 11pm. Would still stay there again. Great view, nice owners and highly recommend.

The folks here were great! Room was soooo clean, and nice. They even provided my son a fishing pole to fish in the pond that was on the property. We loved it!!
