Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai offers 485 air-conditioned accommodations with minibars and safes. 32-inch LCD televisions come with satellite channels. Most beautiful beaches and sunrise The hotel is like a elegant garden The staff is really nice and friendly The atmosphere is quite and you can hear the gorgeous sound of the bird You can see many lovely animals like monkeys lizard many kinds of bird and squirrels Standing on the balcony viewing the peaceful sea you know that life can really be a long adventure

Please reconsider stay- horrible stay. The buildings could be so beautiful but they have left it to literally fall apart. We were apparently in the new/upgraded wing yet building fallong apart, dirty and water stopped working for period of time. Garbage left around for our three say stay in corridors and pool area and only half restaurants are open and those that are offer poor quality food. The breakfast utensils were on kleenex papers and the Chinese restaurant smelled like smoke with stained table clothes and chairs. The beach and ocean is only redeeming factor but not worth the stay. I would say 2 star hotel rating. Consider rebooking elsewhere.

A very mixed review! I have now stayed here on five different occasions however it has noticeably in disrepair and badly maintained after Covid. My stay this time was not great but on my previous stays 2006-2018 it was great therefore I will hope this is purely down to the effects of covid and will improve in the near future.

Their food was TERRIBLE! The breakfast has limited number of food that doesn't even look good. And I had to return the food when I ordered some calamari and burger to the pool because it was just TERRIBLE! I understand they would have financial problems due to COVID19 but that doesn't mean they should offer such rubbish food to their guests. The location is far from the downtown, takes about an hour to get to the city but I had to go there every day for food, because there're not many restaurants neither nearby the resort. Also, the TV in the room was broken that their technicians couldn't even fix. Then purchase new TV for the guests!!! Also, the corridor was so loud and you can hear everybody walking by. You just can't deep sleep while you're on vacation. I don't think I will go there ever again.

Is a bit run down for the garden villa. Not suitable for elderly as buggy service drop off point is lobby, whereby restaurant is at lower floor and do not have lift service. Chinese restaurant service is not so good and it took an hour waiting time to serve food. Food choices limited for dinner and some are buffet which is not suitable for elderly and young kids.

I really liked the surrounding nature of the resort. Staffs were friendly as well. However, room (especially bathroom) and some of the resort facilities were outdated and unclean. Bathroom needs refurbishment work and overall cleanness needs to be improved.

The hotel staff were friendly enough but the hotel was a bit old and requires a bit of maintenance work. The food was quite disappointing and a lot of the things we wanted on the menu were out of stock. The kids activities were disorganised, whereby everything started late and only lasted 30mins when it was an hour activity. None of the water sport activities were available to do even though it was advertised everywhere. This hotel has so much potential but requires a lot of work to make it at a higher standard

It was perfect resort during holiday!!! Great service, beautiful scenery, good food, clean and neat room. So much fun! I just worried that some people said room was pretty old, but i don't think so. might be renovated? clean definitely. Highly recommend this resort for relax in nature. Pretty far from the city center but they have shuttle service and we used it twice. :)

Thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday here, we had two adjoining rooms that had beautiful views and were close to all amenities. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and their friendliness was outstanding. The restaurants were also outstanding and having live entertainment each evening was lovely. We would also recommend the Borneo Spa for a special treat and pamper. We would definitely love to return here one day, thank you.

Great environment, nice beach, garden & golf, some would say its far from the town though. The resort is a bit tired, definitely needs maintenance, but u can't beat the natural environment.

I checked in 20th in August and checked out in 22nd in August. I stayed at Nexus Family Room (1 Set Connecting Room). I've never get deposit refund. I wonder when I can get doposit refund. It would be very kind of you if you sned me a reply as soon as possible.

The staff are all courteous and offer excellent service especially in the F&B outlets. I visited this property in 2003 and it is the charm of the hotel that made me go back there again this time. Food at outlets is still good and you get quality for what you pay.

Nice view, nice landscape. However, it seems they are short of staff. No staff attended to us when we reach, only 1 staff at reception counter, no warm welcome by the staff like other resorts. Also, food served is not up to the quality.

first night the room is shabby and conditions are very bad. the following nights we change to another room but it is too far away to the swimming pool area but hotel staff can drive us. we found it inconvenient so changing room again. Besides, many flies in outdoor restaurant.

Unfortunately very crowded and loud breakfast place; qua tity of breakfast ok but quality of 2-3 * hotel. If you have big groups, you better seperate them from individual guests.. Too far away from city to enjoy other food. Golf is good and good value.

I had one of the best trip experience at this resort thanks to all the staff who genuinely dedicated to provide superb service.Special thanks to all the Penyu restaurant staff especially the manager lady who showed true customer service for us.The facility was well kept everywhere and all the food in every restaurant was excellent.If you're looking for a gataway at KK and prefers stay off busy downtown to enjoy quiet and beautiful ocean and sand I strongly recommend this place and you won't regret. We've booked this place a few times now, and it seems each stay is getting worse. This time our room was changed to a older section of the resort. We were close to what seemed like the sewage system, which didn't make it for nice view or smell. We had a car, and we had pulled over on the side of the road to take pictures of birds that we saw. A security guard came and shooed us away, being quite forceful and rude in not letting us stay to take pictures. Wasn't a very nice welcome, and left a negative taste in our mouth. Our bathtub also wasn't working very well, combined with our small refrigerator. We asked to get it fixed, but nothing happened. Will think twice before booking this again. Client hospitality can definitely be improved, as well as customer service. Despite all of this, the beach itself is nice and secluded.

3 hotels I stayed in KK all not so good experience. NEXUS and one other had on going renovation. It will be nice to inform us before we book so we can be prepared or opt for another hotel.

The resort is set on lovely grounds with lots of greenery. Some of the hotel is quite dated but they are currently undergoing renovations, which is good, but make sure you know this before choosing your room as there is alot of noise if your room is located near where they are working (and the renovations take place 7 days a week). We weren't advised of the renovations prior to our arrival and it did affect our enjoyment for teh first day but they were accommodating in moving us to an alternative wing after the first night.The staff were all very friendly and happy to help and there are several restaurants to choose from but don't have any huge expectations for food - it was fine but not amazing. The mini mart onsite has a good variety of basic essentials and is reasonably priced which is a bonus given there is nothing else within walking distance.A good place to stay for a couple of days relaxing in the sun.

Bed is comfortable. Facilites is good, they have everything. condition, a bit old. Lumination in the streets needs to be improve. Lumination in the room may need to be improve too. Number of power outlets in rooms for guests to charge their electronic appliances needs to be added. room service is perfect and price is reasonable, considering. Treatment for special occassions is good. Staff is polite, friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far off from KK town, but if you intend to relax, it is quite alright. Overall, it was a nice stay.
