Great location, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, and a nice quiet location. Also, very close to many of Arequipa's best attractions. Highly recommend!

Wow what a find this hotel was. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is in a beautiful character filled building and our room was spotlessly clean and felt very luxurious.
The breakfast on the rooftop with fabulous views of the mountains and volcanoes each morning was a real highlight.
Our host Eddy was so friendly, welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed chatting with him and learning about Arequipa.
This was by far the best hotel that we stayed in during our 3 week trip of Peru, Chile and Argentina and we didn’t want to leave.
Highly recommended!!

We got in late, the proprietor said he didn't have food, but would make us a fruit plate. Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next morning to catch our flight to Lima. Great breakfast and excellent service. Felt like we were living in colonial Peru.

Wow! I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay at Casa Arequipa was! Eddie, the owner, made my stay in Peru very special. He helped me organize tours, buses, and anything that I needed. He and Alison went above and beyond any customer experience I have ever experienced at a hotel. The rooms are charming and beautiful. The beds are so, so comfortable and breakfast on the rooftop is amazing! The views from the rooftop garden are gorgeous. It is a beautiful hotel that is in a quiet neighborhood only a short walk to the main plaza. I was able to store my luggage while I went our various trips. They have flexible check in and out times based around your travel plans which was super helpful. Often I would get back from a early bus (4AM) and Eddie was ready to get me checked back in and in a comfy room! I'm so grateful to the staff for making my stay such a wonderful experience!

We had an excellent stay in this cosy boutique hotel located about 10 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. From beginning to end we were treated very well by the manager, Eddy, and all staff, who were friendly and very helpful with restaurant bookings, suggestions and did their outmost to make our four nights stay easy and pleasant. The room (“The Library”) was comfortable and charming with a good mattress. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with fresh fruit and juice, eggs, bread rolls, jam and butter and of course coffee/tea. Highly recommended for couples who like to stay in a quiet area but within walking distance from the main sights and good restaurants.

Welcoming and Peaceful
From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. Our host met us personally each time we came into the hotel; he got up early to give us a care package when we set off at 3am for a tour; he joined us for breakfast each day and gave us insights into the city / sites. We could not have asked for a better host.
The B&B could not be more peaceful. It was a short walk (10 min) to the main plaza and main market, but it was incredibly quiet (particularly by Peruvian standards). The rooms and the common spaces were very well decorated. The rooftop eating area had incredible views. The beds were firm and comfortable. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
We would definitely recommend staying a here - it’s a few blocks away from the town square but the walk was safe and it provided a peaceful stay.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of the Plaza de Armes. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff was excellent! They were very helpful and attentive and addressed our requests promptly. Topping things off literally were breakfasts on the rooftop deck with a stunning view of Misti volcano. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, large colonial style room. Colonial castle lobby. Good clean bathroom with a comfortable hot tub. Location is a little far from center plaza, but not too far. Best bread for breakfast i had in Peru.

This great old home was one of the few hotels I returned to enjoy the hotel, itself. Relaxing, scenic, wonderful surroundings. The best hotel in this price range we encountered in Peru. An easy, safe 10 minute walk to the central square. Friendly, helpful staff. Delightful breakfasts with nice presentations. Quiet. My highest rating.

Helpful staff. Beautiful, well lit, spacious room. Comfortable and spacious bathroom. Everything clean. Staff helpful with early morning departure. On a quiet, safe, and walkable street. Pretty lobby and small interior garden area. About a 15 minute walk to the main downtown square and tourist areas. And safe streets. Absolutely recommend!

The service and quality of the breakfast were amazing; The boutique hotel is very tastefully decorated and furnished. Each of the rooms has an individual name above the door. The view of Arequipa's 3 snow-capped volcanoes from the breakfast room is fabulous. We booked 2 tours through the hotel's discount pricing and both were enjoyable. The hotel is very safe and traffic noise at night is slight, giving us a chance for a good night's sleep.

Lovely decor, helpful staff. Would stay here again. One of the best breakfasts we had in Peru in a lovely rooftop room. About 15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. We walked with no problems and took taxis at night - very cheap.

We just stayed briefly overnight - rooms were quirky and each had a different theme. Ours was a little on the small side - no significant table space available. Bathroom was clean and lots of hot water. Overall would stay again, it was a convenient location and nice to stay somewhere unique.

The home is lovely, and the personal could not be more gracious. The breakfasts , served on the top floor in a beautiful dinning room overlooking the mountains and city was excellent.

Located close to the Plaza de Armas (short taxi ride 5 soles) this boutique hotel has themed rooms that are charming. Wooden floors and large beds with nice room and bathroom fittings including flat screen TVs with DirectTV make this an attractive, good value place to stay. Breakfast includes everything you'd expect made fresh on he top floor with a view of the volcanoes. Wifi is fine. Only issue I had was noise. The street has become busier than in earlier times. The windows are double glazed and help a lot, but honking cars (taxis), bark dogs can keep light sleepers up. I used ear plugs and slept well. But everything else was great and it is definitely recommended. Zingaro, Zigzag, and other good restaurants are a short taxi ride away. Reception will do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable.

Funky hotel but the breakfast was limited compared to other hotels we stayed at in Peru

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Arequipa for 2 nights at the end of our 2 week vacation in Peru. The staff tried very hard to go out of their way to make sure our stay is comfortable. It's a 10 minute walk to the main square or a cheap cab ride. Breakfast was tasty but minimal. The rooms are all themed and very elegant.

We arrived early (7:30am), took the overnight bus from Cusco. No problem, they welcomed us and gave us breakfast. Very friendly staff, very helpful. Assisted with translating as we discussed trip details with a tour rep - seemed very interested in making sure we enjoyed ourselves and were comfortable. Excellent restaurant recommendations. Seemed more like a family get together than a hotel stay. Hugs when we left - when was the last time that happened? Absolutely loved it and would not think of staying anywhere else if going back to Arequipa.

nice and helpful staff, location is not very central but is in a quiet and peaceful area 20 minutes walk from the center, breakfast is ok, nice terrace with good views of the volcanoes. bedrooms are not particularly comfortable or modern, but are ok. the bathroom was a bit old, there is not central heating so in winter can get a bit cold (although rooms ate provided with one small electric heater/fan). overalll ok..

Overall, it was a very nice stay. The room was clean and nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. We arrived late and hadnt eaten, so they ordered a pizza for us from a local restaurant. Their English is quite good. They took care of our bags while we toured the beautiful city of Arequipa the following day. The only downside is that the hotel is located at a fairly busy intersection, and there was a fair amount of horn beeping and a couple of sirens during the night, so earplugs would be helpful if you stay in the same room we did. We were surprised by the noise since the description of this hotel used the verbiage quiet neighborhood. Maybe the rooms not facing the street are quieter. Except for the noise, we were quite satisfied.

This hotel was fantastic. The service was great, and room was fantastic and incredibly clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating, The breakfast each morning was incredible, and they were super helpful in setting up a white water rafting trip as well. It was only a short 15 minute walk to all the major tourist areas and an even cheaper cab ride if its late. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Arequipa and looking for a nice little bed and breakfast style hotel.
