Great staff, property has no maintenance and upkeep.
CONS:
Lightbulbs don’t work, multiple request for replacements
Mold in shower
Butler is no show, does absolutely nothing
Daily request for water & drink refills in mini-fridge
Daily request for ice
Request for coffee refill when it was used
Bicycles have flats & no brakes
Bathtub/“Cool dip pool” in bathroom room doesn’t work, hot water knob was broken off and cold water was turned off.
Bathroom lighting is extremely dim
Toilet constantly runs & surrounding wood flooring is rotting
Skylight over sink in bathroom has old animal feces on interior wall.
Car costs-1000 meters nextdoor to Mayakoba for golf was $65 US dollars.
Furniture is uncomfortable, dirty, and old, camouflaged with covers
PROS:

Staff is always cleaning
Servers are attentive

The staff there made the stay 1000 times better.

This is a great location and hotel. If you’re looking for relaxation, some solitude, great food, quietness, and a pet friendly hotel, this is it. I highly recommend this place and hope to return soon with my pup.

Staff was great and very accommodating and the property is beautiful, however is in very poor condition as lack of funding is apparent.
Food is plain bad and should focus on Mexican dishes which were really good.
Drinks feel watered down.
We spend one night and left to a different hotel.

Horrible hotel. The worst service ever. Not a real 5-star hotel. Maybe on a good day, it’s a 3-star. No options to eat; the food is worse than at a gas station. The staff is disrespectful and aggressive. Do not go.

It was a very disappointed trip, they have a very old and no well maintained facilities. Not worthy at all.

I usually book luxury resorts …. This wasn’t one of them. This place made my stay a living hell and added tax on top . Looking for a dirty establishment with exceptionally terrible customer service. This is your place !

The images of the property totally unaccurate would not call it misleading but intentionally false information.
Property is totally outdated and in deplorable conditions.
will never get back to this place before total renovation and or new management!!!

During the midnight, the bed sheets got soaked, the bathroom was flooded, and there were several leaks so I couldn't sleep. The hotel's response after that was the worst I've ever stayed at, and the manager only came to apologize after we checked out. They said they would email me, but there was no outer care or anything. Please note that the actual hotel's website photo is completely different from the current state. I think the building is old and needs to be restored.

If you're looking for PEACE & QUIET...THIS is the spot. Our lives are extremely busy and this was just what we needed to slow down and truly relax.
The scenery at the Aquamarine resturant is breathtaking. We went off season, so there was no crowd or reservations neccessary for dinner. 10/10 would recommend. I didnt want to leave.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I was blessed to celebrate my Emerald 30 at Blue Diamond and my stay was nothing short of amazing.

It was awesome

Compared to our last trip ten years ago, the beach has completely deteriorated. The dock gazebo was destroyed/gone. Maintenance needed on the decking and railings near pool. We rarely saw staff cleaning the pool area so we picked up after ourselves. Other than the beach combing workers who worked extremely hard to remove the seaweed everyday, the resort staff members worked very slowly. The rooms were exactly the same, well kept. The food was AMAZING as we expected.

Not sure how this was a 5-start hotel. It's dated, in desperate need of renovations and modernization - and from the facilitates to the staff outfits, most things were dirty and had holes in them. Not clear how this was Luxury, nor a 5-star but would not stay there again.

Pros:
Food is amazing!!
Property feels safe, tranquil and very relaxing.
Cenote room is private and very unique.
Grounds are fun to walk and well taken care of.
The spa was nice even if you don’t pay for a treatment.
Cons:
Room could’ve been cleaner.
No dinning options with A/C.
Facilities are showing age.
Beach not good; rocks hiding underwater.
Gift shop wants $37 dollars for a normal sized sunscreen. I went across the street and got two for $34.

The servers/ beach workers were absolutely amazing so attentive and the food was absolutely wonderful not a single complaint . I loved how safe we felt and how calm it was. This resort was not a big party place which is exactly want we wanted. Just a very calm and relaxed time.
I look forward to when we can book another trip back as it was a great five days for us all round . Loved the wildlife.
The only couple cons for us was the sliding doors to go out to our patio of our room was behind a pillar, which made it a tad difficult to get out of with coffees in hand. And the bed was a tad hard but it was still a decent sleep.
The spa was a tad too pricy for us but it looked so nice but was out of our budget.

I enjoyed the privacy of the resort and the staff were amazing. My only draw back were there were not enough dining options

Second visit at the Blue Diamond…the property is outstanding !! I cannot say enough about the staff; so friendly and welcoming. The food is a show stopper, every meal, every entree is carefully prepared and plated perfectly!!! I can’t wait for visit #3!!!

Beautiful, serene setting, with great rooms and service. Adults only. Bring some cash to tip, as tips are absolutely earned. The beach was sea-weedy, but the water, in general, was clean. You really can’t go wrong with the Blue Diamond, for those who need to relax, unwind, and not party.

Expedia is limiting me to 1500 characters so i will try to squeeze the main points in. This is a NO, DO NOT GO resort!!! 1. I celebrated my 49th birthday this week and wish I would have chosen the norm i.e. Secrets, Iberostar, Rui so on and so forth as my husband and I frequent all of Mexico providences. They require a $200 deposit like its a regular hotel. They charge a $20 DELIVERY FEE for room service at an ALL INCLUSIVE resort! The bed was a box spring totally hard as crap! There only 2 restaurants and they serve the same menu for lunch and one the same for dinner every night. The drinks were horrible. We only had one drink a day. Thats how bad they were and just dranked from the mini bar. Its a 2 mile hike to the lunch restaurant that you can either golf cart, or bike. Took forever for the carts. The butler was no good. And the backyard pool was a jungle. None of the reviews i read stated any of this. And the onsite tour excursions guy totally messed up our excursions. We paid for no kids. Overall horrible experience and service! I lost 4 pounds instead of gaining 8 at this place. It's old and outdated and the owners should really be ashamed for the in room upkeep. I really want my money back!!

Liked: quiet, comfortable, good beach, not crowded, safe, very friendly staff.
Didn't like: food is average at best, for boutique place like this.

Such a gorgeous and lush environment. We were there 2 nights- I was wanting to stay one more just to eat more of the food!!!! Our room had a view of the cenote and it was really unique and romantic :) I will also say- they had N.A. beer- and as a non drinker at an AI that is a huge plus! I would like to highly recommend any tour with Eduardo! He was set up by the Ceviche restaurant:) he was soooo fantastic and takes really great photos and videos! We did the sunrise kayak and snorkeling tour with him- it was such a special experience! The snorkeling actually wasn’t that great due to weather but he let us join on the afternoon speedboat snorkel for no extra charge and it was awesome!

This was our second visit to the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique. This is not a party resort, so if you're just looking to relax and chill, this is your spot. The food was also really good and the staff was extremely hardworking, friendly and accommodating. In particular, our butler Israel was outstanding, checking in with us often to see if he could make our stay a great experience.

Nice quiet environment, great staff, awesome food but, a bit outdated and drinks not so good. You have to bike to go from your room to restaurant and beaches or walk. Not enough bikes and not well maintained
4.0 / 10.0
Be careful which room you get.
We did not get the room we selected (1 bed instead of 2), the A/C didn't work, and there was a leak from the ceiling which went all over my clothing.
A lot of unfortunate events but the most unfortunate part of all is that we spent the rest of our stay trying to speak with management about our issues and were constantly told "later" or "soon", eventually not even getting to speak with management.
Overall, the place is beautiful and the people that work there are very kind but be careful which room you get, because there will be zero help from management if you have an issue.

Great Property, Concept, Staff (Mr. Martin, Luis, Stefhany and many others deserves 5 Stars recognition) Food, Service, value and more, still, “physical plant” is showing passing of time, shows maintenance needs. Spa is a good example as it shows funcional limitations, not working areas, limiting basic offered services. We wish them success and well. We would love to go back in the future.

I could not say enough about the staff and service at Blue Diamond. Everyone, from the front desk, to house keeping, to waiters, to even the grounds crew, always a smile, asking if you needed anything, any request was taken care of and taken care of quickly. The grounds are very well maintained. This is not a party place and that was exactly what we were looking for. Relaxing, quiet, very private feel. The rooms and all buildings do need some upgrading, but they are working on it and I’m sure a lot of resorts are, recovering from covid. The only true complaint we could honestly have was that our bed was a little too hard for our liking, but we are used to a tempurpedic. Even with that, would not hesitate recommending to anyone we know

We had a fantastic time; the staff was amazing. The food and drinks were top-notch. The atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant, and the rooms were awesome. We definitely recommend it for a couples' retreat. The breakfast was amazing and freshly made. We will definitely be back again!

Everything was great , the facilities are a little old but working , it’s a little bit of a problem the transport during the stay but can manage . Rooms are nice and the food and drinks are average . But if you are looking for a quiere relaxing place , this is the one .

An amazing stay. Great staff. Beautiful accommodations. Could use an update- but that didn’t affect our experience. Only caveat is- select a room closer to the beach as the resort is perpendicular to the water and requires some walking from rooms to the beach club where everything happens. All in all a fabulous stay.

We ended up getting transferred to this property because our other Hotel didn't work out and it was amazing I can not say enough about how wonderful this hotel is. The staff was amazing the food was great, the grounds are beautiful. I will never stay anywhere else. If you are traveling to Mexico, and you are looking for an adults only quiet , beautiful, fun place, stay here. You will not regret it
4.0 / 10.0
The property was nice and peaceful overall. however, it was really far out from everything we wanted to do. Our room was really far from the restaurant and pool areas on the resort. We had to wait for golf carts to transport us. There was an option to ride bikes, which was a nice perk, but it would’ve been nice if it was more of a choice versus only option . They did not clean our room every day upon request. The patio pool that came with the room was dirty, so we preferred not to use it. That was also something that led us to booking the state, but it was an amenity we could not use due to lack of cleanliness. There was no nightlife due to the fact, that the only bar was apparently under construction, which we did not know upon booking. This would’ve definitely impacted our decision on the front end we know. The food at the restaurants were good and staff was super friendly however we felt the stay was below average.
6.0 / 10.0
The front office sits a mile off the beach and our room was somewhere in the middle. When you leave your room, you should be prepared to be gone for hours at a time, getting back and forth from room to restaurants, beach etc was a hassle. I’d give the room and service 4 stars. Food and overall property 2.5. Always great to get to Mexico and after 15 trips or so, I don’t see revisiting this property.

It was our honeymoon, and they didnt upgarde us even though it wasnt packed... but overall, great time! Food was good. The beach area is a bit smaller... and lots of seaweed on certain parts.

Excellent food, restaurants are top notch. The property is in need of a renovation immediately such as paint, the boardwalk is destroyed, beach

We had a great time at blue diamond. The room and the grounds were very clean. The meals were amazing. The service from the staff at the restaurants and bar was great. We would consider going back someday. What could be improved is some sort of communication about what type of entertainment was going on through the week, we never knew what events were happening. There was also no snacks in the room for late night or menu for in room that said what was available for in room dining and at what times it was available. There are small things that could use improvement to up the service, but overall a great resort to relax and enjoy nature, and time at the beach.
8.0 / 10.0
For the most part we really enjoyed this hotel but I do feel it needs some tlc. I’m not sure it was worth the amount of money we paid but the staff was amazing, we ate well and it is a great stretch of beach.
10.0 / 10.0
This is a smaller resort with only three restaurants and 2 main pools but it was so quiet and serene compared to some of the larger resorts we have stayed at. We stayed in a cenote suite and it was so spacious and beautiful. The bathroom was huge with 2 showers and a patio off it. It was about a half mile walk to the beach which we either walked to or rode a bike if they were available. There were always golf carts on the way offering rides but the walk is quite lovely through the jungle. We saw monkeys, coatis and beautiful birds on our walks. The beach is one of the nicest we have been to. White sand, clear water and they do a really good job cleaning up the seaweed every day. The food was amazing, probably the best we've had at an all inclusive. The drinks were always delicious and they are not stingy on the alcohol. The service everywhere was very good. Everyone that works there was top notch. The only complaints we had were the showers weren't always hot. The resort is starting to show its age so could use some maintenance/upgrades. Also, the beach could use a few more chairs. All in all I highly recommend and we would definitely return.
