Location is good, rooms are clean and quiet spacious, a gym in the hotel would add some stars and the rates could be a cheaper comparing comparing to the standard, cooperative staff

This is not a 4 star hotel. I am not sure how they get this rating. The hotel staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel lack a window in the bathroom that’s closed completely. Basically mosquitoes and this can easily fly via the bath room windows vent that does not close properly. The electric and the condition of the room is very old and requires refurbishing.

I'm glad I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. They were courteous and offered amenities like a hair dryer and iron & ironing board (on request), and they even had an attendant allocated to each floor should you need anything. I suspect I was upgraded to a nicer room upon arrival as it seemed nicer and bigger than what I thought I'd booked. My room had a small balcony, although the door to it was locked and I had no key for it. I think other rooms had unlocked balconies as I could see them when I walked around. The tv had full cable channels, and the breakfasts were good enough.
The one drawback is its location. A few times I walked into, or back from, the city center, but you're better off taking an Uber each time. It's just far enough to waste precious time, and it's not a pleasant walk.
The hotel is located directly across from a major hospital, and you have all sorts of sick or injured people strewn throughout the street. It also seems to be located next to some local temples, as you have additional crowds of people in prayer throughout the street. The rest of the crowds seemed to be homeless. So not a fun mix to walk around in, and you'll be looked at, if not approached.
Again, take a taxi or Uber where you need to go and use this place as your resting spot, and it's a good stay.

This hotel provided excellent service and cleanliness. The location was a short taxi ride to the Gate of India and other attractions, as well as close to markets. The food in the restaurant was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers coming to do shopping in Mumbai. A great place to stay!

We booked this hotel in Mumbai, which seemed like one of the more reasonable priced hotels in the area. Previously in India, we had been staying in Hiltons and other brand name hotels. If this is what you are used to, be aware that the West End hotel is more like a budget motel than a Hilton, despite the price. However, the service was friendly, and for a one night stay we didnt have any issues. They are doing some construction on the outside of the building, and the first door we pulled up to made it look like the hotel had been closed.

Last minute change of plan brought us to this hotel which reminds me of the olden days in design. Food wise is best we had in India after Shangri-La in Delhi but at decent price.

I booked this hotel thinking a five star but definitely its not even close to a single star according to Canadian standards. I do not know how does the rating work in India. The food in the restaurant was good, staff OK. The hotel itself needs lot of fixing, the hotel inside seems like a hospital, elevator sucks. If I owned this hotel I would make it like a 4 star with a little decorations, painting etc. The location of this hotel is good, close to everything. You also have to pay for WiFi.

It is located near hospital and masgids and darga. Very much crowded. No coffee making facilities...no break fast. No orderly built rooms. Earlier it should have been apartment complex and converted in to rooms. No proper bed. If it is priced below $50 then it is okey.

food was stall and overpriced. the service was very bad. no print outs available at the hotel. wi-fi overpriced. looked like a place which was only out to loot you as every thing came for a price and oh yes it was overpriced as it was not to customer satisfaction at all.overall very bad stay don't opt for it ever.

It was a old time hotel. Basic amenities but nothing fancy.

Not a bad hotel, staff were friendly. The atmosphere, as one of the other reviewers noted, is strangely seventies. But they make you pay by the hour for wi-fi, which seems amazing, in this day and age. And also - no toothbrush! In this price range you might expect those little extras thrown in.

The hotel is very conveniently situated and has a certain old world charm about it , However the food could be improved .

If you are looking for 5 star comfort this is not for you but we loved this character building. We could not fault the staff/service/restaurant/rooms. Really great value for money. Highly recommend as also well placed for walking to all the sights.

I chose the hotel essentially because it was close to the start (and finish) line of Mumbai Marathon. But apart from the proximity what really made my stay special were the courteous and caring staff, comfortable room and good food.
Full points to the staff (from waiters to the receptionist) for treating me so well.

The room was quite spacious. Everything worked. Staff were friendly. Not complaints. A small gripe - the breakfast buffet could have been better - but it wasn't terrible either. My friend and I went to watch a cricket match at the Wankhede - and the location could not have been better. Also walking distance to both the Churchgate and Marine Lines stations. And a short taxi ride from many Mumbai attractions.

One of the very few hotels in this range in India that is practical for business. There is no luxury or comfort, but clean, and has a working internet with reasonable charge. I would go back there on my next business trip when I only need a place to sleep and check emails, but definitely not if I am going with family or friend.

OK hotel for medium price hotel. Location next to Bombay General Hospital not ideal for tourists as it is a walk to Churchgate and Colaba, but hotel itself is clean and rooms are adequate.
