Is the 4th time we visit Koh Chang and this hotel. Service, facilites, food and Beach are great. Thanks KC Resort for another memorable stay.

Wonderful hotel and awesome staff
2.0
We enjoyed our stay as it’s a beautiful beach and has lovely gardens. Some parts of the hotel are showing their age and it needs some maintenance. The lightning could be improved as well.
Checkin could be a more friendly experience no welcome drink etc and told to go and wait even though we were only 15 mins early. The staff cannot control the management of Sun beds with towels on them at 7 am yet the people are in having breakfast used towels left on sun beds all day yet people have finished with them.We came from the Retreat at Kai Bae this is a true 5 star resort. KC’s staff were not friendly and hard to find. There was no one to order from around the pool you had to go up to the restaurant to order. This is
no longer a 5 star place it’s old and lacks good service. However the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great and there was a decent breakfast.

Very good service and and smiling thais.

Decent hotel, but it’s not a five-star hotel. We had booked a beachside villa apartment with our own sun loungers. The sun loungers were always taken by others, and the hotel told us to contact them to get new ones, but this took far too long or wasn’t followed up at all, so after a few days, we just gave up on that.
There was supposed to be Wi-Fi, but it didn’t work. They promised to fix it several times, but it never happened. Instead, we had to buy expensive data packages on our phones.
For the first few days, we relaxed on the beach and ordered lunch to the villa. One day, a waiter rudely said: "Don’t you go other places?" After that, we stopped eating at the hotel.
Otherwise, Koh Chang is very nice, and there’s a lot to see by renting a scooter. I can recommend the island, but not the hotel.

Very nice and relaxing place to stay. We were there 9 nights and it was wonderfull. Everything worked excellent. Only minus comes from the live music at the Beach bar. It was way too loud to have any conversation.

We stayed 2 nights. Nice hotel and good service. Breakfast has everything you can wish for. Room and bed of nice quality.

The maintenance of the pool is of poor quality, the air conditioner in the room leaks

Stay was ok, staff very helpful, breakfast, all the food in warmers is nearly cold and the quality of food in general is poor, choice is not great, we changed rooms after 3 nights as the first room was damp and could be a danger to some peoples health, this was on Hillside, also very noisy over there, we had problems late at night, and with only 1 staff on overnight things don't get looked at til next day, pool area great near beach, just on Hillside, all in all stay was ok, its a resort so production line tourists mainly.

A beautiful hotel with pool and breakfast area right by the beach.
A mix of travelers from all four corners and that was reflected in the breakfast buffet. Although the western options were a little bit slim, and the fruits available were only the box standard melon, pineapple and dragonfruit… we did discover however that other fruit (could, would) be made available upon request.
We stayed on the Hillside with our room having access to the hillside pool.
A very nice hotel but it could do with some tlc (e.g. grout is worn, paint flaking, a few missing tiles etc) but nothing too major.

It was a very relaxing stay and my only slight complaint was the gecko that was in my room. It would make loud noises at night and the last night I saw it on the ceiling above me. Right the. I felt a cold drop of water on my arm… it wasn’t water, the gecko pooped on me. Well thankfully I have a high tolerance and the facilities are amazing with very friendly staff. Also, get the sports massage if you’re an athlete. It was so intense, but felt amazing afterwards.

This was the first trip to Koh Chang. The resort was exactly as described on the website. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was very tasteful. We were a family of five and took two adjoining villas opening at the beach. We stayed five nights and overall it was a fantastic experience. The only shortcoming was that the Internet service in the villas was a bit choppy but definitely was not a mood spoiler as there was so much to do around us. Definitely recommended for families

A nice 4* hotel on the nicest beach of Koh Chang.

No drawers to put your clothes, aircon in poor location with regards to sleeping, glass door and curtains do not open the same side.

Great location and beach. Had the paradise villa which was very nice in 5106, however they need to trim the big tree out front as you could not see the sea which was a real bummer. Charged me for a premium room but not much of a view, I’m sure they would not use that room for advertising.

Stayed in large deluxe room with outdoor balcony tub. Arrived one hour past check in (3pm) and still had to wait one hour to check in despite hotel not appearing busy. Room not ready still (baby crib in room when we got there (I dont have a baby). Air conditioner leaked water throughout trip in large pools on the floor and on our hanging clothes. Staff forgot many things daily like water and towels.
Received 2 notices on a 5 night trip that limited access to the grounds. They fumigated one day and held a wedding that limited pool, beach and ocean access.
Balcony tub not worth it, it was cracked, weathered and dirty. Also, 2nd floor balcony did not provide privacy and fitness room users could look onto your balcony. 2nd floor fitness room blocks most of your sea view from your room.
Breakfast was the highlight of the resort. The resort itself could use a refresh.
If you do book here, wait for an online deal and stay in the smaller room. Paying for a tub and seeing treadmillers instead of the ocean isnt worth it. You'll save money and maybe your AC wont leak.

All in all a pleasent stay at a beautiful Resort on a wonderful Beach. The Resort is Nice with some small issues like:
chaotic breakfast with too little space for such a large Resort. Typical Thai managed hotel in both good and bad ways. The main pool is full to the brim and the staff could smile more and finally the Resort could use some maintenance here and there!

Beach was nice, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Probably best hotel in Koh Chang. We had a great time here.

Our first time visiting Thailand, we’ve just spent a week at KC Grande Resort & Spa on the island of Koh Chang before heading to Bangkok for the rest of our vacation.
We found the resort to be well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. Our ground floor Sea View Grande Deluxe room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the close proximity to the beach, pool and restaurants. We were provided with free parking for our rented scooter.
The daily breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of hot and cold foods, and good coffee. WiFi was mostly reliable, and decently quick, with access everywhere we went on the resort property.
We really have no complaints about our stay, but note that lounging chairs on the beach and at the pool are quickly claimed with guest towels early each morning.
Without a single exception, the KC Grande staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. No one was ever hovering around, housekeeping was quick and efficient each day, and the front desk and security personnel were always smiling and ready to assist. Perhaps the best resort experience we’ve had, in terms of the staff interaction.
Highly recommended!

The Room:Deluxe Garden View Villa-it just looked at the back of another room and the entrance to where all the housekeeping staff kept bedding etc, so it wasn't very private & had no view whatsoever. I was just a room, not a villa, with only a thin screen separating the balcony from the room next door. It was a large room & well decorated, the bathroom was very big. Only mirror was bathroom, could not plug hairdryer in as fixed towel rail was over the plug.
Beach:bits of litter on beach which spoilt it somewhat, would not have taken long to clear daily.
Service:Reception was chaotic & on the occasions I asked questions, no one was able to help or answer. We had one day where all towels & robes were taken from our room by housekeeping, they were replaced when we called Housekeeping - but that should not happen as from the price list for every item in the room,we know they may have charged us for them. The chaps that drive the golf buggies around were lovely and happy, as were the staff at breakfast.
Breakfast: delicious & a great choice.
General site: Small bits of rubbish everywhere, these could easily be cleaned up-there was a razor outside our room on the floor the entire time. The biggest issue was the noise from the construction work, if we'd had any idea how extensive it was, we would never have booked.
They are building 2 huge buildings & all day from 8am-9pm you could hear very loud construction noise, angle grinders,hammers,diggers-the pool & beach peace ruined.

It's an OK place to stay, but not great.
Pros:
- nice beach and beach front pool;
- clean room, comfy bed;
- great breakfast;
- free sauna in the pool area
Cons:
- it is falling apart in public areas and the ongoing limited renovation won't fix this any time soon. They need way more than that;
- there is no territory of the resort as such - small loan next to the pool and that is it. It is not cozy and you don't want to spend time there;
- property does not respect own renovation times and schedule. They extended it by 2 weeks after we made the booking. If we knew, we would pick a different option; Manager declined our refund request for the last night
- announcement in the room says work will finish at 5 pm but it continued well past 7 pm every day
- first 2 nights the floor was fully wet as the room below us had their AC on at all times so the water condensated on the cold floor;
- you have to cross the road every time going to the beach or breakfast and back;
- Koh Chang island has nothing to offer and we got bored real quick

Fabulous stay. Everything was first rate.

Lovely hotel. Had a Paradise Beach villa. On the beach front. Lovely room. Beautiful view. Aircon is excellent. Shower good. Bath is fun.
Housekeeping is a bit strange. Fold your towels and put them on your bed. Caught out a few times for something to dry myself with because of this. Also the bed is made up with about 8 throw pillows that initially. Looks nice but housekeeping don’t redo them when they do your room, they just let them siton the floor next to the bed . Best to remove these if it’s just for the initial ‘show’.
The breakfast is poor. I was really disappointed. The deck outside is kinda useless, should be replaced by the chairs the villas further back have . The deck area was messy with leaves and sand and rarely cleaned . One day we notice they had simply tipped the cigarette ends from the ashtray onto the ground by using the sand hose to clean it . Disgusting! Why did we bother with an ashtray! The sun beds were old and dingy and our particular villa was not positioned well for those. The front and deck of 5105 needs redone.
Pool was nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has works being carried out until October . We were told it would make place between 9-5pm, but they were still making a lot of noise at 7pm. Luckily this didn’t get noticed in our room because it was quite far from it but the non Villa rooms will here it very clearly!
For the price, this was nice. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. No Nutella is a bad sign.

I think I paid too much money for this place. I think it’s mildly overrated, The prices at the time of my booking were definitely high for Thailand at about $100/night. The deluxe rooms are clean but the decor is outdated so I upgraded to a garden bungalow. They are not sound insulate but beautifully decorated and much more modern. The facilities close entirely too early to be called a 4 star hotel. The area is very walkable. I would stay again if I booked in advance and got a better deal.

Swimming pool area and the beach were great! Overall our experience with the hotel was very good. Only negatives with the hotel was that we were unaware about the renovations of two main buildings during our stay and the hotel building and the surrounding could have been a bit more clean. But then again it wasn't a season.

Pros.....The staff on the property are great. Alek and front desk are exceptional. Had a wonderful dinner. pool is amazing.
Cons. Bathroom mirrors are wayto low. impossible for a 5'11 man to see him self. Lack of lighting in bathroom a bigger issue. Breakfast offers a wide variety. I am a bacon and over easy guy. The bacon everyday was extremely over cooked and hard. Walk around the dining room no one eats there bacon . Manager needs to wake up and wonder why no one eats . Have a chafing dish label "over easy eggs". JOKE. Every egg is broken and cooked till well done. Would be better off putting nothing in that spot. Balance of buffet is passable at best,\
Thanks again Alek

Service and property are top notch for the price and exceed even the most expensive hotels in Koh Chang.

Overall an enjoyable stay at KC Grande with the family. However issues with our Poolside rooms (4 rooms booked)
Booked months in advance & placed a request with the resort so if at possibly to have 4 rooms side by side
Upon checking in 2 rooms side on to other & other 2 rooms separated
Our room & parents rooms shaded by adjacent building (both rooms damp & parents room also smelt on dampness with no working AC)
Parents ? Upgraded to top floor sea view (not what we’d envisaged for a family break.
All hotel staff a credit to the establishment.
Can tell unfortunately that times have been hard following the pandemic as parts of the hotels closed off (small restaurant & poolside bar)
That said just needs a little more investment
As said it’s the staff that make this resort

We stayed 7 nights in late April 2023. Such a beautiful resort on the best stretch of white sand beach on Koh Chang, set amongst gorgeous water gardens. Every individual staff member was so welcoming and thoughtful and kind to us, especially the lovely bar attendants at the swimup bar. The beachside pool was heaven and we could have stayed there forever. The Chiva Spa beachside massage was amazing. The buffet breakfast was so well prepared and such variety, we had something delicious and different every day. We are already planning a return trip. Highly recommended. A cut way above any other hotel or resort on the island.

We also stayed in KC in 2017 and 2019 and they improved a lot since our last stay. For example the breakfast was much better (good coffee!) and now big towels are available for swimming. There is also more English speaking staff which improves the communication. Well done! For now I recommend to replace the wooden deck near the pool. keep on going in the right direction KC.

Love this resort. We stayed at the beachfront villa and love it. It’s clean, has a nice big bathroom, and a very nice balcony where we were able to relax and enjoyed the view. The staffs were all very nice and helpful. I will definitely come back to KC Grand.
