Staff very helpful and hotel clean

Very comfortable and spacious double room with nice view. Very good breakfast with buffet and restaurant for dinner with 3 dish options in half board. Excellent position very close to Santa Maria center and in front of the beach. 3 nice pools with comfortable sun beds, all staff nice and friendly always ready to help. Value added the courtesy room.

The hotel was in perfect location by sea, stroll to shops and restaurants. Staff always happy, lovely hotel and very clean

Had a great holiday at Morabeza. Beautiful, attractive hotel. Nice Junior Suite with large bathroom. Spacious, well kept garden. Bordering the beach and the town of Santa Maria, everything within walking distance. Not to mention: fantastic, friendly staff. Highly recommended.

This is a very good hotel. But not as good as it should be. Many details were never explained to me when I checked in. For example: there was supposed to be a welcome drink/meeting the following morning, this was not mentioned to me. I found out days later and it would have been very helpful to me if I had known about it. As a result, several things were a mystery to me: The restaurants - I showed up at the downstairs restaurant for their buffet dinner on Saturday evening. I was told all the tables were reserved and there was no table for me. Someone else had earlier told me that reservations were not required, so I just showed up. This also happened two days later. I also wondered about towels - I had a green towel but I noticed most people had blue towels. As a result I was afraid to use the main pool and bar area because I didn't see any green towels. I went to ask about it and was told the green towel was actually a higher class and I could go anywhere. Who knew? Certainly I was never told and felt banished to the distant 600 block pool area. So...many, many strange details and lack of communications.. Perhaps a language barrier? Great hotel, not so great management I would say. Several waiting staff were also less than friendly or helpful. This hotel does the have the best location on the beach. The town area is somewhat sketchy, especially at night. Many aggressive sellers of all commodities.

Our stay was excellent. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Housekeeping and cleanliness of the room was very good. The gardens are beautifully kept. The area around the pool was spotless. The location is fabulous, close to town and right on the beach. The hotel is quietly luxurious, elegant and very charming. It’s gorgeously relaxing - no loud music or pool activities - but you can learn a few words of Creole, how to play Uril and Petanque, and there is live local music in the bar a few nights per week. Guest services can help with anything and everything.

Great access to town and dive shop. Quaint hotel if a little dated now. Nice pools never felt crowded.

Hotel is a little dated, air con and electric fan were noisy, bathroom did not have an extractor, bath robes in the list of facilities didn't appear despite a request. Hotel is in an excellent location with lots of space and is peaceful and quiet.

The Morabeza is a haven of peace and tranquility; it is not for those who like a hectic life! They do not have swimming pools with big water chutes, play load music all day or have an endless list of activities. It is for those who have travelled for real relaxation - we couldn't believe how wonderfully quiet it is! The staff move quietly through the hotel and grounds, politely respectful. The rooms are very quiet thus ensuring good sleep and privacy. It is a wonderful hotel and it comes highly recommended by ourselves - thank you Morabeza for being what you are

The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. It has very easy access to the town which comes alive at night with lots of very good restaurants. The beach side restaurant was great for lunch, we only ate at the hotel on 2 evenings as there are lots of great restaurants in the town Only downside was breakfast. It was a buffet style breakfast but not all the food was covered and there were flies everywhere. If you want a guided tour around the island then ask for Nelson he was a great guide

Great location

Felt that food options were very limited especially around the pool area. A pizza oven wouldn’t go amiss. Bathrooms don’t afford much privacy due to the type of door.

We found the staff friendly and welcoming. Food was good, room was of a good standard. Cannot fault it. Highly recommend a visit.

Perfect. Hotel location for those who like to explore on foot but also feel close to home, well, at least temporary home. Staff were extremely pleasant and friendly or spoke. English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and a few other languages. The hotel has lots of activities and the food options are delicious. The only downside was the old school room keys and the stray dogs begging for food. Hotel is extremely affordable and has a beautiful view of the sea

Nice, comfortable hotel. Pools are nice, the beach restaurant is nice. Rooms with beach view are nice with very large bathroom. We did not have a great experience with restaurant La Tortue though.

the property is the first in sal to open as a hotel I believe, it is seeped in history and in an amazing position on the island. the staff are warm friendly professional and efficient. reception was always helpful and informative and all the staff were excellent. I cannot wait to go again. thank you morabeza.

Lovely hotel with good facilities for families. Great location and beachfront rooms are large and clean. Best thing though are the staff - all very friendly and helpful.

Location was fantastic, right in front of the beach! The place is really like a dream, the staff is friendly and everyone makes an effort trying to understand. However for the premium price paid I was expecting a bit more attention to details, for example we had mosquitoes in our room and took us to complain 3 times before they placed a mosquito repellent in the room, the pillows were not really comfortable and a bit old and lumpy I'd say, the restaurants (all three of them) where pricy and quite average... However overall our stay was really good and we would book again.
