During my stay, I lost my backbag in the bus. Fortunately, the staff of Trlala hotel enthusiastically and patiently dealt with the communication and the contact with the bus staff. Luckily, Tralala successfully got the news that my backbag was found and immediately told me how to go to the bus office to get it back. Appreciate the staff. Thanks a lot.

A bit of a walk uphill from the train station but a nice location. Hotel has a bar and restaurant. Helpful staff. Nice room but small.

The room had smoke smell. It caused lot of grief. Inspire of repeated requests, it was not addressed. In future, I would be booking through IHG. My experience at three other locations booked through them were excellent,

I had a very good night as someone who struggles to sleep. The staff was very professional and kind.

The staff were so helpful.

Overpriced, read the below before book it.
The bad bits:
Bedroom is very small, the 3rd bed for my son barely fit in the room.
Internet wifi was working.
Sign of mould in bathroom.
No air conditioning.
Windows open with fan on = very noisy and bad sleep.
Plugs are hidden behind bed so if you want to charge the mobile you need to move the bed.
Good bit: breakfast is nice

Good hotel, good service. Only 1 problem - very slow internet connection. But overall 9.5/10

Excellent, lovely hotel that serves an above-average breakfast. Delicious! The rooms were small and it was a 10 minute uphill walk from town. But I would definitely stay there again for all its benefits.

Charming, peaceful location; friendly staff; comfortable rooms. Recommend the superior deluxe room--the balcony was delightful!

Great place close the transport and super friendly personnel.

The personal were excellent they provided me with a room though they were not informed of my hotel.com booking which did not come to them. The hotel was fully booked and they didn’t have my category of booked room ( and though it was not their mistake) they upgraded me for no extra cost. Also, are very helpful and their restaurant has excellent food.

Great beautiful hotel located in a very charming part of town, easy access to train station and the lake, plenty of restaurant, and bakeries around. Room was a bit small but great for 1 night with everything you need
Highly recommended

Very nice hotel and the surroundings were really nice as well. A nice park ("Donner") nearby with a good view over the lake and Montreux.
Staff was friendly and helpfull (they explained many things like where to park and how to use the public transpart which is offered for free)
Unfortunately the building itself is quite noisy. One could hear cars and even bicycles outside breaking during the night, as well as chairs moving in other rooms and other guests talking in the hall way. One could even hear the lightswitch beying used in the adjacent room.
So be advised to bring earplugs if one is a light sleeper.

Room was infested with bed bugs. First night was OK but second night was miserable. I informed front desk promptly at checkout. They just waived 20 CHF. No other intention or effort to remediate the problem. Avoid it

Did not like the whole vibe at the hotel. The woman at the front desk was kind of helpful but very abrupt.

I booked a room with a balcony and they gave me a regular one. When you check in, you're supposed to get the right room without having to ask. After a certain hour at night there is no one at the reception, and that night there was a scandal in the rooms next door that they did not let us sleep all night and we could not do anything since there was no hotel staff. There were no food options nearby, everything was closed. To make a delivery to the room was a dare, and we had to beg for help. In the end, I don't recommend it at all.

The Tralala is a quirky little hotel in the hills above Montreux's waterfront with a music theme. The staff was super nice and accommodating, finding extra bed pillows for us and letting us check in early.
We were in room 307. Two narrow twin beds. No AC, but a fan was provided. There was a safe in the room. A shower but no tub. They had wash cloths -- a big plus for Americans! There were plenty of outlets for phones, e-readers, laptops, but bring plug converters. The room had a window, from which, if you leaned to the left, you could just espy Lake Geneva.
The location is not in the center of town. This is a plus (quiet) and a negative (a steep walk down to get to restaurants, shops, etc.). However, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which is great!
We did not take breakfast at the hotel, nor have a drink in the bar, so can't comment on that. One note: the hallways are a little foreboding, with painted cement walls that are a bit prison-like. But who spends a lot of time in the hallway anyway?!
We would stay here again.

Plus: position above the city so you can enjoy lake view. Located among old part of the town which is very attractive. Very clean and cosy. Bus station is just in front of the hotel entrance.
Minus: again position when it comes to reach it by walk. Walking up the hill is a bit hard. Room very small. Very hard to get unpack and then there is no garderobe closet. Room a bit noisy since it overlooks the street. Basic toiletries . No air condition.

But not much else around. The communal areas were very basic. The room had no cupboard for hanging clothes - there was a small rack behind the window curtain for hanging clothes. The shower cubicle was dirty. I would have preferred a hotel in the new town centre and to walk up to just visit the old town - there wasn't much to do there.

What an amazing room, huge, stylish and with great views of the alps. The wonderful hotel staff were very helpful, and the free tourist pass they provided saved us hundreds of euros. (50% off local travel and attractions such as the golden pass line).I have traveled the world and stayed in countless hotels and this would be in the top 5, I firmly believe this should be at least a 4 1/2 star hotel.

Great hotel with terrific staff. My only slight complaint about my room is that I would have liked brighter lighting. Otherwise it was very comfortable.Theres a 206 bus stop just opposite the front door. Take this bus from the railway station as its a steep hike up the hill otherwise. By the way this bus just runs in a circle so there are no stops on the other side of the road if youre looking for them. If you dont have luggage it only takes about 10-15 minutes to walk up.Dont miss Vevey, Chillon or Lausanne. All great places to visit.

Stylish room design and comfortable bed. However, it would be better if they have kettle, complimentary drinks or coffee / tea packets in the room instead of guests having to ask for them.

Excellent situation in the old town, Tralala was a great base for our time in Montreux. Clean, comfortable and with really friendly staff. One cannot ask for more.

Hotel is nice and good value. A little uphill, which, however gives you a great view and you are located right in the old town of Montreux. Staff is very nice and helpful.

This hotel is well situated close to the old town and also an easy stroll down. To the lake. Be advised however that the walk up is very steep and it would be challenging to walk from the train station although it is not very far. Hotels staff was ok, nothing beyond that. Breakfast is not included and costs an additional $17 CHF. The rooms are fairly small and there was also no Air Conditioning or any sort of minibar/ fridge in the room. The bathroom is tiny, shower only with no tub.
Fan is available in the room and the hotel and rooms are quite clean.

Not a good place for people traveling by car; public parking limited and hôtel has only few parking spaces which were all taken when we arrived.
