Excellent in all ways.. super hosts - friendly but not too much - lovely room and breakfast was perfect - good choices. Lovely touch of tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits waiting for me. Highly recommend

This is a hotel/b&b of high quality. Top recently refurbished condition, spotlessly clean, very friendly owner, excellent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without any doubts whatsoever. 10 out of 10. Thank you for the stay

Had a lovely stay here recently for one night. From the start Jo was friendly and welcoming. As a single female I felt safe and slept soundly. The room and bathroom were clean and looked fab, as did the whole house. Brekkie next morning was perfect and came quickly, just what I needed..! Can recommend and would love to stay again if passing through sometime :)

Deanfield House is an immaculate small upmarket bed and breakfast. This was our second stay here and this time we had a large room with a balcony which caught the afternoon and early evening sun. The room was as good as any you would find in a 4-star hotel, and better than many. Everything is spotlessly clean, a real credit to the proprietor. Breakfast is freshly cooked for the time you request and based on your order which you leave the previous evening. Highly recommended

New owners Jo and partner have kept up the quality in this wonderful B&B. Couldn’t fault a thing from friendliness to the amazingly comfortable mattress (room 4) to a very filling breakfast. Wish you well in your new venture. Won’t hesitate to come back.

This is a small but very well maintained upmarket guest house providing bed and breakfast service. The owners told us they had only just taken over the house and we could see they were already making some improvements even though the place has been beautifully kept by the previous owners. Our room was very spacious with a view across the village green/cricket pitch. The en suite was also roomy and spotlessly clean. We were able to take breakfast in the dining room downstairs and this was cooked to order. Breakfast was very good quality.

Deanfield did not disappoint. It was excellent. The breakfast was very good and set us up nicely for the day ahead. We found the hosts, Chris and Nigel very accommodating. The parking was very good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deanfield and the chance to visit the Forest of Dean. We arrived during the morning but our room was quickly prepared and we had a cup of tea and biscuits in the lounge while we waited. Our room was fairly small but fine for our two night stay. Chris was able to advise on walks we could do and had maps and guides available too. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day very well. If we were visiting the area again we would definitely stay at Deanfield.

Lovely rooms, fully equipped with all you would want, from real coffee, teas and bottled water to excellent toiletries (and a great little shower room). The mattress was perfect (room 4) - always a bonus....and another great bonus - we were not disturbed by other guests at night - solid walls! The décor was excellent - in keeping with the age of the house. Parking was easy. Finally, the breakfast was plentiful and perfect, couldn't fault it. We will be booking again next year.
