Staff very friendly and accommodating; always eager to please. Room kept clean everyday. Clean and updated hotel and rooms. Comfortable beds. View onto a small street.
Close to a discount grocery. In the heart of the old city.
AC not very powerful. No free overnight parking.

I really liked my room - it had a sofa for me to munch away on snacks as I watched the TV. Could have done with a mini fridge, but it did have a small safe and extra pillows. It was also clean and had enough soap and towels.
Nîmes is small so the hotel is close to the tourist bit and across the road from a carrefour. It is getting a weee bit away from the station.
But there were a few downsides. The man on reception didn’t speak English, which is fine (I’m not one of THOSE people) but he claimed to not understand my French. My French is not that bad when I’m talking phrase book and standard questions: I got a questioning look when I asked for plain coffee, which I had to elaborate as with no milk or sugar, for breakfast and again when I asked for a glass of tap water. Trying to establish whether I’d settled my bill in full when I checked out was a bit of an ordeal. I had no idea what was going on.
The other downside for me was, I’m afraid, the other guests. It’s a very small hotel and people have to take the stairs as there’s no lift (another point to bear in mind if you have any luggage that’s remotely heavy, because you’ll need your own muscle power). For some reason, all the other guests seemed to bellow as they climbed the one or two flights. No idea why.
Be quiet people.
To be fair, the hotel is also at fault about this, as they need a few little posters here and there asking everyone to be more considerate and make less noise.
Nearly excellent.

Great location beside the Iglese de Sainte Baudie. Parking was about a 3 minute walk away underground. The only problem was the reception person did not speak English and I did not speak French, but maybe that was to be expected :-). Easy 8 minute walk to the Arena and the Maison Carree Temple. No other issues. Clean room and nice amenities

Location is difficult to locate.

Stylishly decorated with a nice mix of the old stone building and new modern details. AC was remotely managed, so the room was very hot (it was set to 20C, but it was way more hot than that).
We chose the hotel because of the location and the rooftop terrace. The location was indeed great, right next to the old parts of the town, but I was really disappointed when I discovered that there were no publicly available rooftop terrace, even though it was listed as a hotel feature.

I loved this hotel. Normally the front desk closes at 11pm but with advance warning they will stay open if you need to arrive later; with baggage it’s a taxi ride from the station but once there the lady on reception couldnt have been more helpful and considerate.

Beautiful room. Fantastic staff. It has five or six floors, but no elevator, so you have to carry all your luggage up the stairs. An electric jug in the room would have been nice. Reasonably close for walking to central station. Whole area is oozing with interesting history. Excellent value for money.

good for few days and the staff was friendly and helpful, clean and comfortable with good central location. Not easy to find parking spots in the area, but this is not specific to the hotel

The hotel is quite near to the center and the facilities were quite good.

Very good hotel. The only thing is that it doesn’t have a lift. No problem for us but could be for some. Excellent working air conditioning

There is no elevator and I was not aware of that in advance; had I known, it might have changed my mind about staying there.
Other than that, it was just fine.

This is a fantastic hotel. Lose to the arena and great food and cafes. The bed and pillows were wonderful.

Well located and quiet. Comfy room however mine smelled like it had been used by a smoker.

A nice central located hotel in walking distance to all amenities.
For a 3 star hotel I was expecting luxury but was pleasantly surprised how nice it was and had everything we needed for our short stay.
Decor was modern and very nice, not shabby at all.
Despite what you read on trip advisor about the staff the are accommodating but not over talkative like you find at other hotels.
Bed was comfy and had a good sleep. Room was can and have no cpmplaints.

We stayed for 6 days in the hotel and traveled some days to other places, very central location close to everything in nimes, the room was as big as it needs to be, bed was really comfy and the air con was amazing because it was so hot outside :) bathroom was lovely too!

Very peaceful area

Having read a negative review shortly after booking was a bit worried. My fears were unjustified.Lovely hotel within walking distance of the Arena and restaurants. As other reviews have said rooms are small but in excellent condition.Comfortable and very quiet. Can park outside to unload and secure discount parking is less than five minutes walk away.Recommend hotel and restaurant(Magnolia?) in square just down from hotel.

Don't be fooled by the name, it's actually a tiny hotel located in a small alley. We arrived around 8pm, and found no where to park the car. The hotel has no elevator, so we have to walk narrow rotating stairs, like the ones in Notre Dame, to the 4th floor.
The most troubling is their greedy for money, especially from american tourists. They demanded a 30% surcharge for my 5-years old which I forget to disclose during my reservation. Even funnier is that after I readily accepted their demand, the front office lady wanted us to pay the sum before we check out - as if we were escaping their hotel without paying.
Terrible place to stay. Not just this hotel. I should advise people to stay away from Nimes as a whole before that city is way crowded during high seasons.

Location is good, close to all attractions.
Room is small but functional.
Overall, good place to stay if tight budget and no high expectation.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. The location is very good, right in the center of the historic area. Every landmark is so close by and within walking distance. The receptionist is very helpful in helping us to locate an excellent restaurant which is still open late at night (as we checked in very late)

Wanted to stay in a unique hotel. This building is relic with exposed original stones seen inside and out. Large windows and shutters open out onto the streets. The hotel has been renovated throughout using a very modern decor. We stayed in the suite which offered additional sofa (pull out bed) and sitting area for just a few dollars more. Because double beds are very common in Europe (we have a king size at home), my husband slept on the sofa bed and said it was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night. Try to get on the lower floors or you will be carrying your lugguge up 3-4 flights of stairs because there is no elevator. They offer a nice breakfast buffet for additional 8 Euros. Staff was friendly but not fluent in English. Would stay there again.

the wireless did not work with Apple products (iPad, iPhone) - this caused me to spend over $30 in cellular data charges to deal with essential business.
no elevator which could be a concern to people with mobility issues.
Re: recommending to a friend - only if the wireless issues were fixed and they new about the lack of an elevator
