Great hotel. Great restaurant. Near shopping and train/bus line and tourist info center

Loved our stay here at the Hirsch, its right in town, which is walkable to lots of different shops and fun things to do nearby. The breakfast was great, aswell as the dinner. Both were very tasty and the service was just awesome. We had a birthday and the staff was so friendly and remembered the next day. Would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful place, authentic and quaint. The staff was top notch! And an amazing breakfast.

It was walking distance to the train and bus and best of all it was around the corner from the historical area so I walked it and didn't miss anything. Close to the river and also to the Tourist Information building. The hostess was dressed in her authentic German outfit and was so pleasant. No language barriers here. Top notch!

Hotel Hirsch was amazing! The interior is beautifully decorated. Our check in was very quick. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast offered a wide variety of food that would satisfy most people. Our room was clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a separate shower. If you need to wash clothes, there is a washer and dryer in the basement. 4 Euros for wash and 4 Euros for dryer. Our dinner meals in the restaurant were delicious! The menu had a variety of items to choose from. We took a train into Fussen, and the hotel was only about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The main walking street in Fussen is right across the street, with many shops and restaurants. We rented a car while in town and there is free parking available at the hotel. Neuschwanstein Castle is about 10 minutes away by car. I would definitely recommend Hotel Hirsch if you are looking to stay in Fussen.

Most aspects an excellent hotel. Lovely staff who called us to confirm our check in. Nice staff and very comfortable room (except for temp). Restaurant very good for dinner and included breakfast was enjoyable. Unfortunately the room does not have a/c so was a little hot and with no fan our air circulation felt a little “stuffy”. There was a window but with loud street noise was not an option to leave open during the night. Other than that an excellent hotel.

Property was really cute, perfect location and the roof top terrace was the perfect place to end the night.

Enjoyed the unique rooms & lovely furnishings. A special place to stay

Wow. Loved Hotel Hirsch - would definitely stay again. Only drawback is no AC, but fan was provided. Staff at reception were exceptional. Room was modern, well decorated and comfortable. Roof terrace was nice for sunning or relaxing outside. Amazing breakfast and breakfast staff. Love it!

Very nice hotel in a good location. Hotel lacks air condition in the room, but this was not as much of an issue with the cooler night. Highly recommend.

Clean, bright room in historic building. Reception staff first class, some of the best we have met. Very welcoming and helpful.
The room has been completely modernized so is clean and very comfortable. It is a shame that rooms can't maintain a level of the history of a hotel while still providing excellent accomodation.
The location is prrfect near the older part of town . We arrived on a very hot day and the room was hard to cool down. With the window open it helped considerably but the road noise became a problem. Parking was easy to access and free.
Breakfast was just ok.

The location is good, and enough parking spaces onsite. The room is spacious and well furnished. However, our room is on the 1st floor and there are two ceiling to floor windows on both sides of the wall, facing the streets. When I stood by the windows, I felt derictly facing the people on the streets. There are no sheers on the windows, only heavy sunproof curtains. I had to keep the curtains closed all the time even during the day, in order to avoid people on the streets look into the windows. It was very uncomfortable. Another serious issue is the air conditioning did not work properly. The hotel staff reset the power in our room twice. The air conditioning worked about 20 minutes after the reset, then stopped working. The hotel staff left after 10 pm. We did not have air conditioning for the night , had to open windows several time during night to cold down the room. The breakfast food was so so and the service was slow. We sat at a 4 seats table that 2 people had eaten there. The tale was not cleaned untile we finished eating. The waiter cleaned everything in one time.

On a busy road and is noisy.
Ask for a room on the north side of the building

Great property and location!

I wanted to book a charming hotel that reflected German hospitality. The old wing seemed to be just that. I requested air conditioning so my room was in the new wing. It looked like a motel room, and the air conditioning seemed non-existent. The bottom sheets on the bed were terrible! Breakfast was included in the price I paid, but there was obviously a better option in a more traditional space. I don’t know if that was for guests paying for breakfast as an extra charge. Overall disappointing.

This property is adorable and staff were the friendliest of our trip throughout Germany. The beer garden is beautiful and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. The only downside was lack of air conditioning in August and leaving the windows open meant traffic noises and church bells ever 15 minutes. It’s a historic building so that was to be expected but may be important for some travelers.

This hotel is worth every penny! Clean, updated, and safe. I had an amazing stay and would recommend to everyone. 5 minutes from train station, 5 minute walk to down town & 10 minute bus ride to the castle.

The rooms climate control was lacking. It was 30.5°C outside and 26.5°C in the room.

It says the room is air conditioned and the supposed “conditioning” doesn’t work. It was a hot day and that is why I chose this hotel.

Amazing stay! Perfect walking distance to everything in Fussen. Less than 10 minute drive to the castle and museum of Bavarian Kings. Breakfast was really good. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, amazing customer service. Very clean. Lovely views and fabulous rooftop patio!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was a special treat. We were early for check in but they got us us registered & stored our luggage. We toured the old town for about an hour & our room was ready upon our return.

We booked the quad room, which included two twin beds and was great for our family of 4. Very comfortable room, we appreciated that it had a sofa to lounge on as well. Breakfast room and spread was nice as well.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located for walking. Great breakfast. Rooms with nice windows like French doors opening to create a balcony like experience. We even enjoyed a wonderful lightning storm with pouring down rain with the windows open and chairs up to the railing! It was a nice treat!

This is very well appointed hotel, nicely decorated, and conveniently located within a few blocks of the train station. It is impressive to see the beautifully decorated hallways on each floor and in the rooms. The breakfast is decent and dinning options are plenty within a short walk of the hotel.
Since this is an older building, the hotel has plumbing problems, especially with the showers plumbing, and with road noise in the rooms that face the main street. My room did not have air conditioning and I had to open the window at night for ventilation and cold air.
The shower head barely had any water pressure, and the temperature changed from warm, to scalding hot, to cold. There was no way of getting normal water pressure or the temperature to stay constant in the shower. I informed the front desk of the problem but nothing was done. While there I heard other guests comment about the same problem in their rooms.
The room I stayed in faced the main street and the window glass is thin, letting in all of the road noise. I could hear every car or truck passing by at night. This was made worse because the room had no air conditioning, and when it got too hot or stuffy in the room, the only option was to open the windows.
Nice hotel aesthetically but lacking in modern comforts such as multi-pane windows to reduce noise, air conditioning, and modern shower plumbing. For the price and reputation, this hotel should offer those modern conveniences.

Only 5 min walk from the railway station, next to REWE, shopping center, and the old town. The hotel is traditionally decorated and cozy.

Lovely property in a lovely location. Our room was in the older building, which could use a little updating. Our kids stayed in the newer building and it was excelled.
We had dinner in the patio and it was excellent. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was good. Would totally stay again in this property. Just a cute little towns and cozy place!

Loved Hotel Hirsch. We stayed in the main building which doesn't have air conditioning. We were able to open the windows and had a nice breeze to cool off the room. Our room was located at the front of the hotel and there was traffic noise until late, but we were able to adapt by the second night.
The breakfast buffet was superb. The restaurant is exceptional. The beer garden and rooftop terrace are cozy.

We enjoyed our family stay while visiting the area! The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful! Thank you!

Old historical place to stay. Quaint with antiques throughout. Dining options. Parking a bit crazy and tight spaces. Overall good experience.

2nd time staying here, very convenient to all in the area. Breakfast is wonderful. If there is one thing I would comment on it’s that the shower/tub combo is not elderly friendly, it quite scary climbing in and out of it.
