This place has a great location. It is very close to the ferry. Beautiful landscaping, beautiful pool. It is quiet relaxing, like an oasis from the street. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice location quiet and very close to port and town. - excellent and fresh breakfast - WiFi only available at reception not in the room! - rooms were spacious - when we arrived the receptionist only spoke Italian No English, French, German or Spanish. Difficult to communicate. - we asked to replace one bed. It was an old bedframe and made a lot of noise. - there was a blood stain on the bed cover. We asked to replace it. Staff said it was no blood. Conclusion: very nice place but some things need attention.

I had a medical problem whilst there, the staff helped get me to the local hospital to get it sorted out. They were so helpful!The accommodation is spacious and clean, and the grounds well maintained. Although there is no restaurant on site there is a short path through to the seafront where there are all the facilities you need including a supermarket with excellent local produce.It is literally a 5 minute walk to the ferry so access is very good. The town and the boats for the islands are about 10 minutes walk. Everything is on the doorstep which you need when the temperatures are in the 30s..

Residence La Giara was a perfect location for our stay in Lipari. Our apartment was spotless and the garden was beautiful. The pool, though small was fine.
