We loved our stay at this beautiful, boutique hotel! Our room had beautiful views, and was well equipped with all the luxuries including a small bottle of delicious sherry. The hosts and staff were wonderful and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and there was also afternoon tea and happy hour in the main lounge. Why stay at boring hotels when you can stay at these unique special places. We will be back ! Thank you Ross and Bianca and the entire staff !

The stay was exceptional in the sense that the hosts really care about your day. Everything was so clean and the breakfast was simply world class. We also loved the view of knysna everyday. Seriously the best view in town. We had our honeymoon there and we were treated with absolute TLC all the way.

worst experience ever. our car was covered in flies. the rooms were dirty and dusty. space was quite cramped.

Lovely hotel with fantastic personalised service. Would suggest more hot meal options for breakfast. Also no lift in the hotel which could be an issue for some. However the staff was very helpful with the luggage. Would suggest an intercom or phone in the room to contact the reception.

Excellent place to stay. We stayed in the Phantom Suite. The whole place runs like clockwork, is stylishly furnished and decorated with great attention to detail, lovely breakfasts, good WiFi and first class service. Highly recommended.

Excellent up-market guest suites with amazing views over Knysna. Modern design throughout with a very comfortable outdoor seating / pool area. Great service and really enjoyed the amazing breakfast served outside by the pool. Gave us lots of tips for local restaurants (they arrange the booking and taxi transportation), as well as route ideas to our next stop. Only stayed one night, but would have liked to have stayed longer (fell in love with Knysna and all it‘s life). Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful place to stay, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the entire place was spotless. Rooms were great, as was the breakfast which the staff set up in your room every morning - a real treat.
My only small criticism was that the service was a little intense at points - often two or three people hovering next to you in any communal area was a little awkward and overwhelming.

Absolutely stunning..everything was 5*standard..food, service ,cleanliness,sweet treats/flowers left every night when you returned to your room..WiFi was excellent...complimentary tea ,coffee ,water, there was also a bottle of wine on our arrival. Great selection of breakfast items cooked to order...couldn,t ask for anything more..cars are secure behind locked gates..

We stayed at the Villa Africana on May 5th, 2018 and everything was perfect!! The hotel staff was incredibly helpful, the room had gorgeous views and the breakfast was cooked just to our order. Could not recommend this hotel more!

It was an unbelievable stay! Very friendly owner and extremely pleasant team. They all treated us like the royal family and made every wish come true. The room was very clean! probably you can even eat from the floor. The interior design is beautiful and the view is stunning. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. Fantastic breakfast, room service and original Italian espresso and cappuccino made by the owner!

Amazing hotel, the hotel staff where great. The treating with tea and strawberries was amazing.
The owners where very friendly and helpful, giving tips on where to go for lunch and what to see not only in knysna itself but plettenberg bay and tsitsikamma as well. If I'm ever back in knysna, I will definitely stay here again

One night wasnt enough in truth. There was nothing about staying here I could fault, which isnt very helpful... Greeting was fabulous, (all) staff treated it as if this were their own hotel, and the owners sought us out to verify we were happy. Really, I cant recommend this place highly enough, if what youre after is 1 or 2 nights in Knysna.

The best private hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was excellent. We had the Owners Suite, which was beautiful, with a large veranda overlooking Knysna and The Heads in the distance. Ross and Bianca are fantastic, professional, friendly and helpful. All the staff have a fantastic customer service attitude that is genuine. We will definitely return.
