Very beautiful and nice property with stunning views. One of the best experiences in my life! Breakfast is amazing.

The photos and visitors feedbacks wasn’t as the Vila looked compared to the castle. The villa we got is very old compared to the amazing reviews and photos of the Castle. The service we got is very nice although we decided to leave the place. We are looking forward to get any answers from costumer services in order to get fully refund back! It’s important mention the real feedback on the villas and not on the castle.

Lovely accommodation, authentic and quiet, lovely surroundings, friendly staff.
Would have appreciated robes in the room.

This was truly a unique experience. Castilla di Meleto sits in the beautiful Tuscan scenery with its winery surrounding it. You'll notice this is not like any other accommodation, they really try to keep the castle the way it was. They are not trying to convert every room into a bedroom to increase profit. The dining room of the castle would be the dining room from some centuries ago with original furniture. If you stay in the castle I definitely recommend taking the castle tour. Though as a guest you're freely to go into most rooms of the castle but if you take the tour you'll be given a peek to other rooms not generally open, like the theatre and dungeon of the castle as well. My only complaint is we came on a very rainy day and there isn't much to do when it rains. I think the hotel can make some accommodation for that in the future. Maybe even properly covered area outdoor would be good.

Onsite food choices limited, unless you have a car, i wouldn't stay here. Staff very friendly but not highly knowledgeable about the winery, process and history of castle. Taking the wine tour is a waste of time you will learn nothing. Save money just walk the property and taste their wine, BUT, the staff is very nice

Great views and very special staying at a Castle but at night it did feel lonely since no staff in the premises and no places to eat close. But great experience.

Very, very cool 12th century castle located in a beautiful part of Tuscany. Communication with the staff before our arrival was a bit off-putting but nothing terrible and the people onsite were great. However, as we were visiting during the low season, we were the only ones staying at the castle (or on the property in general) overnight - reception closes at 9:00pm so it was just my friend and I alone in a 12th century castle in a remote location - a bit scary and we didn't realize this would be the case when booking. But would be lovely in the summer!

This is an older castle. We stayed in an apartment near the castle. It was warm. It wasn’t very clean. The towels were dirty and many insects, but to be expected in the country. It was very neat to see the castle and eat breakfast in it.

Most memorable experience staying at a medieval castle. Stay included a tour of the castle and it’s history which concludes with wine tasting at the wine cellar bar. Breakfast was also delicious in a nice breakfast room that felt we were back in the 15th century. Nice stay in a peaceful and calming environment!

Lets be clear, this is a castle. If you want the four seasons stay there. if you want to stay at a very cool castle where you can wander around, cool rooms, walkways, gardens, dungeon and have wine tasting to top it off then this is the place to be. the views from every window was amazing. the staff was helpful, the grounds were well kept and the rooms very large. the breakfast was amazing. They do not serve dinner at the castle, but we got to know the owner of a local restaurant down the road and had a blast. It was a 5 min drive. I will say this experience for a family of 7 was amazing and we would do it again!

The staff were amazing. Especially Salvatore, the manager of the restaurant. He heard it was our honeymoon and treated us to a secluded spot for our dinner. The wine cellar. Lighted candles, rose petals strewn all around, he even played romantic love songs thru the evening. He personally made us desert right there at the table fame style. Beautiful, romantic, and my favorite night in Italy.

Very unique and special experience to stay in a castle. Sweet receptionist service. However, the reception service closes at night and it feels a bit creepy at night.

This place is absolutely beautiful. We booked this place expected it to be a normal hotel, but it turned out that we had our own private villa with breathtaking views of the hotel's own vineyard and castle. Oh, Meleto has this very nice looking 11th century castle on site. We had a wonderful breakfast and wine tasting session in the old castle. If you want a good getaway place that's far from busy city streets, this is it! We highly recommend it. The only thing to be aware of is that you have to drive through a lot of curvy roads, if you have passengers in the back of your car, they might get motion sick.

do you want to get away? i mean.... really away? well if you have gps and the will to step off the gringo trail, this is your place. in a word - magical! the apartments are enormous and perfect for a family get away. you wont need to drive far to enjoy the surroundings. the castle offers tours and tastings of their award winning wines. there's a wonderful restaurant down the road run by a mom & pop with daughter as the servers.
the castle is very close to darling villages in the chainti region that are both everything you imagined about an italian town and the crowd size is not a concern.

We stayed for one night here in one of the apartments. It was a large apartment with one bedroom and kitchen and had lots of charm and was very clean. There was a patio to sit out which had a beautiful view. Very reasonably priced.

Who doesn't dream about staying in a castle?! This place was great - two pools, beautiful grounds, and wine tasting! We joined in on the free 30-minute castle tour, did free wine tasting, and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery!

We stayed at Castello Meleto for 3 nights and during that period there was setting up and removal for 2 seperate weddings. Although it is a lovely wedding venue it does leave other guests (non wedding party) feeling out of place as 3/4 of the property cannot be accessed during setup for the weddings and the event. Furthermore we booked our room (an apartment) expecting it to be located in the castello (for the experience) and upon arrival were surprised to find it was actually in an outbuilding. Also to be noted these are self service apartments rather than a hotel-no toiletries other than soap are provided and house keeping comes at an additional cost. The webpage indicates rooms have wifi which is not correct as the only wifi access is in the hotel lobby. Overall a good location and not a bad hotel but we expected a little more.

Beautiful, unique, special, relaxing. I would absolutely stay there again...it was a highlight of our trip.

It was a fun and relaxing time. Wine tasting was amazing.

Our stay in Castillo di Meleto was fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were looked after well. The castle itself is tremendous and the church house where we stayed was lovely and typically Italian rustic style with feature timber ceilings, terracotta tiled floors, living area with a handy kitchen cupboard unit which contained a gas stove, sink, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pans, extract fan, chopping board etc all of which was setup in a cupboard unit the size of a wardrobe.. Worked very well.
The view from our bedroom looked out over the castle grounds, gardens and the Tuscan landscape beyond.
Would most definitely return and certainly would recommend this.
By the by, the castle has its own vineyard and olive grove. The wines and olive oil on offer is some of the best we've tasted.
