Disappointing hotel experience. The hotel is run-down, old, and its glory days are long gone. The room was not clean, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows had what appeared to be bloodstains or some other dark spots, though the pillowcases were relatively clean. There seemed to be mold on the mattress as well. The staff appeared unprofessional, more like vendors from the local bazaar than hotel employees, and didn’t seem suited for the hospitality industry. We never felt completely safe during our stay, although in the end, there was no real danger. The worst part of our experience was that the staff didn’t seem to care about the hotel itself; their focus was on the “restaurant” or “Meyhane” (as it’s called in Turkish). From 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, they played loud, blaring music, turning the hotel into a disco rather than a peaceful place to stay. The music was so loud and the partying so intense that sleeping was impossible, and it all took place right outside our balcony. After the first night, I requested a different room. They moved me without any issue, but since the hotel is so small, the change only made a slight difference. The hotel is located past the old castle on top of a hill, making it difficult to walk up and down. There is a small bus (dolmuş) number 5, which costs only 20 lira per person, but the hotel is far from the city center with only a small kiosk nearby. The one positive aspect of this hotel is the great view from the rooms.

The hotel is a quick walk to the main area for shopping and restaurants. There was used food trays in the hallways for days - no one was cleaning the common areas. The room was ok and it was spacious. The staff was the best thing about the hotel.

This hotel is past its prime. Price is great. But a/c didn't work, and with rooms facing the sea and the setting sun, not a good situation. I arrive at 3:00. When I complained at 4:30, receptionist came up to verify that indeed it didn't work. Said he'd said a tech up. Tech arrived at 6:00; didn't fix it. At that point, finally they offered a change of room. But by that hour, the sun is going down and it's not quite so bad. It was still 84 degrees inside the room in the morning, so I probably should have changed rooms. . Elevators don't take you up to the room floors; you still have maybe 10 steps to walk up or down. For some people, that's a problem. Reception did carry the bag for me. . If you can put up with the inconveniences, and if you like sitting by the pool in hot weather, the price is ideal.

We had 3 nights to spare on a tight budget so made a booking here. Friendly staff and relatively clean. Nice breakfast included. Strangely the dinner menu was only half available and fairly pricey. Lots of smoking around the pool and cig butts, which wasn't pleasant. If you like to party there is loud music at night.

I arrived Friday night and I discovered that in the hotel restaurant, along the pool side, it was a disco party. Impossible to sleep before 1 am. Not a suggested hotel if you are not looking for a party.

The hotel is in a great location, close to main attractions. Has beautiful pool and restaurants on site. We had a room with a sea view. Rooms are clean and specious. Breakfast was pretty limited, could have more options/variety.

This property was in a great location. Just minutes to the downtown area, but far enough away to escape the crowds and noise. The views of the Sea from the balcony, were stunning. Grounds of the property were nice. Breakfast was excellent. On site parking was a plus. The staff were very mindful about adhering to COVID rules. This was very much appreciated. The property is in the middle of renovations, so some of these items may be taken care of in the future: If you like firm mattresses, this is a good place for you. The rooms could use some updating and repairs. One last suggestion- While the breakfast is excellent, I would skip eating dinner here.

I had a great experience in Carina hotel. Breakfast was tasty, pool was clean, service was good, friendly staff and spacious rooms. There is also a bar which adds on top! I will definitely come back! :)

We are just home after a week staying at Carina. Since the last time we were there 8 years ago the hotel has gone downhill and is looking very tired and rundown. We were soo excited to head back here as we had the loveliest time last time but unfortunately was disappointed. We still had a lovely week in the sun but would look at staying elsewhere the next time. Poor selection of breakfast, the last time we got freshly squeezed orange juice, this time was watered down concentrate...this is what we found with alot of things regarding our last stay. Not a big issue but the cleaners carelessly did bin a bag we had in our roon, it would have been annoying if it had valuable items in it. We had emailed the hotel before going to enquire about transfers and never got a reply, which i feel is bad customer service. Reasonable prices and tasty cocktails though.

Nothing like the photo on expedia, only thing good was the balcony and the view.Only 2 tiny bottles of water given in the room with no option of even buying extra outside of 9am-6pm window. Checked in post midnight due to our flight being delayed and were told we could order for water next morning. When we did call for it at 8am we were told theyll only give water after 9am. The beds were small with poor quality of blankets.No iron/ironing board. Not even a kettle. Vintage split a/c in the room and a shaky fan.Housekeeping refused to change towels on the first day. Only did it after we insisted that we intentionally left the towels on the floor after use as we needed replacement, hence we cant reuse them for tomorrow.Breakfast was average at best. Very limited spread of the buffet.Pros: Friendly staff, great location.

My 3rd time at this Hotel .I previously LOVED it but this time i was really upset as the poolbar has now become a disco bar from 12 midnight until 3 am on 4 nights ..Its invaded by young people from across Kushadasi.and despite many requests to stop the extremely loud music ,no dice .I insisted on changing to the Hotel next door La Vista..beautiful Hotel peaceful and a good nights sleep ,.If you intend to sleep before 3am do not book in to the Carina .Such a pity it WAS a Lovely hotel and the Staff are fabulous ,however the sister Hotel La vista is FABULOUS

Hotel staff is too slow with service. No room facilities such as coffee/tea machine, iron, freshments etc. Wifi connection is too slow, it hardly works. Hotel needs re-painting, re-decorating. The water in the shower smelled really bad.

We stopped over for a couple of nights for close access to Ephesus. The hotel location was fine. It was within walking distance from downtown and had access to a nice beach area just down the hill. The breakfast was more than expected and often the largest meal of the day. The hotel staff was very helpful in arranging transportation when needed.

On our stay last week we were a bit disappointed with the noise that comes off the main road outside the hotel. Then we have to move rooms due to an ant problem. Apart from this hotel was clean, pool very well maintained. They could work on the breakfast buffet same every day. Beds need to be a bit softer very hard. Bar staff were excellent. Could incorporate some traditional Turkish culture into the entertainment in the evening. But makes for a very relaxing holiday.

Location is good but you need to walk 20 minutes to the center. Rooms have nice sea views and very clean. Nice pool too. Breakfast is good. Staff does not speak much English so if you need help, that could be a problem. However, is cheap and secure so good option if you are under budget.
