Nice to be able to park right in front of your room. Blythe is in the middle of nowhere so it made a quiet place to overnight on our road trip to Phoenix
4.0
The only reason the place doesn't get 5 stars is because the A/C unit in the room was really noisy. When the compressor turned off it made a huge clunking noise that woke me up a couple of times. If they can fix that, the stay would be perfect.

The rooms are beautiful and we’re clean. I was able to check in earlier than expected. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating, the only thing that was a concern was there wasn’t many options to dine near the hotel.

Fine place - returned from week ago

While it did not compromise our opinions it is apparent they are trying to upgrade their facility into a nicer place. Will go back again

Room was wonderful and single story. Amenities were not there - no breakfast or pool. Hotel next door was blasting music and area didn’t feel safe. Multiple vehicles on blocks in parking lot.

The room was very outdated and smelled damp. There were blood stains on the mattress pad so did sleep under the sheets.
The pool was not filled.

The Wi-Fi is unsecured so my iPhone wouldn’t let me connect
Blythe has bad cell service so it was a bummer
The rest was good

Extremely well lit parking lot. Single story building. No noise from above. No noisy elevator Laminate flooring seems much healthier than carpet

Friendly check in. Clean and comfortable. Newly renovated. Would stay there again.

First time staying here a few weeks ago was great. This time, however, was a bit disappointing. The room itself was fine. I could not get the TV to work at all (not a big deal as I was pretty much going to just sleep anyway), but the big negative was the numerous facial shavings around the sink and in the amenities tray. Just not a good job of cleaning.
Room was quiet, bed was comfortable, and check in was as easy as it can possibly be. I’m going to write this visit off as a bad day and let it go. I’d still stay here again when passing through.

I stopped only to spend the night on my way to L.A. without spending a bunch. I was very pleased. One previous review indicated that she didn’t feel safe off the property, and I get that. Lots of old and vacant buildings.
However, this motel is worthy of a try. It was quiet, clean, and though older, still had what I needed. The check in was easy and the clerk very friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Unfortunately the room I had was very dated. Cigarette burns on the counter in bathroom. Drywall repairs that hadn’t been finished. Missing tile in the floor. Not a good area to walk the dog. No designated pet relief area. The pool and spa were drained. No mention of this in the reservation. For the price of the room this was very disappointing.
The bed was nice and comfortable w a new mattress. The fridge was quiet. (But not turned on when I arrived so took a long time to cool). I would find a different place to stay next time thru town.

Pretty nice place. I was traveling with all my belongings in my car so I really loved being able to park right in front of my door. Check in was very easy and the free cold water bottle and snack pack were a very nice touch after so many days on the road. The bedding was nice and the heat worked well so no complaints. There was a dead earwig in the bathroom when I arrived but at least it was dead.

We had a very peaceful and pleasant stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and great service. Will stay again here. Highly recommend.

The business process of checking in and checking out was so customer focus. It took less than 5 minutes. The office staff on site were great and were able to assist me when requested.
The best part of it all was the parking. I didn't have to walk a long way to the service desk, walk down a hallway to get in some elevator, and walk down a hallway to get to my room if I was at a hotel. The parking was just right outside my door.
I am definitely coming back in the summer to use your pool and hot top. I cannot say enough about the service. I would like to see handheld show heads in the future, but overall, I am happy with the experience.

Love this old school roadside Motel. They’ve done a nice job of keeping the charm while updating the rooms and keeping things clean. A bit of wear and tear, but great for the value.

Pictures were/are misleading. Room was in pretty bad condition, and we also felt unsafe. We actually did not spend the night - booked and stayed at another hotel.

Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was like new, very clean. Comfortable bed and big TV. Proprietor was friendly and gave us a goody bag of snacks and a couple drinks.

There was an easy check in. Our room was quite comfortable. The beds were great. This hotel is rather on the end of town, so not much of a view. It was close to the highway. Blythe is not a large town, so everything you need is within minutes.
The ad said breakfast for two was part of the reservation, but this was not the case.

I really love there service

the guy who checked us in at this hotel told me the hotel reguarly has no internet, and he blamed it on the local infrastructure. he said all the hotels on the east side of town along the highway have the same issue.
i tried to tell him about all the advances in wireless technology and that is really no longer a valid "excuse".
the place seemed a bit scuzzy too, lots of construction workers, smoking right outside our window, etc.

The pictures are deceptive.

Everything was top notch. Facility super clean, and staff knowledgeable and friendly.
Only thing- there are no table and chairs to use in the room or outside. Inconvenient for take out meals

I had an "Accessible" Room that was quite nice, totally satisfied my needs. I was only there for 1 night.

Magnuson Hotel in Blythe is a well-maintained, clean, historic motel where I'm glad I stayed! It's old-school (a one-story, U-shaped property with parking in front of the rooms) but quite nice. I was impressed at check-in. The friendly desk staff gave me a cold water bottle, a bottle of juice, and a gallon ziploc full of prepackaged snacks (a bag of chips, a granola bar, a cookie, etc.). That was a pleasant surprise, and so was the fact that my room had a large Roku TV. (I didn't log into and watch any of the streaming services I subscribe to, but it was good to know that the option was available.) I also appreciated that the room had a mini-fridge, a microwave, and multiple easily-accessible power outlets. The AC worked well, too - very important in the desert heat. The motel is just off an interstate exit on the east end of Blythe. One of the town's few sit-down restaurants, Steaks n Cakes, is about a block away; I had a good breakfast there. My one issue at the motel was that the bathroom's window didn't have a screen, which allows insects to fly in. When I first went into the hotel room, there were several live flies in the bathroom. Not a big problem, but a bit annoying. I'd definitely stay at Magnuson again.

We checked in late. It was the fastest and friendliest check in so far on our month long trip. The night was quiet! We were able to park right in front of our room. The parking was free. There was a fridge and a microwave, which most of the high dollar hotels don’t even provide. This was the best fridge we have had also. Highly recommended! I would gladly stay here again.

Bugs were crawling around the entirety of the room, debris from outside had not gotten properly cleaned out before one of our employees spent the night there. Would highly recommend staying anywhere else due to the cleanliness of this place being so low.

Excellent hotel. We had a long drive from Texas and arrived around 1am. So happy the hotel concierge waited for us to arrive. Customer service and friendliness was great at check-in. Our A/C was turned on for us before we arrived so I room was really comfortable. Rooms were clean and cozy. The beds and pillows were also super comfortable. My parents also approved of how great the beds were. Bathroom was really clean too. Honestly I have no complaints, just great service. I highly recommend this hotel.

And older property in excellent conditionAn older property that has been kept in excellent condition. The owners have provided small touches such as outlet modules for business travelers and snacks with breakfast on covid hold. I always look at the couch and the upholstery was clean with no stains, tears, or scratches. The manager was welcoming and helpful. My only criticism would be that I think it was a bit overpriced for Blythe.
