Amazing hotel. If you are a western tourist (UK here) then this is a great, safe choice. Can easily get an uber to anywhere you need to. Would definitely stay here again. Also - paying a bit extra for the terrace and the view of the Nile is def worth it.

Convenient downtown Hotel. Comfortable rooms, check-in process warm & friendly.
Staff demonstrated ex exceptional professionalism & warmth, lead by amazing Abeer Fattah👏👌
A big shout to Samy Masoud Sayed, Restaurant Manager for brilliantly managing the Restaurant service, freshness of food, quality & massive spread too!🙌👍

Staff are super friendly and helpful

We spent 3 nights at the Kempinski Nile Hotel and felt very welcome and safe. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and offer everything you need. Unfortunately, despite the soundproof windows, the street noise (car horns) outside is so audible in the rooms that you almost need earplugs to sleep.
We particularly liked the roof terrace with the heated pool and the amazing view over the Nile and Cairo.
The breakfast buffet was also varied, fresh and delicious. The only thing is that the waiters at breakfast should always come straight away and ask if you would like coffee or tee.
We would choose the Kempinski Nile Hotel again on our next visit.

The staff here lacks soft skills, and customer service. Beware that when you pay for items at this hotel they will charge you twice and refuse to provide receipts at the time if purchase. The staff also lack in comprehening english words and lacks patience. It’s disgusting how the staff talk to you as if they know everything and then when you threaten to complain the front desk manager Muhammad Alie will threathen to contact the police to lie to say you refuse to pay for service. I trusted the staff with my card. Provided the staff with my card and told the transaction was approved only to be told later the card was never charged. l tried to show prroof of bank statements and viedo to show staff taking my card to back to pay for items. The manager lied to my face and then threatened to contact the police to say I shouted with him and refused to pay. I did not refuse to pay I simply was upset and demanded answerers to why staff was in the back with my credit card doing God knows what for five minutes and to bw told later I was never charged. I have receipts frim my credit card company along with video. The manager refused to review the video and receipts. I recorded the incident on my phone.

- bathroom finishing was not up to known kempinski standards
- staff were not so helpful, e.g. after check in I had to wait one hour for my luggage to be delivered to my room , another example staff had to reach out after check out to bill me for 4 $ ( yes you're not mistaken, it's four USD) worth of peanuts, although I paid almost 700 USD for 3 nights

Rooms too smalls. Old building

The property is very small and outdated for the rate and a "luxury" category. It is a very nice "boutique" hotel with great location and view, however, you can see a lot of wear and tear. The cleanliness was also disappointing, the carpet was obviously dirty, there were a lot of finger prints and stains on the high touch areas, also we were scheduled for a linen change but they skipped it because we were checking out the following day. The water pressure was very weak as well. The bed and linen though were very good quality. Staff are very nice however they are very selective to allow certain cars to pull in for drop off/pick up which was not expected from a luxury hotel in this area. For the price I would rather stay at Four Season or Intercontinental next door.

This property is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and were very accommodating. We are family of five and we the hotel was so safe to let our teenage kids go to the pool without us. The concierge, Raed, Arranged a fantastic day out to the pyramids along with other activities. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Cairo.

I spent almost a week at this hotel and it is definitely not a 5 star hotel — for these reasons:
1/ the bed mattress is uneven and has a huge dent - I called reception, a guy came flipped the mattress and said mattress was bought a month earlier.
2/ the bathroom sink and bathtub get clogged every single time you use them. And the hair dryer doesn’t work.
3/ upon arriving - reception insists you pay all your stay upfront. I paid three days upfront and said on fourth day I would pay the rest - i was awaiting a transfer. They proceeded to lock me out of the room every single day. Apparently this is a common practice. I’d arrive exhausted late night after my conference - and find my key card disabled.
4- the noise level inside hotel is pretty bad. Around 5am the service doors in each floor start opening and slamming as hotel employees begin moving around. This is in addition to noise from traffic on the busy corniche road.
This hotel is not worth $250 a night — should be half of that.

Had a great short stay. Very friendly staff and nice roof bar, but can get busy as there’s not a lot of seating. Beds and pillows were comfortable and everything was clean. Would recommend.

Kempinski is supposed to be a 5 Star hotel and experience however some aspects have let us down during our stay. Their Bar fridges were malfunctioning and some items in the room from a house keeping perspective were not up to standard.
Their breakfast was amazing albeit the service in the Resturant has been disappointing to a point where I carried dishes off our messy table.

The kitchen gave me food poisoning

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who managed to get us a room 2 hours earlier than expected as we arrived early. The hotel is clean and the lounge had good food and drinks options while we waited.
They also dry-cleaned what we gave them in less than 2 hours, enough time for us to get ready for the wedding we were attending later.
We had lunch at the Italian restaurant in the hotel. The Alfredo pasta was the most disappointing and tasteless pasta we've ever had... the other dishes were better.
We wouldn't advise walking around. We saw many stray dogs barking at people in the streets. It's better to take a car to your destination.

The hotel was really nice, staff friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. The only complaint I had was that the air conditioning wasn’t working, but we didn’t mind and decided to live with it. The hotel facilities are good with two ver nice restaurants. The area around the hotel is a bit dirty, but that’s just Cairo. Overall, a nice stay and would recommend.

The hotel has cigarette smell and needs to be updated. Carpets were dirty and small rooms. Shower was clogged. I would not stay there again.

The service at the Kempinski continues to be disappointing for a big name hotel. Check-in was slow - and despite being ‘Gold’ (whatever that means now) there was no early check-in. More frustrating was that when we did get our room, they offered to bring our bags to the room. I had an online meeting - so offered to bring them myself. They insisted they would do it and they’d be with us in five minutes. 45 minutes and three phone calls later to chase them, I went down to the reception to find them, only to miss my meeting. The rooms are nice and in good condition - but continue to use single plastic toiletries galore. We will stay elsewhere next time.

From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of at the hotel. A beautiful and very well-maintained building, we felt very safe with the tasteful perimeter and security station at the entrance. Service was five-star, whether from the front desk, the tour of the entire facility by the butler (yes, butler service!), or the room service that set up a roll-away bed. Travelling with four young children, the staff made them feel welcome and treated them like little adults (which helped us with setting behavioral expectations). We purchased the breakfast package upon arrival, even knowing that we'd miss one day due to early departure to tour Alexandria. Service showed again when they assembled six boxed meals (& coffee) for us to collect by 5:30 that morning. When we did make it to breakfast, we enjoyed a cosmopolitan menu that pleased everyone. Best was the server who imparted daily wisdom while refilling coffee. Location was great: we walked to Tahrir Square in the early evening and were able to walk right outside the hotel to walk along the Nile River. I regret we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the gorgeous hotel. We (my wife, another couple, and I) enjoyed a delightful evening at the rooftop bar; the old fashioneds were a bit sweet for me but delicious after a day of touring and my wife enjoyed the wine selection. I regret we never made it to the jazz bar the floor below; the ambiance felt awesome but the night was too beautiful to sit inside. Next time!

This hotel has a very good location, design and convenience. It is a bit less than 4 Seasons but a lot better. We have stayed in both. It is more modern and updated. I loved their spa with saunas and relaxation room. The views on the roof top bar are amazing. Overall, excellent references. I would definitely go back.
