We unfortunately had one of the dog friendly rooms which were all that were left . This was not pointed out before booking . You could tell a dog had stayed there but we managed

Lovely location, nice simple self-service check-in, some nice facilities in the room e.g. a fridge. Room condition needed a slight refresh, but overall, very nice.

We loved how close it was to town and hiking. The Arran cottage was really attractive!

Lovely property and surrounds. Room clean, warm and comfortable.
We chose to stay at this B and B out of several properties at the same price as it included breakfast ( confirmed in our booking email as advertised)
On arrival there was a laminated note left in the room advising breakfast was not being served currently. There was however a voucher for £5 for a local cafe which wouldn’t even cover the cost of 2 coffees.
If we’d have known in advance that breakfast was not included we would have booked elsewhere.
Disappointing as it really was a lovely location

Property was very good.
We were told on Expedia that free breakfast was included.
We were offered one £5:00 voucher for a local cafe. Which we rejected.
Very disappointed.

Lovely property and staff but it’s a good 1/2 hour walk to the town which is fine but it’s along A roads and B roads with no pavements. If you had children or a pram it would be really unsafe. No food or drink available at the guest house itself. Other than it’s a good place to stay.

Lovely venue. Weather prevented us from enjoying it fully.

What a BEAUTIFUL location with a stunning view of the mountains. Close to both the Torrent and Precipice Hiking paths!! (incredible) Close to the friendly, fun town of Dogellau with some great places to eat and shop. Close to the Mach Loop which was amazing to see the fighter jets go over!! Our family LOVED staying here. We so hope to visit again, if able, in the future. 5 stars in our book!!!

Originally booked for just 1 night but booked for 1 more as enjoyed the room that much (would have even booked for 3 more nights but no availability). Fairly large room with hob, microwave, sink, and fridge.

Lovely area with fantastic rooms.
Had to change a room from a twin to a double when we arrived.

Shower floor very slippy, needs grab rail or plastic mat.
Extractor fan very noisy. Bearings worn?

Lovely setting with a nice clean room but was disappointing not to see anyone to welcome us or to check all ok, breakfast was listed as additional when booking but found out that no breakfasts currently served, from arriving to leaving we spoke to no one making the stay a little disappointing, pillows not great also, such a shame as with a little bit of effort the stay could have been excellent.

Great accommadation ,spotlessly clean ,with friendly and helpful staff ,great location with easy access to Dolgellau .stayed there to cycle the Mawddach trail to Barmouth .Highly recomended

A tidy guest house with reasonable spec. Very clean.
One thing to note is that it is said to be 'pet friendly' on hotels.com but in fact this is only partially the case. Some rooms are in the house and dogs are not allowed in these - so best to check first.
We would stay again - it is handy for Dolgellau and Barmoth.

I stayed with my friend and my two dogs. We had a beautiful separate room with a huge en-suite and a fenced in area for the dogs. It was perfect!

Beautiful property in idyllic location. Excellent room service and breakfast provided by friendly and obliging staff. Family room no. 8 provided excellent value with separate bedroom and living area with kitchen. Accessed by staircase but similar family room (no. 5) available on ground floor if stairs present difficulty. We shall definitely book here again when visiting Dolgellau area.

This 450 year old hotel guesthouse is nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside overlooking lush green fields and surrounded by mountains. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. This was case of the photos online matching the expected experience. I will be back again.
