The property is very beautiful and felt like a hidden oasis. We really enjoyed relaxing- Definitely get an ocean view room - not a pool view - unless you don't mind kids. The staff was really friendly. The food was okay- definitely not my favorite throughout Thailand but we did really enjoy the breakfast buffet. It had anything and everything. There a little bar (called the Reggae Bar) where you can watch the sunset and its really beautiful. I would recommend going out to eat at some of the local spots outside of the resort- Fat Monkey was a personal fave! The resort offered Kayaks and snorkel masks for us to use - free of charge- which was really nice for exploring. They have a few chairs on the private beach, but I wish there would have been more lounge like chairs like at the pool but on either the private or public beach. Everything else was wonderful- I would definitely recommend staying here if you travel to Ko Lanta.

Be aware that there are two pools on the property when booking - we thought we booked at the main pool, but actually booked at the secondary pool. Both pools are mostly shaded during the day. It was very difficult to find pool towels; seemed like they were rarely replenished. Primary pool has a swim up bar and food service, the secondary pool as food service as well, but the dishes pile up during the day and aren't removed frequently enough giving the pool area a messy appearance. There were other small things like this that on their own, wouldn't have been a big deal, but collectively, downgraded the hotel in our eyes. The breakfast was great though! Overall, OK experience.

Several requests for ice yet not provided Not a walkable hotel, hill climb to restaurant Old buggy service at hotel, noise and polluting, very uncomfortable Restaurant food substandard, dinner wait time excessive more than 45 minutes to get meal after ordering, hotel needs many upgrades, needs new bath towels, needs upgraded bath amenities, needed new big screen televisions with satellite channels. Staff need extensive training to improve guest experience. Generally a low 3 star hotel

The location is good, with a private beach and easy access to the public beach. The hotel is marketed at 5 star, it isn’t. They say they have 3 restaurants in reality they have 3 places to sit to eat (depending on time of day/meal) but all cooking is done at a central kitchen and then ferried around the complex via golf cart. And, catering for Coeliacs/gluten free is extremely limited, with no bread alternative. If it is naturally gluten free that’s okay, but there was no offering of the breads, pancakes, waffles or cakes available for other guests.The rooms are dated, with ineffective air conditioning units that are noisy and right by the bed making it difficult to sleep. The bathrooms are spacious but again dated. There were no face cloths to use and whilst the towels were changed regularly they were worn and old. I think it was probably one of the better hotels in the area, but that doesn’t make it 5 star and the service definitely wasn’t.

Hotel is just perfect... Very nice and clean rooms, great pool, friendly stuff, whole complex is on hill, so you need to walk up and down again, but of you dont want to walk, there is free shuttle service and in comes on seconds. Food also good. Highly recommended for couples or families who are looking for quiet and clean place.

We stayed here for two nights and it is a horrible experience. The room is so outdated and dirty. The bedsheet has dots and stains. The shower head is covered with green rust. We booked a sea view room and it turned out to be a glimpse of the sea under the tree shadow. And in the second night, the water was so cold and we could not even shower. I called the service five times and every time they just told me wait for another 5-10 mins. And we waited for over an hour and nothing got fixed. Eventually we just have to take a cold shower, which is really unpleasant. And the hotel is in a location that is not easy to get access to the town and you have to take taxi. Walking is sort of dangerous. The breakfast is covered but the food is not fresh, and some of them are from the previous day. The food in the restaurant sucks and overpriced. And their beach has lots of rocks, so it is painful to walk on it. Also, the staff is poor in English and it is hard to communicate with them. Overall, the experience I considered is really unpleasant and with the money you pay, I feel it is a scam. Also, they consider themselves 4.5 stars hotel but I think 4.5 star hotel should at least supply hot water for shower. I am so disappointed and I wish I did not book this hotel.

Very nice location, super friendly and helpful staff!! Bed for me too soft!!! Beach private, that’s nice, but it’s true there are stones but you can swim, no problem! The exit to the public beach is super close and there are a lot of nice and good restaurants!! Food in the restaurant was ok, but nothing special.

Overall very nice property. Our room was on the top of the hill so even though hi tel offers free shuttle to and from the room to the lobby it was a bit steep to walk up and down if you didn’t want to wait for the shuttle. Rooms were nice, specious and clean. Our particular room had a bit of an issue with shower drain but nothing that would ruin our stay.

Overall we liked the location and layout of the resort. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. You may have to utilize the shuttle to get from your room to places, but it comes very quickly and us fast. The breakfast everyday was a positive as well. We had a Villa with private pool. At the price we paid for it and what we expected, we were dissapointed. The room felt like it hadn't been maintained, but they had put Band-Aids on any issues. It had an odor and we could not get steady warm water in the shower. We constantly found bugs in our house room and the glass doors to the pool did not completely shut. We had stayed at another resort on this island and did not have these issues. The "private beach" was no existent, it barely had sand and was mostly rock.

If you are looking for a 4-5 star resort, according to Western world standards, Crown Lanta is not the place for you. Although the resort has some charm, it does not live up to the way it is marketed ("4.5 star boutique resort") and has apparently not been properly maintained over the years. However, when we brought these views to the attention of the resort´s General Manager he was extremely attentive and helpful, so he really lived up to the words "flexible "refund policies" on Crown Lanta´s website. The other resort staff were also very nice and kind.

The resort was gorgeous, clean and the views we had from our room we spectacular. The resort is huge and built on steep hills. We used the very convenient shuttle to drive us around. The staff was exceptional. My husband left his passport in the safe of the previous hotel and Meen, our hostess effortlessly arranged for it to arrive on the next ferry. We were super grateful. Thank you.

Our room had a private pool, which was the best part of staying at this resort. The resort is overall okay. However, the food can be improved much more.

I booked the poolside villa, was greeted with an amazing staff and a wonderful fruit platter in my room. Peaceful clean, well decorated beautiful room wonderful bathroom. The staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. They offer free shuttle to and from the small town nearby call the concierge that will help with any activity as well as book you transportation to and from the airport.

I cant stress enough how great the staff here is! We visited during low season and they upgraded our room which was so nice! Red the bartender was the absolute best and made the trip so fun and enjoyable! The breakfast was amazing and the check in process was so quick and painless. The service was unmatched and made us never want to leave the resort! Will definitely be returning one day!

The Crown Lanta is amazing! It is perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. We were there for 4 nights in early May, and stayed in a pool access room which I cannot recommend enough. The beds were huge and comfortable, the AC worked perfectly and it was lovely being able to get straight into the pool from our room. As it was low season it felt like we had it to ourselves a lot and the pool by the room is huge! The other pool is also excellent and has a swim up pool bar, and the private beach is lovely - again, we felt like we had this to ourselves. The resort is quite hilly but they have buggies to transport you all over at any time, and they run a free shuttle service to and from Saladan (5 minutes away) a few times a day. At other times it is only 50 Baht per person per way in a tuk tuk. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and we had great dinners at both the Cliff restaurant and the Reggae Bar. The Reggae Bar is an absolute must for sunset - you can get a cabana to yourself and watch the sun go down with some cocktails (and there is a happy hour here and at the pool bar too)! Also, the huge public beach is just round the corner. Before we arrived we emailed the hotel to organise a very easy transfer from Krabi airport. There is also a tour operator in the lobby which provided great prices for lots of different trips. We did the 4 island one in a speedboat for only £30 each, and also booked a speedboat to our next destination (Phi Phi) for £15 each.

Crown Lanta has great service and outstanding food. Some of the air conditioning is a little dated but adequate. A family friendly hotel with great pools and a Reggae Bar down by the waters edge was fabulous to relax in at night

it was a good stay:) very low key:) only one thing is that it is hard to get a bus at the bus stop:( but besides that it was wonderful:) the view was amazing

Nice place-quiet and relaxing. A bit away from the rest of the island. Spa was subpar, especially for the price.

Hotel room was amazing with sea views. also pool area was beautiful. Food in restaurant was great as well and not too expensive. The local area reminded us of how Koh Samui was 20 years ago.
