We had a double room with limited daylight. The bathroom was big and also the shower was a good size.
The pool had a fine view and easy to find a sunbed.
The downside of this hotel is that they don’t have a restaurant. Instead the have bar service were you can get some food. When we arrived the told we always could get food at the bar but last night we stayed they said that we couldn’t get food even though a lot free tables inside (the calmed we couldn’t sit there because it was already made ready for next day breakfast). A very bad excuse in our eyes.
The standard at the breakfast was not for a four star hotel.

Our room was on the first floor and felt almost basement like, we didn't have a view because we were basically eye level with the ground outside. So that was a disappointment but the room was huge and looked like the pictures online. The facilities were as expected with a gorgeous pool and great views. The restaurant was also very tasty. I think we were just a little disappointed by where our room was situated and would have liked a room with more of a view.

Villa Campomaggio is absolutely amazing. Located in perfect area close to 3 must-see Chianti towns (Radda, Greve, Gaoli) the resort is quaint and perfectly Tuscan (i.e. exactly what you want your place in Tuscany to look like). The communication prior to arrival was excellent and the directions to get there were spot on. The grounds and the stone buildings are impeccable and exactly what you want in a Tuscan Estate. The Team members at Campomaggio were extremely helpful with any and all needs you had. We rented a Deluxe Suite (1 Bedroom) for a very reasonable rate and the room was HUGE with King Bed, spa bedroom, chair and table to work. sofa to relax on - couldn't ask for more and great 4 nights. The bar and breakfast were lovely and affordable and my wife had an outstanding deep tissue massage at the spa. The pool was perfect and there are so many "cute" little areas to sit - relax - enjoy a bottle of wine or an Aperol Spritz. We will 100% come back to Villa Campomaggio next year!!

The staff were so nice and accommodating. We received a room upgrade from the kindness of their heart. The food was outstanding and the views were amazing!

If you want to experience heaven on earth this is a property you need to book! Excellent staff, spacious rooms, delicious dining, and views to die for.

Amazing property…Beautiful area! Staff was friendly.
Spa was great!
Swinging shower door was not ideal. It had to be positioned just right to keep water from splashing out.
Couldn’t get bath jets to work…we didn’t bother asking for help.
Room was beautiful. Clean and comfortable.

This hotel is NOT 4 star! We had hoped the hotel would be as magnificent as their photos online. Yes, the grounds and the view were beautiful - but everything else was pretty average.
To start with the rooms are very dated, very dark and have extremely poor lighting. The room was very warm and stuffy and the staff told us that it is controlled for the whole building - it was set at 24.5!!! They suggested we open a window. Well, there were no fly screens and anyone could have climbed into our room - so that was not an option. The WIFI was very weak, but the staff insisted that they had never had a complaint about it. That is impossible.
The dining room looked spectacular until we sat on the chairs only to discover they were plastic - so weird. The dinner was really very bad - our only bad meal in all of Italy.
When we checked in, we were told we could get a croissant and coffee for 5 euros in the morning. However they were not able to serve us because we didn’t place our order the night before. How is this 4 star service.
There were no bellboys in sight. In fact it seems the front desk person did everything by themselves. You can not drive your car up to the entrance so you have to CARRY your own luggage quite a distance (up hill and cobblestone driveway) - bags could not be rolled and heels are not an option. With this sort of entrance - a bell boy should be on duty at the bottom of the driveway at all times.
Overall a very poor experience.

This was an incredibly beautiful property with an amazing staff. It is so peaceful and serene. Only a few things irritated us. They need a qualified bartender and a bell man. The cobble stone hill made it difficult to hall luggage from the gravel parking lot. With that being said, I would do it over again. It was one of my most favorite locations.

The hotel has beautiful grounds to sit or walk around and enjoy. Rooms are big and comfortable. Nice size bathrooms. The room was a bit dark but great for sleeping at night. I suggest if you want a bright sunny room to request it as they do have rooms with big windows and more brightness. Also make sure to request if prefer a shower or tub.
They were very nice to accommodate us last minute.
We have stayed at the hotel before and always had a good experience. The service is excellent and the restaurant has good food for lunch. Breakfast is a nice spread; love their coffee.
It’s a great location to get to many vineyards and close to good restaurants. You do need a car for this location. Parking on hotel property is easy.
They have nice Spa facilities.
The hotel is a good value considering what you get.

A very charming and comfortable hotel set in the most picturesque and idyllic location. Staff are very very helpful and go beyond what would normally be expected…local knowledge and recommendations.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a little incident at arrival when I accidentally backed our car into an awkward position. I would like to thank everyone who helped get us out of the situation on the day, the reception lady, the waitress who doubled up as the life-saving driver, and the tractor driver. Everyone was super calm and helpful. I was very impressed with the Italian teamwork! The rest of our stay was lovely as well. The property is super clean and spotless throughout. We very much enjoyed just chilling at the property during sunset and also enjoyed the easy drives to the towns nearby. Would highly recommend this hotel to all looking for a lovely stay in this beautiful part of Tuscany!

Amazing property with great views! We had a huge balcony that was overlooking to pool and vineyards.
Staff at the lobby and bar were very busy and it was difficult to get service, but when we did - everyone was friendly.
Only bigger negative is that they don't have a full restaurant on site or close by so you definitely need a car!

What a perfect place! It is located in the hills, very quiet and secluded, with a beautiful view of the surroundings. The hotel is very luxurious, well kept and built with lots of space everywhere. Our apartments where extremely large and comfortable. There's plenty to enjoy, from a nice breakfast, drinks being served at the pool to a simple dinner at the hotel itself. Staff is so very friendly that it was hard for us that we had to leave. We will certainly be coming back!

Breathtaking views all around the resort! The staff members were very helpful! We didn’t have a car and they helped line up a driver to take us on some amazing wine tours. We wish we would have booked this resort for the entire week. The pool and spa were very nice, too. The resort had food options, but not full restaurant, so we recommend a car.

Beautifully nestled in the hilltop, is this gem of a hotel. The setting is like a castle in a fairytale. The surrounding is almost mid evil, the stonework and the flowers are so beautiful. The pool and lobby, and the spa provide the finishing touches to this magical place. The rooms are clean and spacious, we rented and apartment for 4, and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this for a beautiful stay.

This property was a DREAM. The room was royal, the pool was incredible, and the grounds are gorgeous. The spa was excellent and we didnt want to leave!

The hotel is very nice and beautiful but as all services in Italy people are rude and seems not glad doing their jobs. I didn't like the shower of my bedroom, the water takes time to get warm and shower area was too small.

This is a difficult place to rate overall as the location, property, & views were stunning, however our room and the restaurant on site not so much. The pool was beautiful and clean and has gorgeous views of the vineyards. Our room was okay....bed was a little too hard and bathroom was okay. The shower was small and could have afforded to have been cleaned a little better, there was mold in the grout. The staff was friendly. The “restaurant” serves absolutely no food after breakfast until dinner around 7pm. They had a subpar breakfast each morning that they charge 14 euro for- I wouldn’t recommend it. Our first night we ate dinner on site. They are only open from 7-10 and the food was comparable to canned chef boyardee from the US...which luckily I happen to like but it was not that quality of what I was expecting from Tuscany. Overall it was the poorest quality food we had on our whole trip across Italy. The service at dinner was also poor, it seemed as if she was annoyed to have us eating there, she did not check up on us and we weren’t offered the opportunity to even order dessert or coffee. Didn’t have the chance to check out the spa but I saw they have organic products which is great! Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating and helped us to book wine tours and make dinner reservations.

The Villa Campomaggio is a lovely hotel. Clearly a lot of thought, care and expense has gone into restoring it, albeit perhaps the ambition was a little more than it could sustain.
We had a superior double room, which was huge, with a massive comfortable bed and a huge amount of wardrobe space. There was a shower/bathroom with double sink, supplied with plentiful toiletries and bath linen. There is a small fridge in the room - not quite a minibar as it only contains soft drinks - and a rather small safe - it's not really big enough for a laptop or large DSLR camera. There is WiFi which was fine, albeit you have to remake the connection fairly frequently.
The breakfast is of a eurobuffet style, more than satisfactory and of ample quantity, albeit the scrambled eggs were always lukewarm. The coffee is good, and the staff helpful.

One of the nicest rooms we stayed in on our 14 day trek. Amenities were great as was the spa. Beautiful spot.

Its in the heart of Chianti. Conveniently located between Siena and Florence. Many wineries around! Stunning view! Wonderful amenities and beautify hotel ground!Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice spa which is really useful after you come back from a day trips. If they would make the working hours a bit longer, it would be even better (it is open untill 8pm now; while many spa resorts have their spas open until 9pm or 10pm)One little suggestion about the room - some hangers in the bathroom would make a huge difference in how convenient it is to use the space. Another note - the wifi works well in the reception area , but hardly in other parts of the hotel. So if you try to use it for work, it might be problematic, but if you use it exclusively for pleasure, you will probably figure it out finding the spots :)I would go back for sure!

An attractive property with pool in Chianti. The front desk was staffed by very accommodating employees.
Downside was the lack of a full dining facility, location was not that close to restaurants and the room was dark, musty and lacked adequate air conditioning.
Tried to enjoy breakfast on the patio but were chased inside by the bees, flies and mosquitos. Overall an average property.
