Fantastic hotel with one of the most spectacular views in all of the Canadian Rockies! Restaurant is world class, staff are super friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and comfortable. Have stayed here before and will stay again. Minutes from Jasper National Park and a relatively short distance to Miette Hot Springs. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and the staff were friendly and polite. The restaurant was excellent. The only downside was the fact that although we stayed for 3 nights our room was not serviced.

We booked one night on way home from East Kootenays. Had heard decent things so thought it would be worth the price. Sadly, we were mistaken. The tub jets were dirty and one missing, the tub/shower doors is 1980 version & tracking on them not clean. There was a brown ring around the sink drain. The transition piece between the flooring from sink area to main room was not a good fit and allowed dust/dirt to build up between the wall and the transition piece. For the price, every room should have a fantastic view - we had a view of the driveway and fence. No TV's or radios in the room, if you can get Wi-Fi, you should be able to get these. Upon checkout, the girl never even asked how things were. We had stayed in the East Kootenays for less of a price with far more amenities and a million dollar view. Pictures on the website nothing like the room we had

Excellent location and beautiful view

Main lodge and restaurant were really nice. Food was great, great view from patio. Rained one day and they had a wood fire going which was a great spot to hang out quietly and grab a drink. Rooms are dated and need upgrading but overall functional.

The staff in all parts of the hotel were polite, quick and friendly. We will definitely be back in the future. I give a to the Hotel and Staff

Conveniently located property to the Jasper area. The room was basically the equivalent of a motel room and considerably overpriced in our opinion. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant served a great breakfast and expensive dinners but has a wonderful view. We enjoyed the large deck at the main lodge for cocktails and snacks in the afternoon. Our stay was pleasant enough but, overall, the value is not worth the price.

We stayed in the cabins, they are basic at best, more suited as a hunting cabin than a family vacation spot. The price is outrageous $400 a night is way too much for what you get, its price gauging at its finest. The view of folding mountain was nice but I would not recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at the Overlander and were very thankful for the upgrade. Good was delicious but a bit pricey. A couple of small issues with the room that were shared with the staff.

We unfortunately did not get to stay long since we evacuated because of the fires, but in the time we did stay we enjoyed our time. The only downside was no ac. It was hot, we did however have a floor fan that did the trick. I would recommend this lodge , it’s quiet and peaceful and they handled the evacuation quite well. It was chaos as you can imagine.

The location near Hinton and Jasper is great. We stayed in a separate kitchenette room behind the main lodge. The bed and sheets were clean. Nice hot water and pressure in the shower. However, the space is in some serious need of updating and maintenance. The paint on doors and walls had drips and scrapes on them. there is no AC in the rooms, we absolutely needed airflow from open windows since it was 80sF. The crank windows on both windows were broken - they opened the windows, but disconnected from the windows if we tried to close them with the crank and could not close the windows back. One of these windows had a bent screen frame which allowed small bugs to come in. The 3rd window near the bed had no screen on it at all, so we could not open that window since we didn't want to let bugs in. We specifically booked this room so we could cook some meals. We stored all our groceries in the mini fridge. It worked fine the first night. But our second morning, I woke up to all contents of the fridge warm to the touch and had to throw out most of our perishable groceries. It was running, but not getting cold. I mentioned this at checkout and the receptionist at the desk wrote down that detail to have housekeeping take a look, but it would've been nice to get an apology and perhaps some attempts at service recovery - like a discount on the cost of our room given I lost meats and dairy I had stored in the fridge. WiFi weak, no TV, very basic and outdated and way overpriced.

Everything about the property and stay was good, I was just not prepared for no Air Conditioning and such poor wifi.

The Lodge is very rustic & feels like u r in a log cabin. The views were outstanding & the restaurant was top notch! It’s unfortunate that the weather was so hot & the rooms do not have air conditioning so it was quite uncomfortable to sleep in at night. Even with the windows open, there wasn’t enough air. The room had a ceiling fan which helped & it would have been better if there was also a large standup fan. They had a tiny extra fan which really didn’t help much. The staff & service was amazing. The rooms felt homey, were very clean but the bathroom was so tiny that u could barely move in it & the door would not stay open to get more night air in. It would be helpful to have a stopper for the door. The location was too far away from the hiking trails in the National Park. Please note that the Lodge is not in the Park, it’s closer to the City of Hinton. No where on Hotels.com site does it say that or it wasn’t clear.

Rooms could be a bit spacious with space to put your clothes away when you are staying 4 nights like us. We had to keep them in suitcase. Also, as it is standard accommodation a desk with chair should be required as I had to work in the evenings and coffee table with armchair with three pillows on is not ideal.
Staff was very accommodating, attentive and courteous.
Restaurant beautiful however very pricey with very mediocre food and sub-par ingredients just presented in a nice way. Folding Mountain Canadian fare restaurant across the street had much better quality items, even though not as fancy menu. Overall, good value for the lodging and surrounding area.

Nice little place nestled on top of a mountain. Nice views and cozy patios.

The scenery and location was breathtaking. The few things to consider are: no air conditioning, no phones in rooms and no tvs.
2.5
We stayed here as our base for visiting Jasper National Park. It's farther from most trails than if you stayed in the town of Jasper, but the quiet, tranquil location made up for it. Food options nearby are limited but good: on site restaurant (rather pricey) and a brewpub about 2 km away.

Didn't realize the hotel was 50 km from Jasper, even though it has a Jasper address. Small room, unpaved road to the hotel, unpaved parking lot, no TV, smallest toilet we have ever seen, the bed creaked loudly with any movement.
2.5
Great little rustic cottage with a beautiful mountain view. The restaurant had great food for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend and will definately keep in mind for my next stay in Jasper.

We spent 2 nights at the property. Check in was quick and easy even though we reached the property around 10 pm. It is in a convenient location just outside the Jasper National park. The property is somewhat dated, could use some upgrades. There is a nice overlook patio area for guest and dining room. Even though we did not eat at the restaurant, there are plentiful options.
3.0
The staff was very friendly, and the mountain setting beautiful. The outside is very appealing but the inside of the rooms are old and lacking. The walls are thin between rooms, and you could hear all the talking. If you’re not a hiker, there is nothing to fill your time with, and there are no TVs either. We had to go off property to find activities. Good if you want to be outside all the time with nature though.

Stunning place to stay, food and views were amazing. Huge thanks to Delainy for her kindness and advise on where to visit.

Spectacular views. Cozy. Easy access to Jasper and Hinton. I could not have picked a better place to stay while visiting Jasper and it is the only place i would stay if/when I come back.

We enjoyed it a lot and will visit again. We should have stayed for longer than one night.
