I’ve been to this hotel for one week and I have to say that I had a great time! The service is perfect everyone is friendly, the food is very good and tasty and they offer every day different food. Besides the hotel lobby is very modern and cozy. The rooms are a little bit old fashioned but also clean and the beds are comfortable. I can’t complain about anything! This hotel is just very recommendable. :)

Perfectly located in Plakias for beaches, bars, tavernas & shops. Have been visiting for approximately 15 years. Medium sized hotel, in attractive surroundings. Pleasant dining options, very good food, lots of variety. Decent pool, reasonable number of loungers though limited space at pool which can be tricky to walk around. Rooms are simple but comfortable, nice private outdoor space . Small fridge in room but no tea/coffee making facilities. The only negative is the very small bathrooms which are quite dated & l think a large person or someone with mobility problems would struggle in the shower. Everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are lovely, big shout out to Ami a real character!

This was our 6th trip here, so obviously there is a lot to love. Three times as a couple, this was 3rd with two younger generations. Staff are lovely - although there is a risk of wine recommendations becoming a sales pitch. There are lots more hotel-organised trips available than before. This can provide comfort and confidence to new visitors but you can save money if you choose to arrange them yourself. Pool area is beautifully kept and clean. There are not a huge number of sun beds - most people head to the very close beach, so pool never feels overcrowded. Baby pool and play area is good, and board games etc inside if you want them. Endless easy-listening cover version music was a bit distracting - would happily have more Greek background music on low volume. Great music night with live musicians and dancing. Plentiful food in restaurant but a risk of it being too easy to dine here every night - visit the local restaurants at least once for more local atmosphere.

A great hotel choice in Plakios. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable and the included breakfast and dinner buffets are amazing. Parking is tight on site and you can easily walk to the sea, shops and resturants.

Everything was great. The food was delicious and different each day. Customer service was amazing and client-focused. The only small downside (only a downside if you care about this) is the size of the pool, which wasn't too big.

Nice hotel. But everything inside the room seems to be very old. Couldn’t sleep with ac because it worked too loud. They give you a key not as a plastic card but a metal one with a big thing on it. Breakfast is ok. Location is ok. Close to the beach. Many restaurants and supermarkets around.

The staff warmed during our stay at this hotel. Very high standard public areas both inside and out. The rooms were adequate but a little basic and our room had a tiny shower/bathroom area.Gardens and pool were exceptionally well maintained and the virus precautions were excellent.

A very, very Good Hotel in a Privileges area of Plakias. We had nothing to complain about. Service, food, the location itself -being close to the beach, rooms, check-in and -out were outstanding.

Amazing place. Excellent staff. Excellent food at the restaurant. Truly enforcing COVID-19 policies. All staff wear masks. They have a real plan for social distancing and making sure there is a safe traffic flow through the restaurant, also keeping a maximum number of guest in the buffet at any one time. By the way, the staff serves the food at the buffet. The guests are precluded from touching the food. It is a very safe place and I never felt concerned like I have at other hotels on Crete. The room was very comforts with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The swimming pool is very clean. Several lounge chairs to choose from. Beach/pool towels are provided. I would definitely stay here again. No question!

we had booked 3 night at this hotel , when we arrived 2 oclock we were told our room was,nt ready and that we would have to move to a different room the next day , we wer,nt happy about it but when we finaly got to the room it was good , a big room with sofa bed and seperate bedroom , well equipt kitchen . we left our bag,s packed the next morn and went off for the day , when we gotback we were given a key to new room , it was terrible very small with no kitchen or even a kettle , the shower was so small you could only use it sideways , we were very dissapointed , and complained , the staff were not at all helpful and said there was nothing they could do as we were only a couple and douple rooms don,t have kitchens only family rooms ,,i find this very strange as couples liketo make a cuppa when they want as well as families , we got fed up of arguing as we were getting no where so,put up with it , we have always gone self catering but thought this year we would have a treat in a good hotel , well if thats what you get i won,t bother again .

Great service. Comfortable stay. Beautiful location. Wonderful experience!

A nice hotel but the friendly staff, excellent location, good public facilities, cleanliness and overall good feel of the place are diminished by the bathroom, which even by Greek standards is inadequate. Having said that, we have stayed there 3 times because it is probably the best of what Plakias has to offer.

Hotel staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Hotel lobby, pool, grounds etc. were beautifully kept and the room was smart and bright with the exception of a tight shower. An air of peace and tranquility pervaded. The beach opposite the hotel is a bit rocky but by moving a few hundred metres to the left you reach a gorgeous sandy beach with mid-sized breakers. At the far end of this beach is a discreet nudist bathing area. There are many wonderful (and good value) restaurants in Plakias town within 400 metres of the hotel - we used these rather than the buffet in the hotel which looked fair but predictable.

We found this hotel to be a delightful experience. Attractive gardens, everything well maintained, friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is lovely and the staff were friendly. I was put in a separate section across a car park where they have about 6 rooms. The furniture, bedding etc is all substandard to the main hotel. I spoke to the management about this who assured me it was quality, however, upon seeing the main hotel rooms, this wasnt the case.

This was our first visit to Plakias and we selected the Alianthos Garden Hotel after doing a lot of internet research. We were delighted with everything about the hotel and definately chose the best hotel in the area in this price bracket. Expedia's description is spot on.We didn't have dinner so can only comment on the breakfast food. This was adequate and the waiters were always topping up the buffet so everything fresh. The pool seemed a bit smaller than pictures might suggest and sun beds a little cramped - this may be the only disappointment for avid pool lovers but we are beach people, so no problem.
