This hotel is all about the location, which is excellent. The little garden in the middle of the hotel is a nice place to hang out. The rooms themselves are pretty old and worn. For example, the sink tap had to be turned to just the right point for it to not drip. However the bed was comfortable. Even though the description of the hotel said there is a pool, we weren’t really expecting one, given its location. It’s a good thing we didn’t book there because it had a pool because it definitely does not have one!

A little haven in very busy City 😀 & so handy for rail station - wished we had found it sooner! Our room was lovely - decorated with sun/moon painting on wall, clean towels & bed linen & all co-ordinated. Flasks of hot water for self serve tea/coffee on each floor. Lovely courtyard garden . Friendly reception staff

A nice place close to a lot of things. Because it is near major attractions, like malioboro and the station, it was a but loud at night. But overall a good hotel with pleasant staff.

It is a nice boutique hotel with a lot of character. All rooms have a nice balcony or patio space. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and clean. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and caring. I really enjoyed my stay!

We stayed 3 days here in this lovely hotel with a courtyard just off Maliboro street and walking distance to train station. It’s a quiet, clean retreat with excellent access to affordable and reliable day trip options through Mister Tom who is always able to drive whether it’s sunsets or sunrise at nearby temples. There’s always tea and coffee out for guests and the breakfast is yummy. Train to/from Jogja is easy walking distance with luggage (right out gate 2). Lots of nearby eateries. We would definitely stay again,

Beautiful interior design, friendly staffs, comfortable room. Pretty close to the shopping street (Malioboro street). Very close to the Tugu Train station make it quite noisy with the trains' horns. But ease your trip to anywhere else, eg: Bandung, Jakarta, Malang or Surabaya. Recommended hotel to stay at.

Location is very nice. Everything is nearby. Free breakfast is offered and even very tasty. But room conditions are not very good. No TV and bathroom is no good.

Terrible experience. the room has bed bugs. Roof is leaking and walls have signs of mould. Room is dark. Toilet has terrible smell. We have to close the door but the smell still comes out. Terrible, terrible experience. Won't stay there again.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was clean with an huge comfortable bed. I came to see the temples which were amazing and this hotel gave me the platform to do that. It is not in a great area - but mostly backpackers stay there.

The hotel is in a great location - in an alley so off the busy streets which also allows it to be decently quiet. Yes, there is a mosque a few buildings down but our room was upstairs and we slept with the windows shut and were not awoken by the mosque. The room was a bit worn. The walls could be repainted and the bedding could be replaced but the hotel had its own charm. The staff were wonderful; very accommodating and I loved ordered my breakfast the night before for a specific time and there it was delivered to the table and chairs outside the room on time.

This little budget hotel provides, breakfast, tour bookings (as well as for the Ramanaya ballet) and airport transfer services. It is near other tour agencies, train station, the main shopping strip, restaurants and pubs and plenty of becak around. Convenient, comfortable, cosy. You can hear planes, announcements and train horns as the station is near by. It feels like a village than a hotel with wooden furnishing which is old and feels run-down. The service is great, friendly, i like it. Highly recommend it.

Liked the location, simple but uniquely painted rooms, and price but it's directly under the airport flight path and close to the train station, so kind of noisy. Breakfast was just ok and only had instant coffee. Instant creamer ran out and was never replaced during my remaining 2 days.

It was my first visit to Yogyakarta and when I return I will definately be staying at 1001 Malam Hotel as it exceeded my expectations as far as location and willingness from Hotel staff to ensure my visit was went as smoothlyu as possible.....all staff were extremely helpful and Mamad was my "go to man" in rergards to information about the area!!

The environment of the hotel very nice with trees and pool at the centre. There are a small public corner for self making coffee/tea as well. The staff are nice too. But the room not very clean with the bedsheets seems unchanged & old. My hubby was bite by some insects at night caused his leg swelled & pain. Think it should be some bed bugs on the dirty bedsheets. And they never clean our room at all within our stays. The dustbin is putting outside and never be clean even the rubbish is full and out of the dustbin.

The staff were very helpful. The green courtyard provides an oasis from the busy streets of Yogyakarta. The lane way gives you a wonderful example of locals living their lives and provides a buffer from the downtown streets.

Welcomed by very friendly staff. They helped to arrange for local tours (tip: book your tours when you are there to save money!). They also offer airport pick-up/drop-off.Wifi works fine. Room was clean and bed was comfy, no complaint. Breakfast is freshly cooked (you get a choice of pancakes, sandwich or fried rice) and delivered to your room every morning at a time of your choice. Room is well-maintained. No pool or TV, although that might not be a bad thing in itself. Best thing was, hot water and utensils were provided so tea/coffee were available 24/7.It's located in the middle of an international hostels area in an alley, so need to be dropped off in front of the main street, i.e. cars can't get to the entrance. Just bear that in mind. However, good thing is that it is very quiet at night, even though the location is so close to the heart of all the actions!Location-wise, it can't get any better as it is located to the north/start of Jl. Malioboro. Local food/shopping abounds, and close to a few supermarkets/mall as well, so it's very convenient to do shopping and to get food.Highly recommended for the price and location.

This is an interesting and comfortable budget hotel. We were entirely comfortable in an air conditioned room. Room was small but had a safe and TV. The staff was very accommodating, breakfast was served on a little table right outside of our room.

My girlfriends and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. While there are no facilities like a swimming pool or an in-house restaurant, it does not really matter because there are many eating places near by. The staff are also friendly and would offer their advice on places to go, transport etc. The location is also very close to the main shopping area where there is a mall and many shops selling batik. Also around the area are many roadside food stalls. The bed in the room is really comfy and I have no problems falling sound asleep every night. As it is away from the main street, there are also no excessive vehicle noises. If you have to wake up early and leave the hotel before 7.30am (when they start serving breakfast), be prepared to take your own instead as they don't cater to orders before this time. An overall pleasant and comfortable stay.
