We stayed in room 15 right at the top floor, the carpet between the two rooms was soaking wet. The carpet it nailed and screwed down and if you have barefeet it hurts. The mattress on one of the bets had a spring sticking out at the very bottom if you sat there it was sticking in you. The shower pressure is terrible. The curtains had what looked like a cigarette burn hole in them and half hanging off the rail. The only good this was that it was a sea view room

We didn’t stay. Lasted 15 mins.
It was dirty. Really dirty.
Mattress was just spring.
Had a big wet patch in the carpet.
Smelt musty.
Carpet was stapled together like odd ends of carpet.
Light fittings hanging off.
Couldn’t even give it 1/10 it was really bad.

Absolutely filthy. Hairs on the bed. No soap in towel. Stains on the walls and beds. Filthy carpet. I wish i could give minus stars. Dont know how these property still allowed for guests to stay in. Avoid it at all cost. Booked with breakfast but didn't eat there because don't want to get ill

Wasn’t really the most clean hotel we have stayed in Blackpool, towels was dirty, window ledge full of dust, bathroom looked like it hasn’t been touched for a while.

Avoid unless your crazy or very very desperate. Didnt read reviews before booking and couldn't afford to walk away on arrival and stay elsewhere. The pics of property are correct but most of the community areas is storage for crap, our room smelt and wasnt as clean as it should be. We are glad we took our own towls,I had to fix curtains so people couldn't see inside while my wife was changing. The carpet was patch work and nailed down so pain full if you need toilet in night and forgotten your slippers.the mattress on the bed was as old as Blackpool tower and felt horrible to sleep on. The breakfast comes with its own health warning very undercooked eggs, hashbrowns not cooked, out of date jam, the glasses on the tables were filthy not just on our table but on all the tables.

The filthiest hotel i have ever been too. I walked straight back out and booked another hotel

As its under new ownership they're finding their feet, needs a bit of life breathing into the place. Needs new toilet seats and shower heads and a lick of paint. VJ was very helpful and accommodating, he even bought pizza for the kids. I would happily stay again in the future, perfectly situated opposite south pier

I would not recommend a stay here the location is about the only thing it has going for it. The place is filthy, outdated the king size bed I booked turned out to be a very small double with two divans put together sideways and a mattress that didn’t even fit, very smelly and dirty and unable to use the shower as it was warm only two that was working and too hot. We weren’t given any towels and when we asked for some were given dirty towels with feaces on them.

This property shoukd not be able to be sold to families. I did not sleep in this property with my family as is felt unclean and did not meet any standards fit for a family to stay in. This should be downgraded on the site. It is falsely advertised as family accommodation. There was doot habdles falljmg off..sticly floors...it is above an Indian cuisine entrance. This property is a disgrace to the OYO chain and is a disgrace to be represented by Expedia.

I was ok i was left alone which is what I wanted . Room was small but can't argue with what I paid. The room was clean bed was clean the tv was as old as noa's ark but it worked well. To be honest for what i paid i can't knock it . I will stay there again next time im in Blackpool.

A little hard to find as the name of the hotel is ‘Hawkes Hotel’ with a small sticker in the window saying ‘Dora’
A gentleman answered the door after a short while and gave us codes for the rooms and showed us how to use the locks, he was helpful. The place was a little dark and disheveled but for the price I wasn’t too surprised. The room was very much the same. Giant tv resting on top of a small wardrobe, fixtures not quite right. Toilet still grubby. The towels did seem clean, but the bed did not. There were hairs and a strange musty smell.. I ended sleeping on top of a towel and using my clothes as a blanket. I then read reviews and realised this is very much a thing at this ‘hotel’
I didn’t stay for breakfast so personally cannot comment on that.
Price wise it was fairly cheap- considering it included breakfast but it seems so many would not dare eat here .. but for the same price another hotel was offering the same and had excellent reviews. I was in a rush and saw a rating of 6.8 and ‘good’ on hotels.com so trusted that. Never again! If you are desperate and need a place to crash for the night it’ll do.

The hotel is in very poor condition, very cold as our radiators didn't work and it was below freezing, there was a few issues however glad we only had 1 night there.
The beds are smaller than in ads, they were doubles not king size that we booked.
Not worth the price.

The hotel appeared to have two names so took us a while to find the small sign in the window that identified it as The Dora. The gentleman who booked us in was very helpful, even allowing us to park at the back of the hotel. As for the room, it was clean, the bed had been nailed together to prevent it falling apart, the mattress was uncomfortable to say the least and the pillows may as well not have been there. It was the first night of the year with sub zero temperatures and the room was freezing with the thinnest duvet I’ve ever seen. I did not risk a shower as I’d not brought my own towels and the ones provided looked threadbear and older than the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price and served from 0900, there was cereal and toast available, the butter was mouldy and when asked for some more I was brought a block of butter from the kitchen which I declined. With my family there were 7 of us for breakfast and they did not cope well, the bacon and hash browns were very over cooked to the point of being inedible. Overall having booked the cheapest hotel in the area I guess I got what I paid for.

DO NOT BOOK It!!!
This hotel was honestly the worst place I have ever stayed in my life.
It was old, dirty, smelled and we felt awful the whole night.
People were making noises all through the night, the tv was placed at an angle on top of the wardrobe, it only had 1 channel and the remote didn’t work.
Breakfast was included, but we got out as quick as we could in the morning, and had breakfast elsewhere.
I wouldn’t normally give a bad review, but please don’t waste your money here, it’s absolutely terrible!!!

Excellent location just by the South Pier, cooked breakfast in the morning, and really accommodating staff - definitely nice touch.

This place is a dumpster fire. I see there are reviews on her recently giving it 8/10: they are fake. No sheets on the beds, bins still full of rubbish, warped mattresses and the 'bar' hasn't been used in years. Also, when we got in the rooms the towels were damp. We asked for replacements and were given them. They were also damp.
I'm all for budget accommodation, but knowing what I know now, I wouldn't let a dog sleep in here (there actually is a dog that lives there). We spoke with others who were staying there: they were as equally appalled as we were. Oh, and one of our rooms had a key, they other a key pad. To help us remember the security code, the guy let me photograph the screen on his phone which contained the codes for 9 other rooms, so that was a nice touch.
Great location for south pier but unless you only have the physical capacity to walk 400m a day, stay anywhere else. Your car would be a better option, for example.

Typical blackpool hotel this could be a greatvplace with some investement and a cleanup the location as we were visiting the pleasure beach was superb it also wasnt too noisy and the landlord was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with we were given a fan due tonthe heat over the weekend and offered a second cooling unit if required given a space to park vith vehicle's too which is a huge plus for the location overalln8d stay again 😀

We booked for 2 adults and a child just for one night, the room and hotel was adequate for an over night stay, any thing longer i wouldnt of been happy as the room was very small.. the bar and lounge area was not open, when i come to blackpool for a couple of nights i like to have the bar facillities

I had booked a room with a double and single beds for myself and two friends. We were given a single and bunk beds. As we complained(we wouldn’t use a top bunk in our 50s) we were given a room that was unoccupied, this was helpful but meant one of us staying alone. The rooms and bedding was dirty, toilets in both rooms didn’t flush and dirty drown inside. Bins were full from last visitors. Curtains were not hung, ripped down, all furniture I usable, missing draw fronts ect. The smoke alarms had been removed in rooms 9 and 11 where we were, leaving only the back of the alarm attached to the ceiling. The mattresses were all very old and had no support, you couldn’t turn over due to the springs. I’m glad we were booked for only one night. The hotel is on trip advisor under a different name to avoid Hawkes hotel and Dora hotel to avoid the poor reviews.

This hotel looks nothing like the photos. There is no bar or pool table. Its a former indian restaurant. The rooms were very run down and very dirty. The staff were very scruffy looking and also did not engage with us. The whole experience was just awful. We and another couple checked out as soon as we checked in.

After driving around trying to find the hotel we realised that the name on the front was different and had been changed to Hawkes Hotel and Indian restaurant.
On entering the property we were greeted with a very dated and tired interior and the bar from the picture was closed off.
We were given the keys to the top floor room which turned out to be a family 2 bedroom with two double beds one with a bunk bead overhead.
The room was clean but it looked very tired and the bedding was mix match of different shades as was the 3 different carpets.
We were going to a concert that night so decided it would do as it was only somewhere to sleep.
He advised us that they were renovating the hotel room by room and we were the only guests that night.
Hopefully the owner can make some good improvements as he did look like he was trying to get things done.

No air con the room was like an oven even though it had a fan on all day when we was there the room was tiny there was women knickers in the bin in the bathroom there was mould in the shower and the ladder for bunk beds was broken

I was really disappointed the add said pool table and bar and no pool table bar was shut. the room was a desent size but mold on back of curtains plus they were nailed up shower was dirty and rubbish, heat was ok but trickled out. breakfast was unedable although the lady did try she hadnt used cooker before kids left hungry no cereal either no tea or coffee offered with it but she did run out get us juice. the lady who ran it was lovely and tryed to accommodate us i felt bad for her as she didnt have help or much clue of what she was doing. noisey outside by drunk locals that was calling for her made me feel abit unsafe as looked dodgy and i had 3 kids with me. definitely not worth the money and definitely would not stay there again needs alot of work done to it out dated and needs a lick of paint in rooms nicer bedding new curtains and modernisation.shame really as good location and lovely people.

We booked at 1pm, family room. We arrived around 5.30pm. On arrival our booking wasn't found, so our room wasn't ready for us so where asked to come back in half a hour and it would be ready, Received a text about a hour later to inform that the room was now ready, Room itself was fine for what we paid, great location and great view from our room. Wasn't a hairdryer or ironing facilities in the room, unsure if these would have been available if we had asked, so worth checking this before you stay, didn't matter to us as we were just getting up and heading home and I had my own hairdryer with me. There was a microwave in the room, a toaster would have been an advantage for anyone staying longer, no tea bags either just coffee.
An overall pleasant enough stay.

Nice place, good location. We had a 5 berth room. As usual in these types of accomodation as many beds as possible are installed leaving little room for circulation. I would suggest a sofa bed in the room with the sea view and change to memory foam mattresses instead of sprung as we were kept awake by squeaky springs. Overall could be a gem with some work and investment.
