An enjoyable stay. We stayed in a superior room with balcony which was lovely. On street parking is plentiful if you're leaving early for ferry. Free parking is provided by the hotel but this proved challenging. There was limited/no space. Had to call reception for help which in fairness they provided.

Very nice hotel

Nice hotel but the small details matter. Clocks hadn’t been changed in the room a week after they changed so my wife rushed for breakfast unnecessarily thinking we might miss it. The bathroom had a slightly unpleasant smell. The lamp on the desk didn’t work. There were no spare towels in the wardrobe despite it saying there were in the welcome letter. Nice hotel with nice staff but lacks that quality and attention to detail to be great

We were travelling for a funeral and the staff at the hotel were super accomodating. The hotel building has vintage charm, whilst inside is modern, clean and comfortable. The only thing I could suggested would be more vegan options.

Was a lovely place to stay at apart from the construction that happens to be from 7am until 7pm beneath our room wasn’t warned about this. I had a year old baby with us so he wasn’t to happy with the noise

The hotel is lovely! It’s well kept for a very old hotel. (Lift can take ages)
The staffs are lovely and made sure guests enjoyed their stays.
There are some things I wish I was informed before booking.
Such as parking, while the hotel has parking. It does not specify that you need to book a space as there are only a total of 15 spaces which is not a lot at all. And this is booked by the spa and hotel individuals. Causing us to pay additional for a car park. This should be addressed as we witness staffs face abuse from customers over this. When it is not staff fault. And I could have booked a space for myself 4 months prior to the check in date.
The spa facilities is lovely, but the word “spa pool” is misleading. As it was just a hot tub.

Brilliant hotel, great room, lovely staff, especially Jerel the waiter in the restaurant. He was very friendly, polite and attentive.

Spa was good. Restaurant food okay but quite pricey. Car park limited but not stated in the advert. Overall a good hotel and nice staff.

Lovely location. Directly at the seafront. Good shops around. Lovely staff and people.
However small rooms and limited food options on the menu at the hotel restaurant

The rooms, in the same category, are very different in size. Be specific when booking and talk to the reception. The refurbished rooms are nice. The location in Dover is perfect. The hotel breathes history. The staff is excellent.

Quiet room . Few tight corridors and stair cases . It did exactly what I needed as it’s only 5 minutes from the ferry port

The room was spacious & newly renovated. We extended a night & the front office managed to keep us in the same room. Thank you

I had booked through Hotels.com. My plans changed and had to leave two days early. I asked the front desk and said that since it was booked through Hotels.com, I needed their OK to receive a refund. I got the OK from Hotels.com who confirmed it at the front desk. When I asked to process the refund, the front desk was busy and I was asked to do it later that evening. They never let me know and after several attempts, they said it turns our they were not able to issue a refund of two nights. That's just bad business, especially after staying there for almost two weeks. There are other hotels on the water. Same view and half the price.

No hot water in bathroom , requested to change room but being told the whole building has no hot water, found out it was a lie only a few rooms have the problem. It was not fixed when checked out, the management has no intention to solve the problem, no follow up, very disappointed !

Very attractive, clean, tasty breakfast, helpful staff and easy parking

Our 'Superior Room' was a lot smaller than what the photos showed. They hardly have room to put your suitcase. The bathroom is tidy and modern and breakfast is average. There is a very good espresso machine in the room

Lovely room and breakfast

Room quite small but well equipped and recently refurbished. Staff very friendly. The lift is hopeless, only one lift and far too small! The hotel car park was full, but there was parking on the street outside, though there is a charge for this from 8AM to 6 PM , 7 days a week.
The hotel building is impressive, and you can watch the ferries. Very smart bar and restaurant. We stayed here to get an early ferry, but it’s let down by the lift and the parking, so would probably not stay again.

Nice hotel in a good location on the seafront. Good bar with plenty of outside seating.
Unfortunately we had a room right next to the lift so we had a disturbed night's sleep. Also the service in the restaurant wasn't very good, but if we'd had a different room i think we would have enjoyed our stay.

The marina is a nice area to start the holiday

Beautiful. Lovely Spa. Close to City Center. Due to a building site at the back the parking is a bit reduced. Did not have space for us but were alright with parking in the back road, as it was a weekend stay. Breakfast expensive but lovely especially when you get a window seated table with the stunning view. Loved the stay, been there twice and would always book again.

It did a job but the value for money was not there for me. The room was not as pictured. The staff were extremely friendly though.

Great location to see Dover and the sea. Hotel has a lively atmosphere.
However, it was difficult to sleep, the bed was uneven and you can hear everything from the corridor, as a result, didn't manage to sleep more than a few hours. Also, loud pigeons early in the morning.

Room very clean, but the parking for customers has little bit confused. No sign on floor which parking lots is for customers, so I drove in front of Hotel, The parking in front of hotel is free of charge between 6:00pm to 8:00am, but we need drive away at next day morning to Hotel parking lots if you are not go out early, but the hotel parking was full on my day. Just little inconvenience for me about this.
