Definitely could use some maintenance. Water pours on the floor while taking a shower. Paint is peeling/missing in places.

Great , Quiet and out of the busyness of Centro. Learning the bus route will save you money on taxis. Great place To stay.

Everyone who works there was wonderful! Even when we arrived much later than we were supposed to due to flight delays etc. They take so much pride in their resort. Everyone was warm and friendly and so accomodating. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms were cleaned every day, lots of water pressure and the microwaves and minifridge were very handy.Dont expect ultra modern rooms, this is a more authentic, homey resort.Cant wait to go back!

This was a very quiet and well-run place. The staff are great and as it is away from Centro it is good for walking. Lots of restaurants in the area but don’t expect shops (except corner grocery nearby). Maybe add tea or decaf coffee to breakfast choices was only suggestion I have.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and charming, rooms were clean. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. Staff all were polite and helpful. Pool was nice even though we didn't use it much. Definitely recommend this place!

Great location close to the Borracho Burro, The Joint, and Garrafon for snorkeling. Punta Sur is a short walk. Great value and love the staff.

Very nice quiet hotel. A bit hard to find the first time Staff was so nice and friendly. Extremely helpful with golf carts which I definitely recommend if you’re staying there. Overall very nice and I would definitely stay again.

We recently spent 8 days at Villas Coco Resort and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly. The resort was very clean and the breakfast was great. This is a very quiet section of the island but within walking distance of a number of great eateries and Punta Sur. Getting to the North beaches is easily accessible either by the local buses or golf cart. It is very busy in the North, so we actually enjoyed where we were but we're older and retired.

My husband and I went with another copy for a short trip. We have been coming to the island for 30 years, so we are familiar with the island. Coco Resort is very quiet adults only resort. The rooms were very spacious, AC worked great, beds were comfortable. The common area is where most of the other guest would hang in the evening, so that gave us the opportunity to meet several other people…

Awesome place with great hospitality!!

Lovely little place with the friendliest staff. Rooms were spotless and modern and housekeeping attended regularly. The pool is great. Several dining options close by including El Burracho Burro and Rancho Capricho (best tacos ever!). We used the bus system and had no problem getting around the island. A special touch here is the excellent breakfast of fruit and toast daily. We spent 2 weeks here and totally enjoyed it

It's exactly what it says it is, and that isn't a bad thing.
Clean, quiet.
Remote location, you need transportation. Rent a golf cart.

It was nice and quiet. La Jolla restaurant close by. Gives a beautiful ocean view with your meal and you can also Snorkel there. The only negative thing about this property was the Wi-Fi was weak. However everything else was very nice. We definitely want to stay again.

We arrived early. Jorge did not greet us or really look us when we were speaking. He just told us ’check in time is at 3pm’. We knew this, but at least he could have offered to leave our luggage at the reception. Had to ask for it. Then just seconds after he said ’we can get your room ready, but you should tip me’. After leaving a tip, we got our room in about 20 minutes. It was nice to get a room earlier, but did not appreciate his attitude and lack of customer service.Room was located on 2nd floor. Room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking a backyard. Not really a view, but it was quiet location. Bed was hard as a rock. Could feel bed springs. Did not sleep well for 4 nights we stayed there. There was just a sheet and light blanket, no duvet. It was a bit cold at night even when we turned AC up. Bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub which we did not use, but shower water pressure was great. There was a huge microwave in room and coffee maker, but only 2 cups and 1 spoon. No plates or glasses. They offered 2 free bottles of water per day. Fridge was nice addition. There was no hair dryer in room. You had to ask for it at reception. In room safe. No table in room or on a balcony. There were 2 chairs on a balcony. Pool was small. Did not see it cleaned. Rooftop, jacuzzi is not in use and there is nothing else there. Very small sea view, hardly can see it. Breakfast was fruit, toast, coffee (no tea). Customer service is poor! Quiet location. Near Punta Sur.

Awesome for the Cost. It is not a 5 star place but very clean, staff was great, and its a quiet place to relax. We love the south end of the Isla but realize it is quiet and spread out.
Drawbacks-
-there are a handful of restaurants within walking distance but most close by 8pm
I would recommend a Golf Cart for your stay made exploring the island and checking out other restaurants much easier and more fun.

We had stayed at an expensive large hotel the last 2 visits. We wanted to try a more budget friendly option. This place is VERY quiet. The rooms were impeccable on cleanliness. There are only 18 rooms available and no kids allowed. Breakfast is fruit and toast. We didn't have any issue with that. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our shower had good water pressure and was hot. Beds are comfortable. Ceiling fan and AC kept the room comfortable. The only item I would change - there aren't towels to take to the beach or pool. We stopped to purchase towels for this purpose.

This is a lovely place. The courtyard is beautiful and clean. The flora and fauna is lovely. The pool was always clean. The staff were friendly and very happy to help. Breakfast in the morning consists of a full plate of fruit, toast, coffee and juice. It was the perfect start of the day. A taxi from the ferry to this location is 150 pesos. From this location we walked to Punta Sur, Mango Cafe, and several of the restaurants in the area.

We enjoyed this property. It is away from Centro so usually quieter. The main issue is the proximity to the Burro Restaurant which plays loud 80s music from noon on. We recommend a golf cart for getting around, bring ear plugs for many of the restaurants on the island. You can enjoy a quiet morning on the property then head out to nearby Garrafon de Castilla or to one of the other beaches for a generally quieter time. The maid service was excellent; there's a great continental breakfast that is served to you in a common area. Our room had a small microwave and small refrigerator. Chedraui (a mini-Walmart) is not too far by cart - you can stock up on large bottled water, additional breakfast/lunch microwave Popcorn supplies there and use the fridge/microwave to save your travel time to splurge on dinners at places like La Lomita (mole!), Mahache, or Grill Garden on the North part of the island. The only issues to be aware of is this is one of the properties that doesn't permit paper in the toilet and the tub/shower can be a challenge and a bit slippery to get in/out of.
Isla Mujeres in general: watch your exchange rate. We use the ATM at Banamex (a block East of Senor Frog's) for the lowest fees, Fidelity debit / CCs have no foreign transaction fees now. At the time we went the exchange rate was 18 pesos/ dollar; some restaurants were 14 pesos/dollar. Avoid buying anything at the Cancun airport, if at all possible. Two burgers a fry a bottled water is $35US.

Nice. Quiet. Clean. Perfect if your looking for a quiet, price friendly option. We have stayed here twice. Both were very good experiences.

The property, staff and room were all very good. Due to it being low season nothing was open at the hotel. No restaurant or food or bar available on the property. Nothing near by after 9pm for dining.

The place does its job but does not justify the price. I found a way nicer property for same amount. The front desk clerk Luis was very attentive, friendly and very helpful.

Had a great time staying here two nights. It’s in the low key south part of the island, walking distance to a nice uncrowded beach on the Caribbean side. Caught two great sunrises.
Breakfast is a fresh fruit plate, coffee, and toast, so you might wanna buy some milk and granola or oatmeal as a supplement.
Nice staff, chill pool area. I’d stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our stay. We were able to rent a golf cart from the front desk for a great price. The staff was awesome and made our stay stress free. The fresh fruit plate for breakfast was great. We was on our 5 year anniversary and decided to try and come back each year due to the cost which is very affordable. I am writing this review almost a year later because I was searching for the resort to book it again for mid April 2023 and realized I forgot to leave my review. Looking forward to staying there again.

within the walls, the property was beautiful and well-kept. outside the walls, seemed unsafe, dark and unkept. we had to leave each day for meals.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The staff at check in greated us with a smile and ordered us pizza after a very long day of travel. Our rooms were so clean, we wouldnt find a spec of dirt if we tried. Breakfast was simple - toast and fruit, but always fresh and arranged picture perfectly. The best drinks on the island are served by Carlos and Jorge! They handcraft every cocktail and i could not get enough of their margaritas!!! Try the Banana Daiquiri and the Bloody Mary as well! The staff was super friendly and very helpful and will help in whatever way they can! I cannot say enough positive things about Jorge. He treated us like family and we cannot wait to come back! Of all the places i have stayed on the island, I will be back to Villas Coco!
Thanks for such a great week!!

Very clean, friendly staff, pleasant stay. Pictures are as shown. A little updating could be done. Good value for the price. Was on the quieter side of the island. So if you want to go to town it’s a lot of taxi rides. Usually 150-200 pesos.

I like the pool and the landscape also it provided a continental breakfast
