The hotel room is fairly good --- large and well-equipped. though the faucet of the sink does not work well.
The only problem of the hotel is that it doesn't have any lifts. The upper floor you stay, the harder you do with your suitcases. Wonderful service is that the front desk clerk brings a suitcase up to your room, maybe depending on the gest age and sex.
Overall this hotel is reasonable for its price.

No elevator and 24 hrs front desk

Ok hotel that is dated but slightly upgraded with very large family room which was great. My biggest complaint is the street noise. Friday and Saturday nights are not good here - way too much noise from parties and clubs I guess until all hours of the night. Also a couple adult shops nearby.

Beautiful large room with amazing view. Handy to the city centre and good restaurants and cafes nearby

Stay was overall good; very large twin room with queen beds, balcony, roomy bathroom, lots of hot water in shower.
Negatives; room was very cold in Winter (June), and air-con unit blew tepid air. Uncomfortably cold overnight and no extra/spare doonahs or blankets.

Great place to stay

Area was great and the staff were amazing. The room was inconvenient though. No hooks in the bathroom. Walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbors and ppl in the hall.

Ridiculous amount of mould and dirt in the showe and in the tiles around the toilet. It felt extremely unhygienic, it hadn’t been cleaned properly if at all in many months.
Kettle was covered in dust and had black bits coming off the bottom into my hot drinks.
I did ask for another one and it was replaced.
Bed and linen was fine. Table tops and carpet also fine.

Service was excellent. Room was clean and spacious. Building was under construction.

I stayed in this hotel for 9 days. Hotel was taken care very well. Clean and big room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Perfect location and nice staffs. Also there are lots of nice restaurants are near this hotel. Just one thing, this hotel doesn't have a lift. I had two big luggages and I had to move them myself. However I highly recommend this hotel.

I no you pay for what you get, but this was bad. No parking, rats in the street.Bust Main Street, constant road noise, beds where like sleeping on a brick. Room was a good size, but would not stay again

Stayed in this hotel expecting it to be similar to the photos displayed on website. This was not the case. The room was very small and very crammed. The facilities were not up to a decent standard the whole
Room needs to be renovated and cleaned thoroughly. The quality of sleep we got was very poor due to pipes in the room banging and the air conditioning system making extreme noise when on. Overall very disappointed with the room and hindered the experience of Sydney .

Very good value by way of comparison to other hotels nearby

This hotel was a hidden gem in sydney. Easy to get around. And right in the heart of sydney's alternative culture scene. At the top floor which was extremely private with a great view but had to climb Three flights of stairs, But so worth it.

A nice and tidy room for an affordable price. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Quiet place in the city center.

What a great find! For a family of 4, the room was spacious and clean. Super easy to get around the city with bus stop within meters of the hotel.

Location location spacecious room hit water all the time
It needs some TLC in some areas and is not an elevator but overall it was a huge room

The stairs were dirty n smelly. Bathroom had a bad smell n tiles in the shower had mould. Lounge was too stained to even sit on. I wouldn't ever stay there again.

Interesting location

It was ok for a cheap hotel except the shower. No exhaust fan has left the bathroom roof covered in black mould and the paint peeling off. The shower itself was also very dirty. It didn’t look like it had ever had been scrubbed clean. The walls and windows are thin so you can hear every noise around the building from people coming up the stairs, to people talking in the street below. Not a problem if you’re a heavy sleeper.

Great place in the heart of Oxford st. Pincode entry only feedback was the shower. Took a long time to find ideal temperature. 5 stars though

I think the whole area will be torn down very soon for new structures. Hotel is like a Hostel. Bare minimum care for building. Steep stairs. No elevator. However, if you are just looking to have a bed, & hot & cold water. This is the place for the price.

The instructions to check in after hours were easy to follow. There was a distinct odour when we walked in, which was not pleasant.
Must have had a run on the wrong side as it was very noisy on the street and couldn't close the window. It was ok for a few hours sleep as we checked in late and left early.

The room was dirty, sheets were stained, something in the bed made us itchy, shower was mouldy, ironing board didn't work, the walls were very thin & all could be heard from neighbours, same with hearing others using the timber stairs as there are no lifts. The tv remote could only be operated from 1 metre away, poor lighting, only 2 X 20ml UHT milk for coffee / tea. There are no face towels, hand towels or shower gel / shampoo but they did have one small bar of soap.
The reception desk is supposed to be open from 10am to 5pm but when we arrived at 3pm there was a sign saying back in 10 minutes. I tried ringing the hotel after 15 minutes but no answer. Also no response when we left a voice mail 3 days prior asking about luggage storage, and no reply to our email asking the same. As it turns out, they do store luggage in the office, but when we arrived and the office was unattended anyone could have grabbed the bags there.
Outside of the hours of 10am to 5pm you used a code to access the main entrance in, but we noticed that the self closer on the door doesn't work properly and the door didn't lock behind us without pushing it closed.
Location was good though, and they had extra rolls of good quality toilet paper so there were a couple of 's.

Carpets need shampooing. Musty urine type smell.

the location is great, limited parking is an issue, the decor is lovely however the property appears client unfriendly as there are no lifts so accessibility is a issue......

Loved it

Friendly staff, easy to get to different locations. It needs little thinks like more plugs to charge phones etc, hooks to hang wet towels, hand towels, shower trays to place soap etc.

Very convenient

It's a walk-up building so take that into account. It's written in the description so you can't say you didn't know. It's handy for the eastern suburbs and the city. My room was facing Oxford street so a lot of traffic noise. The room was tiny. A nice bathroom but the shower had no shelving for soap or anything else, it all had to go on the floor. The power sockets were in weird locations also and the room could use a clock. The TV set-up was hard to understand.

All good no complaints!

Really great place for the money

Really needed a clean. Orange scum and mould in shower. Bit of bleach/jif some elbow grease is all that would take.
Good location, but noisy. Depends on what you are there for I guess.
6.0
Walking distance to the metro/subway. Eateries all around the area. The room wasn't in the best condition. Carpet has patches coming off the floor. Torn curtains. Shower water pressure wasn't strong. Cockroaches roaming in the room. Dusty room.
