This is a great place located right at the train station in Ollantaytambo, you would think it would be noisy but rooms are set back in a quiet tropical garden setting with farmland just outside the gate. Fantastic staff, clean rooms. Amazing food in the restaurant, short walk to the main square.

Beautiful hotel, Chaska the hotel pet is cute

It's a great hotel with beautiful gardens. The food is grown on their farm on the same property so is good and healthy. You can take a short cut to the archeological site on the path that also takes you to their farm. I liked the location. I was concerned with being right at the train ststion, but we didn't hear the trains.

Very convenient. Super clean. If going to Machupicchu form Ollantaytambo or doing el Camino Del Inka. Stay here.

This is my second stay at El Aubergue and it never disappoints! Lovely ecofriendly hotel with on site farm to table restaurant and coffee shop directly adjacent to the train to Machu Picchu. Don’t miss the tour of the on site farm! Also, the owner has crafted an elegant and culturally respectful environment that even includes a primary school on the property for children in Ollantaytambo!

Great hotel convinently located right to train station where you can catch train to matchu pichu. Hotel personnel are super nice. You do not hear much of a train noise as rooms face inside courtyard. Restaurant is perfect. Better than in the city

It was a lovely place right at the train station. Our room was in the main building unfortunately we heard and felt the train.

Place was perfectly located inside the train station. Very clean, quiet, and the flowers in the garden smell so good!! Very ecofriendly!

Hotel is located just in front of Ollantarytambo station and collectivo station is located just next to Peru Rail station.
When I checked in, hotel staff kindly informed me standard taxi fee and collectivo fee to the regional sightseeing spots.
To come to hotel, go to the platform of Peru Rail and the door is right side of the platform.

Wonderful property. Right at the train tracks. Which makes it convenient, but also very crowded, hectic, and chaotic during train arrival times.

Very pleasant hotel with excellent location.

This is a uniquely wonderful hotel situated in Ollantaytambo railway station, it has the most beautiful gardens behind the hotel where the guest rooms are. The inside lobby and restaurant areas are delightful as are all the staff. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with a good size bathroom.
Breakfasts and dinner in the restaurant are excellent.
Highly recommend this unique hotel.

The property and rooms are wonderful! If you are going to Machu Pichu by train, this motel cannot be beat.

Our room was on the 2nd floor with Mountain View, one of the furthest away from the train station. With the windows open on 2 sides of the room, you can smell the fragrant angel trumpet plant. It was stunning. El Albergue also arranged guide service for us including transportation from Cusco airport and four 1/2 days of guided service including Macchu Pichu and train tickets. WELL worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient, clean and staff is super friendly. Restaurant food is bit expensive but good.

Located in the train station, it was great for our arrival late at night from Aguas Calientes. If you are planning to visit Ollantaytambo you will have to walk a bit to hit the town. The property is well maintained, beautiful gardens between the buildings. The room was comfortable and the decoration was colonial style.

Amazing location and the hotel has a lot to offer - it has it’s own distillery where you can mix your own bottle of spirit, a small farm where you can enjoy a traditional pachamanca lunch, coffee roastery and a community education project
The staff were great and made me feel very welcome, and well as giving me some great suggestions for things to do and see nearby

Location within the train station is certainly convenient

Peaceful, setting ambiance.

Really enjoyed our stay! Was so convenient for the train to Macchu Picchu and they organized our tour guide who met us as we got off the train. The farm tour and panchamanca lunch was a highlight! A 10-minute walk to town. Helen was so so wonderful before and during our stay. We would absolutely stay again!

We stayed at El Albergue for one night just before our hike to Inka trail. The hotel itself is fine but the location was the issue. It is located inside the train station and there is no air conditioning or even standing fan in the room. There was no air circulation in the room which made it impossible to sleep. To add to the misery if we open the window in the room, the train siren sound and smoke along with insects entered the room. When tried to approach the staff, they came in just to open the windows in bathroom and mentioned nothing can be done.
Also the hotel did not honor the vip access discount for the stay and the staff was not fully aware of the expedia offering.

El Abergue was a little oasis after a long day of travel. The room, grounds and restaurant were just lovely!

This hotel is beautiful and the staff are so nice and friendly. Helen went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The view is amazing. The Breakfast and dinner were delicious and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

This property was beautiful! The Albergue has wonderful staff and a delicious restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend eating there. The only issue is that it being so close to the train station, it’s very loud and smoky at night. I could not sleep because of the smoke. Seeped into our room even with the doors and windows closed.

This hotel was very convenient if you are taking the train to Machu Picchu since it is actually located inside the train station. They held our bags for us for two days when we were hiking to Machu Picchu. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good.

Nice place. Very good restaurant staff. But on first day the shower handle broke and the water was cold. No room service also.

This hotel is beautiful and has the best view. Breakfast was great. everyone was so nice with the exception of the night front desk lady. She was so rude.
4.0
Our stay was lovely, everyone there was very friendly with the exception of one staff member at the reception when we arrived at the evening shift.
The breakfast people were very attentive, especially Miguel and we loved the Pachamanca experience. It was amazing!!

Great location and friendly staff.

We arrived about 5 pm after visiting machu picchu and did find that having the hotel literally 10 ft from the tracks rather handy as it was chaotic at the train station. We cheked in and were shown our room . Irony. This was the most expensive night of the trip and the horel was mehhh at best. Very rustic for sure. Paid extra for a room viewing the ruins. That was rich...there were no ruins within site. Opened the refrigerstor to find old food left over. The 110 outlet failed to work and after 3 attempts to communicate the problem we were finally given an adaptor. Final gripe....staff here were Not friendly..which was odd as my stay in Peru the last week has been full of wonderful people. Dont think about getting any rest as the trains run late and very early. The only good thing i can report was the breakfast included...nice staff in kitchen.
