No one there no lights on . We were scared and didnt know where to go as visitors to area. Luckilt they showed up at last minute

No frill basic accommodation. Comfy bed, fantastic aircon, dated bathroom which could do with updating. Got the impression this place is a work in progress, which is totally fine as it has so much potential. In order to achieve this they need to get the staffing levels correct and get all services up and running. Pool is a big asset. We enjoyed it and would definitely return. Nothing fancy but a nice retreat away, plus they are pet friendly which was a big bonus!

Good place to host inside it if you're travelling around Vega Baja del Segura localities. Huge swimming pool and awesome bungalows for sleeping in them. The weak point is the high price and not very high quality of the food in the restaurant. Excellent attendance of all staff.

To start, we went to check in and they didn't really speak to us, took us straight to a cabin, had problems with the door code but that was resolved quickly. The room was nice, AC worked well which was appreciated in the heatwave. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, rusty shower holder, but perfectly useable. We stayed for 2 nights, we had lunch here on the 2nd day, food was good and the waitress that was serving us did her best to communicate with us, we don't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English (not that we expected her too). Google translate helped us through. We all enjoyed the pool, it was lovely and warm and big enough for our boys to splash around without bothering anyone. There was no-one around when we checked out, but we did leave at 7:30am.
We went into Torrivieja both evenings, only a 15 minute drive away, which was really handy. Overall a good location and a hotel/venue with huge potential.

The hotel wad closed and in total dakness. We met some guests having a party in front of their room and asked about the reception. They said it was closed and they don't answer the phone until they arrive at 8am. We reserved the other hotel and the night was saved. It is pretty unpleasant to sit on the dark parking lot in front of the closed hotel, with small kids in the car

The accommodation was very basic. Only small amount of soap & no other toiletries supplied . No hair dryer either staff very nice & bought plugs for shower room sink which unfortunately did not fit. One day there wasn’t enough hot water for a shower. Poor signal on TV. Surrounding gardens very nice but appear to have lacked maintenance. Large swimming pool. We had to cut our visit short for family reasons. Doubt if we would stay there again.

Lovely peaceful venue

A fantastic staff who provide the maximum service they can. Clean and neat rooms where you can open the double doors to the balcony, so everyone can be together.
Very good food prepared by the chef and served with a smile and presence by the waiters.
Everyone was very nice to our dog, who was doing incredibly well.

This hotel was closed. It just reopen when we arrived. No professional personnel, just guards, cold, dirty, disgusting. We had to go and find another hotel. We just have been ripped out. We should have knew because this hotel isn't proposed a cancellation procedure

It is a beautiful place so stay: it is in nature. Rooms and other amenities are excellent. You need a car to go to the beach.

We made them aware we wouldn't check in untill 11pm. We were told it's fine. Nobody was there. There was no lighting on the grounds and we struggle to find contact details. It took us over an hour to get in contact and nearly 2hours to get details.
Nobody came to meet us and just what's append me details. It took us a further 20mins to find accommodation and get in.
I was with my elderly parents and 12year old daughter, not a very good experience at all

Beautiful place but not quite as close to the lake as it says on here

The El Rancho is an excellent place to stay.
The staff are freindly and polite.
The room is clean and the log cabin we used is cooled by a air conditioner, which in the hot summer months is most welcome.
The pool is a large size and very clean.
The food is of good quality
All in all a great place to stay. I noticed that there is a sauna and grounds to play bowls. Free onsite parking is also available.

Short break nice pool nice bar/restaurant. Could do with a mini fridge and kettle
1.0
It would be nice to have a small fridge and maybe a kettle as it is classed as a hotel room. Everything else was really nice. Pool was nice. We hadnt realised the boiler was switched off so we had only cold water for a while. We eventually found the switch and switched it on but we feel it could have been left on for us when we checked in. However we booked at last minute and it was 8.30 pm

Nothing as it was all closed up and when people had gone home from playing boules tournament we were the only people there with no facilities whatsoever
2.0
Unfortunately after the storms there are plenty of mosquitoes at El Rancho we were bitten badly, shower head not attached difficult to get showered holding the shower head and it was also very dark when shower curtain across. Facilities very basic. Pool also closed due to the storm for cleaning. Resturant close under new management. Just wasn’t for us.

If you are looking for a tranquil location with an ‘easy going ‘ vibe than this is an excellent place to stay. The staff were friendly , the front of house manager was superb and accommodating :thank you despite our language differences .The cosy wooden cabins are relaxing, the air-conditioning was excellent and, the shower rooms are clean and refreshing. The food was of good quality and tasty. Breakfast options were good. The swimming pool is large and can be used to swim or swimming play in with plenty of space for all. We noticed El Rancho is dog friendly too. There are some areas of restoration happening ( pipe work ? ) but this did not affect our stay at all .To further improve our stay a little fridge and area to hang our clothes would be great in the cabins .

Excellent , great food, staff settings .as described peaceful would have stayed longer if could
