I have stayed at Whispering Palms numerous times. The owner and staff are all great people. The rooms are clean and well kept. The pool is clean and clear and very refreshing.I will continue to stay any time im in town. I travel all over the state and it is one of my favorite places to stay.

All of the staff were extremely nice and accommodating . The rooms were ready and cool when we arrived. The rooms were clean. No stains or burn holes in the bedding. The rooms did not smell like cigarette smoke. It was a very quite place at night even with all the rooms that were rented. I couldn't hear the neighbors at all. Overall it was a great experience and if im ever down in that area again i will for sure be staying there.

I had a multi-night stay in Del Rio, and I decided to try the Whispering Palms because it had good reviews. It met my needs. The only negative was that the air conditioner was pretty good, but not great. I like it really cold when I sleep, and it didn't quite get there. But I realize I like it colder than most people, and it was comfortable enough, so this was at least as much about my personal preferences as the condition of the A/C.
The staff was very friendly, and the owners were, too! Bob and Joty made sure I was having a good stay, and they've got a great dog who loves to get her ears scratched. There's also a bird named Larry in the lobby who is entertaining.
You can buy water or soft drinks in the lobby, and the proceeds go to an orphanage in Acuna, Mexico, that the owners support. I loved that.
I plan to book this hotel again when I am back in Del Rio. Thanks for a great stay!

We were a little concerned about the parking because we had a large truck and trailer. The staff was so accomodating to help us get it situated so we didn't have to park it elsewhere.

I loved that the hotel was run by the owners. They were there to help with any issues I had. They do a good job keeping it clean.

The outdoor pool was moldy and dirty. Since the temperature was about 90 F, we expected the pool to be ready for use. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing since it was just waffles and boiled eggs. However, we would still recommend Whispering Palms but the owners could improve the two issues described above.

Very quiet and safe hotel. The service was great. I recommend it for your visit to Del Rio.

The hotel is located in an area with lots of restaurants. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and gave us a great room. The room was spacious and clean. We weren’t there much but it met our needs perfectly. If we ever go to Del Rio again, we would stay there.

The room was good for the price I paid. The remote control wasn't working properly but I didn't feel like walking over to the office to report it (I did let the front desk know when I checked out). I was given a room right at the base of the stairs and next to the pool, which would have been a problem if the hotel had been busier.

Loved the relaxed mom and pop feel. Had a eclipse party Sunday evening.

We stayed one night for the eclipse. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Everyone looked like they really enjoyed working there which is a real treat to see these days. Everything was very clean and breakfast was good. I would definitely stay again.

I was really hoping to be greeted by a dog but instead there was a young lady dressed sort of inappropriately with some sort of black leather bra and jeans. I thought it was weird but she checked me in and handed me a key. Not much for customer service but the key worked and I got into my room without issue.
I like this place. I'm a huge fan of the entrance, the parking lot and being able to park right in front of my room.
The AC works great, no bed bugs, good cable and wifi and a very firm mattress. Would be nice if the desk had a lamp. The shower needs new tile/grout. Ew! Moldy edges.
Overall, worth the nightly rate. I'd definitely come back.
It appears that the owner really cares about this property and is actively engaged in making it a successful business.

Bob, his wife (I think her name is Guthrie), and the front desk agent Marisa were all amazing. Oh! Can't forget the dog, Zoey who was very friendly and lovely. Excellent customer service. This will probably be my hotel of choice when visiting Del Rio.

This was a quick 1 night stay during a road trip. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Room was a bit small if it's more than 1 person for more than 1 night. The included breakfast was a bit lacking but was fine for 1 day. The price was right and we would definitely stay again if we were passing through the area again.

Friendly staff (and the sweetest doggy at reception), lots of food options nearby, quiet and spacious room. Could use a bit of renovation here and there as it is an older building, but overall nice stay for a nignt.
