I would highly recommend staying at Hostellerie Munten.
We arrived extremely late to check in and was greeted by a lovely lady at reception.
Our room was clean, spacious and had everything that we required.
I explained when we checked in that we would be leaving before breakfast (7am-10am), so when we checked out they had a wonderful breakfast bag put together for us to take.
Exceptional service and will definitely be back.

Nice hotel and I will use it again if I return for a show at the nearby venue in town. The room was fine, clean and had everything one needs for a short stay. The breakfast was a simple European style cold buffet and very tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

A great stay started with a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice size bathroom, comfy chairs in a small separate area. Free water was a nice touch. We loved the choice at breakfast, the bread selection was amazing. Close to the town with many drink and food choices (the hotel food looked superb but we had plans!).

Room was very good size and pet friendly as we had our 2 labs with us. Checking was a little confusing as it is at the bar. Also parking is offsite little tricky, not good for bigger vehicle.staff was very friendly. Did not try breakfast.

We spent one night with our dog in this hotel. Speedy and friendly check-in, and good room with street view. Coffee maker available and a couple of bottles of water. The hotel is located next to the city centre of Weert, and within 5 min walk of a canal with a small yacht harbor. The breakfast was excellent; full english as well as a good variety of other items. However, as we were taking our table, the waitress told us the dog was not allowed. A surprise to us; the hotel small print on hotels.com mentioned 'dogs admitted'. In every other hotel (in Germany and France) our well behaved Labrador had always been welcome. I took the dog back to the room, but questioned the waitress later on. She mentioned this was the policy in the Netherlands and Belgium. I told her about our previous experiences. She told us one of the other guests had complained about the presence of the dog. It would be useful if hotels would clarify clearly what 'dogs admitted' means. It is not at all 'obvious' a dog is not welcome in the breakfast room. European Community rules stipulate dogs should be kept away from areas where food is being processed and handled; whether a dog is allowed in a restaurant, pub etc is up to the manager of the establishment. With clearly stated rules our breakfast incident would have been avoided.

My friend and I were staying in Weert as our friends were appearing at the Munt Theatre. Saturday was fine. At check-in by a nice waiter we'd been given a key card and told this was for night entrance use after 11pm, due to the restaurant and bars closed. This was to stop guests from helping themselves to drink from the bar! He also said the restaurant would be closed on Sunday. This was not a problem as the hotel boasted a cafe + lounge/bar for residents and we felt this would be sufficient. We just didn't realise the implications of his casual statement. He kindly took my case to our room, which was not large - but very clean. When we got back from the theatre, we used the key card but found the lift was closed off, which meant using a steep spiral staircase. Not good if you have knee problems, as I do. Slept well - and on Sunday, after a good breakfast, we went out to explore. We'd just got back in and the cleaner arrived, so I asked the waiter if we would use the gardens/lounge - he said no, we'd have to go to the park!! On our return, the hotel was completely empty and closed. We had no access to anything, except our room, and a number to ring for assistance. We now knew why we had a kettle in the room! Later on, we went out to eat, but when we returned we were locked out of the hotel! The key card didn't work! We pressed an intercom and after 10 minutes a young lady came and let us in. Dreadful experience - we felt vulnerable (health and safety?) and abandoned!
