Nice room. Smelled odd, but not bad. It was a nice place to stay for the night.

Staff was great. Place was clean. Bed squeaked so badly every time we moved in bed we woke each other up.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!
4.0
Fabulous place, accommodations and staff. There was a musty odor that carried from the outside into the rooms. . We believe the cause is the outdoor carpeting.

The person who checked me in had a great sense of humor and great customer service.

Nice place for a short getaway or overnight rest stop. Recommended

Located near everything we wanted to see and do. Price was very reasonable.

We stayed in cabin #1 very clean ,very quiet and outfitted with a full kitchen. My only disapointment was we paid in full when we booked and upon arrival we were told housekeeping had a extra fee. And that it would be a additional $35. A night for my dog. Other than that unexpected expense motel was nice

It was a good stay. Very nice people and very clean
Great location. The only issue i had was the bed was really firm, which was a bit uncomfortable for me. Otherwise everything was good.

Quite and very comfortable

A much nicer property than I expected for the price. Very large, clean room. Everything worked. Very pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. Only bad mark was housekeeping didn't visit the room, we had to go ask for fresh towels and toilet paper.

I feel bad that I couldn't give it a better review. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled awful like someone had been smoking in there. We found someone else's sock on the chair, the decorative pillows were ripped and one had a broken zipper. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice, but there was a large divit in the bathroon wall.

From the minute we pulled in, it was hard not to notice the manicured lawn. Check in was very easy and the staff was so kind.
Then to the room we went. The linen was so white, the room was so clean and the following day when we decided another night was in need, the staff was helpful in allowing us the chance to get the lowest rates. When we asked we got. Towels, coffee, toiletries
I would definitely stay there again. Not to mention, just down the road a few miles or so, the quaint town of ossipee. Great food and little shops. Overall, i give it a 9 or if 10.

We've been travelling across USA for 2 months on a road trip. This was the most awesome place we have stayed. Thank you so much. Quiet, very clean, spacious, excellent location, comfortable beds, wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely spread the word to family and friends in both USA and NZ.

I took a chance on this place, booking online kind of last minute for an end-of- summer quick getaway. Because I travel with dogs, my choices are sometimes more limited, but overall, am usually happy with the places I stay in. My last trip was pre covid in 2019, and was a wonderful trip.
My thoughts about the Anchor Inn, first time/ last time, staying there:
Although hardly any guests, groups of people were aimlessly wandering around perimeter of property. Felt unsafe overall-no deadbolts on only door of tiny cottage....dogs/I startled awake several times after falling asleep, before deciding to wedge furniture against the door(!)( I literally NEVER have done this before, and travel frequently). I was given the dog-friendly accomodations , which is usually fine...but this place had filthy carpet (smelled like dog pee)....no receipts or copies of policies, very expensive, given the quality of the place / extra 35$ fee per dog upon check-in ...additionally, and sadly, many of the restaurants/diners/cafes along route 1in this location (between Ogunquit and Wells) that I remember, were either closed permanently, or had very limited hours.
There are so many other wonderful properties in the area...this is one to avoid!!!

The room met our needs for 1 night. The room had an odor to it. Couldn’t tell exactly what it was causing the odor.

staff was super friendly and no crazy neighbors. it was calm and peaceful stay

Clean rooms, convenient location.

Bed was very comfortable. Property was calm. Interiors are updated; new flooring (the vinyl that feels like hardwood). Property still uses physical KEYS for room locks, and the doors don't automatically close and lock. Parking that was close to the room tended to fill up very quickly. Wifi had to keep getting re-connected through the captive portal; seemed a tad slow. The "freezer" in the mini fridge did not actually keep things frozen.

Had a great time! Was a clean and convenient hotel with a nice pool for the kids!
2.0
The property was well kept and quiet. Our room was clean however there was a musty odor that never went away during our two nights. There were enough clean towels and the bedding was fresh and clean. The room seemed a bit on the worn side with several scratches and dings around the door and refrigerator cabinet. There was a bit of paint peeling in the bathroom with some dark stains in the grout of the tub, the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The location is quite convenient, about a 5 minute drive to the beach and many restaurants or shops within the same distance.

Room was comfortable.
Staff were very nice.
Bathroom was clean. Comforter was clean white but had a dark brown stain when pulled back.
Wifi would not work at all & could not get phone service unless walked to the parking lot. Overall not worth the $ paid to stay there.

The smoke alarm was beeping every minute from 12 midnight until we checked out at 9:30 am

Pretty good hotel for the price. Don’t expect very high quality and perfect rooms, but for a couple of night during high season it’s great. Pool was great. Wi-Fi not so much. Room service was great. Reception average.

Check in was easy, the price was on point, the room was very clean, the location was convenient for everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again

Good location, very clean and spacious room, carpet a little old looking. The room smelled of weed and/or pets. I suggest they professionally clean the carpets and air out the rooms. Overall a comfortable stay. I’d stay there again.

Very decent motel in convenient location. Basic accommodations but everything was clean; could use a few updates. Nice pool. Good cafe across the busy road.

The location offered close access to Ogunquit and Wells sites, including the wedding we attended at Laudholm Farm. Rooms were clean and featured refrigerators, microwave, and coffee maker

The wifi doesn't work

Stayed here after attending an event at the restaurant directly across the street. Check in was fast and easy, room was very clean, water pressure in the shower excellent, bed comfy. Super close to Dunks for morning coffee. Didn’t stay for the beach because of the rain. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We didn’t really have any expectations other than a clean room. We were surprised by how beautiful the site was. There are mature trees and the lawn is mostly grass (other than the parking lot). Most of the buildings are far from the road so it’s very quiet. The location is also super convenient. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Appreciate the cleanliness of the place.

Room was clean, staff friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable, swimming pool clean. I have stayed in the past and will again. Nice place to stay.
