It is a beautiful location. The resort is quiet, clean and the staff are amazing. If you need any assistance regarding bookings or bike rentals, just ask the staff. They will help you. Overall it was a great place and we would stay there again.

This place have the best view ever, very quite and very peaceful. I love it, the only thing was the room can be upgraded, and the bathroom smells bad. I would go back for the view and hopefully the can take care of the bathroom smell.
10.0
The place itself.

Resort is off beaten path. Very quiet. Staff was super helpful and very friendly. View while eating is absolutely breathtaking. Can’t beat it. Pool was perfect temperature. If you want peace and quiet then this is your spot.

Wasn’t too sure about the place when we got there, as it a bit a way from Bars and Restaurants.
But then you find out how beautiful and secluded this hidden Jim. Peaceful and quite surroundings and amazing sea view

If you want spectacular views of the ocean, this place has it. The cost is very modest and the accommodations are decent. I have stayed at many resorts in this area but none have these views. The road to the resort is very bad but otherwise the most bang for the buck for what you get.

The view was fantastic, one of the best views I have ever seen. The room was more like a suite actually with an enclosed patio/balcony area with a marvelous view over the cliffs into the ocean.

The place was peaceful and quite. Nice ambiance, however, the road going to the property is not paved. The room was quite outdated and the bathroom stinks like mothballs and water leaks around the toiled bowl. I can not connect to WiFi when inside the room. The food needs to be improved because it tasted terrible. However, they make the best coffee.

A most lovely, refreshing place to relax, swim, feel the ocean breeze. Enjoy the full cable TV. Eat food that is fantastic, well prepared, while enjoying looking at distant islands, the changing colors of the water, and the local fishermen.
I been to several resorts on area islands and this is one of the best

Nice location. But rooms are lacking the very basic amenities such as tissues, shower soap and drinking water

We are the only guests during our stay. The staffs are friendly. I love their brewed coffee :) Also the have a vegan option on their menu.

People were friendly, Mark, MaryJane to name just a few The house reef in front of the property is very good better than paying to go out to Balicasag island. Someone needs to take a spear an snorkel equipment and go into shallows and kill spinny sea urchines too many of them and they kill the reef.

Cliffside Panglao is probably one of Panglaos best kept secrets. I managed to stumble on this resort a few days before my trip to Bohol. I was only staying in one spot and I found this gem. I had the honor of meeting the owners during my stay there. They were kind and very hospitable and have owned the resort for three years after taking it over from the previous tennants. They have renovated the pool, eating area, and are continuing to renovate the front entrance and are creating a beautiful lobby. The main rooms are the original structure, but the suites are additions. This spot was absolutely perfect. I stayed by myself for a nice quiet getaway and was very content in the pool (with swim up bar), happy hour, affordable and tasty Filipino breakfasts, friendly staff and of course the view. You can rent just about anything from the resort, such as snorkels (with snorkeling right off the cliffs), vacation packages and whatnot, and I highly recommend grabbing a bike. Its not the most affordable (apparently) compared to some other options, but I liked the convenience. They also got another bike for me since I only wanted to ride the 110cc motor. The staff always went above and beyond for me. There are so many wonderful things that I could say about this spot, but the best part is the calm. Best believe you can easily head over to Alona any time you want, but the quiet at Cliffside is unbeatable.

Rough side road from the main road to the Hotel.
Breakfast is good and the lunch is also OK.

We stayed with the family for a full week. The place is a bit aside from Alona beach, but I do not know if one really needs to be at Alona beach at all :) I would prefer not to go to Alona beach if one asks a recommendation. Especially because the hotel restaurant provides very good food and restaurant staff is superb pleasant. We had all our meals only at the hotel and enjoyed it every time. The hotel has access to the sea where boats can come to pick you. The hotel also has scuba diving partners shop at the hotel, so you get all diving services without any need to go anywhere else. The owners are always at your service and they will treat you very very well. They treated us very kindly: got suit upgrade, did all their best when electricity was cut, provided free breakfast as a courtesy, etc. The only thing for improvement is room maintenance (apart from suits, which are in perfect condition). Have a wonderful stay at Cliff Side Resort! You will enjoy it!

Good wifi. Room was big, toilet was clean, but need to be retiled. Place is quiet, away from the noisy crowd. However, there are portions of rough roads, quite far from the national road. It would be best if there is a tricycle, exclusive to the hotel guests, waiting near the national road. Food can be ordered at the place.

The hotel grounds were under repair at our stay there. The pool was very shallow and needed to be cleaned. The AC was not working properly and our TV remote was also not working.

Hotel was in a really nice quiet area, but outside Of Alona beach, so best option is to hire a scooter/motorbike at hotel instead of trikes to save some $$. The hotel was great on the edge of the cliff, the pool was really one of the best!! Our room was spacious but the sink leaked and the room just felt a little empty

The hotel was overbooked and the manager/owner was seated at the front desk when I arrived and she never even looked at me or interacted with me. She allowed the Philippine worker to take care of the mess! I was sent to a very subpar accommodation and was never offered any compensation for the amount of money I lost. HOtels.com was the one that gave some compensation for the loss I suffered from their overbooking. The pool is small and one side is used for divers to practice. There were not enough chairs for the amount of guests around the pool. I would never go back to Cliffside Resort.
