Great stay, the staff were so very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great, lots of variety and even when we left super early in the morning for the airport, they offered coffee and coissants to go.

I loved this hotel and would stay here again!! Checking in was easy and the staff was polite, personable and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and functional. You have to put your key card in a slot in order to turn on the lights! The room was thermally heated. I was on the first floor and even though there is a road past the parking lot, it was very quiet. The bathroom was clean and everything worked perfectly, The free breakfast was great and offered many choices of food and drinks. There is a bar in the lobby with happy hour from 4- 7. There is a great pizza restaurant next door and a vegan restaurant which I did not try. If you book travel through Flybus or BusTravel, they pick you up right at the front door. I highly recommend Reykjavik Lights!!!

Check in is 1500 with a 30 euro early check in fee. Coming from not Iceland, I was on a red eye. I arrived at like 0600. I cannot be the only person coming from abroad with an overnight flight. They had a room all ready to go for us; zero extra work required. I’m not sure why accommodations aren’t made for overnight travelers if the rooms are ready anyway. Otherwise this hotel is great! It felt clean and comfortable. The breakfast is on point, the staff is super friendly and helpful (except on the fee issue), and it’s not too far from city center. Highly recommend staying here. After 1500.

We stayed here our first day in Iceland. We arrived at 5am Iceland time, got our car and drove to Reykjavík to this hotel. We were exhausted and had nowhere else to go and since it was only 7:30am not check-in time yet. I took a chance and went in anyway to see if it would be possible to check-in early. The gentleman at the desk checked and said that would be no problem. He suggested we drop our luggage off and come down for a complimentary breakfast before laying down for a few hours. What a lifesaver! It’s fair to say it set the tone for our whole trip. The Icelandic people are truly kind and generous.

Check in was easy and quick. The bed and comforter were good. Stayed 2 nights after a cruise. There are several restaurants close by. Paid a lil extra so the tour buses came by and picked us up at this hotel. The shower has no enclosure but half piece, so be careful of wet floor and slippery. They don’t offer hand towels either. Otherwise,
A good place to stay. Downtown is a bit far, walking may take over 30 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only downside is lack dining. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was really good. Overall I would recommend.

Was great for me walking distance from sports complex and easy bus stop for down town. But odd I had to ask for a kettle for my room- yet there was a Nespresso machine! Staff helpful

We had requested an early check in. Since we arrived at 7:30. No rooms were available but shown to a couch off the main entrance. We stayed there til 10 am. when told a room was available. Then they charged us for early check in and breakfast. NO ONE told us at 7:30 that we could eat breakfast. Then a supervisor showed up to refund the charge. Not a great way to start our Iceland vacation.

We began by meeting Elena while entering the hotel before check in time. She was very helpful and stored our luggage while we went out for the day. She gave us clear instructions on how to locate the transportation we were looking for and said she would let us know when our room was ready. Shortly afterwards, we received an email saying our room was ready. The lobby, room and all facilities were extremely clean and the stay came with an excellent buffet breakfast. On our last day, our flight was delayed and Elena once again was helpful in changing our transportation to the airport and suggesting a garden within walking distance to fill our time while waiting. She was one of the best we have ever encountered at a hotel front desk We would highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are right size for two persons for one or two nights to see the capital and a stop on our ring road trip around Island. Nice breakfast spread and free and easy parking on site. Hotel easy to locate and just 10 minutes from capital center in what is a really small city.

This is a perfect place to stay. About a 15-25 minute walk to downtown Reykjavik. And the walk is really nice. The views from the hotel are beautiful. The breakfast is very nice with many options. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. And I really like the bar for a beer and for planning your next day.

Had to move to another room because wifi didn’t work for series of rooms on the ends of the floors. Not sure why have to haul luggage up and down stairs from the elevator.

Overall very good, especially the breakfast. except the room is a little bit too small

Nice and clean with great breakfast included. Bathroom is tiny for 3 people and you don't know where to put your toiletries. About 20 mins to walk to town, area feels more industrial but this seems more a general impression about islandic infrastructure and build.
