Location is amazing. Walking distance of all these beautiful places.

Don't book here this hotel is a Catfish. False advertising. The lobby and the rest of that floor looks great. But the rooms that really matter are terrible. Their old, dirty, outdated, shower head was dirty. Their allot of other things but for the price I paid i expect it to be in good condition. The hotel is remodeling but should not be overcharging for the rooms. They also are not gonna refund you or compensate in anyway or take responsibility. O I also forgot the pool was dirty green and not able to use it either this was the main reason why i booked for my kids.

The place is a colonial concept, so there are no modern amenities such as a fridge or coffee maker in the room. For me, the stay was good, although the shower didn't work in the bathtub. The restaurant was not available either, so for breakfast and dinner I always had to look elsewhere.
3.3
The worst experience for me and my wife. No air conditioning first in our first room. Bathroom broken in our second room. No hot water. Then we decided to leave the next day to another hotel and they did not wanted to reimburst the money for the other 3 days that we did not stay. Thanks to Hotels.com that they helped us with the scam.
3.3
Theres was no hot water, the rooms were never cleaned and we only had two towels in our room.
3.3
I really appreciate the price changes in hotels Expedia definitely had a significant change👍
3.3
Rooms and overall property is pretty old.
3.3
Beautiful hotel. The rooms could use a little updating, like the bedroom furniture and bathroom fixtures can be upgraded. The bedding could also use an upgrade considering the sheets were very thin.
3.3
The worse place I’ve ever stayed! The pictures must’ve been taken at least a decade ago. Sheets and blankets were stained, you can feel every single spring on the mattress, the terrible uneven carpet could potentially be considered a hazard if you’re not careful when you walk… that’s if there’s room for you to walk that is. The tub was stained/dirty, there was someone’s fake lashes still stuck to the corner of the curtain and there was so many ants that they went into my makeup bag. People we nice and the lobby looked ok, but that’s it.
3.3
Shower not working
Water leak out door on floor
Poor quality towels clean
Need to take care of property better.
Liked the old world flavor

For a Hotel that is 126 years old is in decent shape family loved it is a historic site walking distance to restaurants and night life.
3.3
This place is a nightmare. It’s literally hotel California experience and you will literally feel that you won’t be able to make it to the check out date. The hotel need some major repairs and makeover. From the elevator to the hallways. Rooms and everything included
No hot water, no WiFi and excuses after excuses it’s all I was able to experience.
Again, it’s literally Hotel California experience with creepy pictures of who supposed to be artists, governors and famous celebrities. Complete nonsense
3.3
It is centric to enjoy restaurants and historic city

This property is the definition of "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT". location-great. Parking is available but the lot was packed and we could not use it. Downstairs was GORGEOUS. we thought we hit the jackpot when we saw how pretty and the restaurants, bar, cigar shop, salon, art gallery etc was. BUT WHEN WR GOT UP STAIRS! the rooms are soooooooooooooo old. Dirty. Run down. CREEEEEEEEPY paintings. And worse part.... flying cockroach hit my daughter in her head and it was chaos. There was no hot water at all. And thennnnnn....there was a hugeeeeee party. That is all fine and dandy if they notify online that this is an adult party hotel. But they dont. They advertise it as a family hotel. The music went on and on loudly penetrating through walls til 1230am. Thank goodness not any later. My son was crying so much. My most horrific stay in puerto rico. THE PEOPLE WERE NICE THO.
3.3
Good overall
3.3
Nice location, historical building hotel, need more attention to detail in the renovations.
3.3
location was great
3.3
I will definitely comeback to that hotel
3.3
There are no words to describe the poor conditions of the bedrooms. Dirty, bad odor, no comfort, no hot water. Total shame.
3.3
Customer service was the only best thing
3.3
Property is located in a centrally area with attraction nearby.
3.3
My room didn't have hot water. Room looks in poor condition
3.3
The rooms are in terrible condition and the facilities are very old and have not been refurbished in about 20 years. The carpet is old and smelly, the The bathroom had turquoise tub, toilet, and sink from the 70s and a linoleum Floor. Totally outdated and certainly not worth the money. We refused to stay there and they put us up at their sister hotel, which was only tad better. I would not recommend it to anyone as we didn’t stay there ourselves.
3.3
From check in we had problems. No front desk staff. No welcoming to the facility once someone showed up.
No WiFi despite signing up for hotel WiFi
No one for Valet parking.
Only one room key
No hot water at all. We had to call front desk and if they answered had someone check the water heater?? Out if 3 nights we had hot water one night.
Bath tub had black mildew.
Toilet paper holder broken.
AC window unit not cool enough we tequested a fan and it was provided.
Blanket had cigarette burn holes
Outlet in bathroom not working, bathroom blower not working and u could not used my own blower bc outlet wasn’t working. I had to dry my hair by a chair with no mirror.
Balcony dirty
Carpet in room and halls were visibly dirty and full of stains. Because it was a holiday weekend there was no housekeeping room service.
We were only provided 2 flimsy bath towels, no hand towels. No wash cloths, no shampoo. Only one roll of toilet paper. Bathroom floor dirty.
The worst part is that no one car and no one had a solution.
The only persons that was helpfully were Esmeralda who could take care of our problems but tried. And Lourdes was also helpful.
The girls that helped us check in on Sunday around 6 pm was totally useless and uninterested. She did not follow thru.
I was in town for my mother’s funeral and this made it totally unbearable and unpleasant. The parking system leaves a lot to say. There was never a parking spot unless we double park. No one mentioned Valet parking.
3.3
First when we arrived they told us it was full and didnt have a room available. After a long wait they gave is a terrible room that was dirty.
3.3
The property is in a great location but can use some updates to the carpet and rooms
3.3
Rooms are lacking basics. The light didn’t work and the lamp light when in and out. One towel, no blankets.
3.3
Three room changes, there was no TV service in any of them. In the second one, the air conditioning wasn't working. In the last and third one, there was no TV, and I got locked in because the door lock was defective. I had to call to have the room opened. I couldn't lock the door, so I couldn't sleep. They called the manager, but they didn't answer their phone because they were off duty. The worst nightmare. Lots of anxiety from not being able to lock the door.
3.3
Elevator out of service
No dinning options /coffee / snacks inside the property
Old A/C system
Poor customer service or assistance
3.3
The property is worn out and all public areas need major refurbishing and updating. The bathroom, furniture, carpets in the rooms need to be replaced. This hotel has been around since the early 1900's and with a complete
overall it could return to its original charm and glamour. Hope to return when its completed.
3.3
The property has very poor and low maintenance. No one clean the rooms no one restock the towels and stuff that you need when shower
3.3
The elevator isn’t working since two year’s ago and as person with disability I had my difficulty.
The a/c start in on and then off with this very noisy sound that was difficult to rest and when was off the noise from outside disturb.
3.3
Parking lot was full. Dirty towels. Too noisy due to a smoke shop store inside the hotel. Because of that, people talking and loud music until 5am. My reservation was a double bed room (2 adults and 1 kid). The employee told me that there were no double rooms so they gave me 2 rooms. One remodeled and the other very deteriorated.
3.3
Good to have its own parking and it is located right at the center. It is good to take pictures at the lobby, pool, and the public area. However, the room they gave us had a broken knot for hot water and no enough toilet paper. Elevator was in maintenance with no workers on sight. Carpet is not clean.
3.3
I didn't like all the ease of the room. It did not have adequate cleaning, no towel at the time of check-in, the lamps did not have bulbs, it did not have a trash can, the air conditioning made an uncomfortable noise, the customer was informed. I do not recommend it
3.3
Unfortunately it was a disaster. The hotel was dirty, no water, no wifi ! A lot of dust in the room . I got asthma from that night. Definitely not staying again there. And I don’t recommend to anyone. I do have pictures.
3.3
URGENT CLEANING AND REPAIRS IN FURNITURE AND POOL AREA. POOR CLEANING SERVICE OR NONE. POOR CONDITIONS IN BATHROOMS AND FLOORS
3.3
Very nice and clean. excellent location
3.3
The elevator was out of service. The room was in very poor conditions. The ice bucket had water with dead ants in it. The cabinet holding the tv had a broken leg. There was a collection of empty beer bottles on the balcony with cigarettes. The second day of our stay, they decided to cut out the electricity to work on the elevator. The heat was unbearable and they did not offer a room change. Other floors had electricity and there was room availability. By the way, on my way down, I noticed that the rooms on the first floor are nicer and cleaner, and the lobby is nice.
3.3
Beautiful old hotel, great character
