Don’t go there if you are a tourist. The staff is not really nice or don’t know what to do. They make us pay a 500 yen drink we didn’t even take. That was probably the previous customer who stayed at the same room. The laundry service is terrible. They remove our clothes from the dryer and said that our clothes was there for too long but when my boyfriend get to the reception to pick our clothes, the clothes was still hot and humid. We think a women stop the machine and call the staff saying that our clothes was ready but that was not true. The clothes was in the dryer for 15 min and they said it take 3 hours to dry. Worst service and the breakfast is cold.

It’s a lovely hotel, have stayed here 3 times and will always return when in Kyoto. The welcome drink and live music every night encourages a buzzy atmosphere in the reception/lounge and the staff are lovely, not to mention extremely hardworking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

very convenient location with subway entrance next to hotel door, and 10 minuets walk to Kyoto Station. Free welcome drink and public bath. Very friendly staff who helped me to mail my large luggage to & from Tokyo hotel.

The worst part of this otherwise good stay was the staff. Stuff, unfriendly, unhelpful.

It’s nice there is a hot springs. Not that it’s super nice but hot springs is great nonetheless. I got this for $76 a night and I was annoyed that when I went to book a third night the day before, it was only $51. And it came with a balcony and the other room did not. So try to stay here for less than $60 a night. Also don’t lose your key card they try to charge ¥2000 yen and don’t tell you that before.

This hotel was excellent, as advertised and great value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the property was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent value and delicious. The ladies bath was very peaceful and very clean. The hotel was an easy walk to Kyoto Station and a popular bus stop and subway stop were 2 minutes walk. I would highly recommend this property.

Like the free drinks and amazing breakfast buffet. The public baths are small and crowded.
The washer dryers need to be replaced - we spent over 3 hours tending to the undried clothes.

Knowing how clean Japan is , the hotel were not very clean; stains in carpets in the hallways, dust on the room walls.
The breakfast options were great.

We loved our stay here! Conveniently located right in front of Kujo station and only a 10 minute walk to Kyoto Station, making transportation super easy! The hotel was super clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff was super friendly and even provide one free drink per guest who show their room key each evening! We loved this! I highly recommend paying for their breakfast tickets. Their breakfast is amazing and made it really easy to eat on property before heading off on our daily adventures. The hotel also provides everything from shampoo to sleepwear, which we loved. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location by subway station and bus 207 to Gion. Easy walk to Kyoto train station. Hotel has nice public bath, free drinking water and complimentary coctail every night. Buffet breakfast is nice, good selection of food for about 1600 yen.
Our room was very small and a bit dated, but had all the amenities.

The room was very nice. I liked the free welcome drink per day. The smoking section was nice. All employees I interacted with were very nice.
My only complaints are the lack of outlets in the room. There's not really any outlets near the bed. And the wifi not being very good. In other hotels I've stayed at in Japan, each room had it's own individual wifi and was faster.
But it was only a 7 minute walk from the shinkansen train station. Two 7-11s within a 3 minute walk. Many shrines within a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was pretty good! But get to breakfast super early because it can sell out.
Overall I had a really good time here, nothing major to complain about. Just small nitpicky things.

Front desk staff and restaurant staff were nice. Good breakfast buffet with lots of selections. However the room mattress was sagging and you can feel the spring. Pillow was hard. We stayed for 4 nights. In the 2nd days, no house cleaning, only replacing soiled towels. During night time, you can hear the noise of traffic

I've stayed with a friend in the room.
The room was specious for 2 of the us. I've had the breakfast at the hotel and honestly I recommend to skip it.
The hotel offers laundry self service which you can use at no cost!
The location is great because it's close to the train station and there are plenty of dinning options in the area by walking 10 minutes.

Very conveniently located hotel with spacious a spacious room. Free coffee was excellent and welcome drinks were complimentary. Could improve on their wifi connection as unable to use during high traffic times especially in the evening

Buffet breakfast was wonderful.
Ease of check in and check out process was quick. We were early too so we were able to have our bags stored for the day.
Complimentary drink every night was a lovely surprise. Highly recommend this place.
We had a corner double room and views were fantastic!

We had an incredible experience the week that we stayed here! Staff was incredibly polite, and eager to help us out when needed. Due to a change in plans we needed to reduce the length of our stay by one night, and the female manager personally spoke with a representative from Hotels.com to help us resolve it. The spa was pretty big and had all of the ammenities one could need. Our room ammentities were refreshed every single day. This location is only 1 stop from Kyoto station or a quick 10 minute walk, also located close to restaurants and convenience stores.

The staff are very helpful. The buffet breakfast is impressive (several kinds of juice, smoothies, salad, bread, meat, dessert, soup, fruit, etc.). Room cleaning is good. Self service laundry is free of charge. Since the guests tend to leave their laundry unattended, it may take time to wait for people to clear the washing and drying machines. Guests can also experience Japanese style public bath. The location is convenient beacause it nears a subway station (Kujo) and it takes about 7 mins walk to Kyoto station.

Great breakfast, nice welcome drink, new property with good cleaning service

Near station & metro, convenient location. (Ladies’) public bath was nice & relaxing, although relatively small in size. Good-sized room, comfy bed, but room lacking in clothes storage ( just 4 clothes hangers, no hooks nor drawers). Nice “ welcome drink” free each evening & coffee/ tea etc downstairs- but ( non- smoking) lounge area smelled of cigarette smoke, so we had to take drinks to our room. We also found it off- putting that there were notices plastered everywhere about guests not being allowed to do this & that. I won’t book this hotel again.

This hotel went above and beyond to make their guest feel welcome. The staff is very friendly. The nightly complimentary drink was a nice way to cap off a day of touring the city. The buffet had an array of delicious options. The room was comfortable and had a nice balcony that was great for relaxing. We could see Tojii Temple (the pagoda) from our room which was so cool. The shower pressure was also great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
