Do yourself a favor and don't come to this hotel. There was construction here with terrible noise from 8 in the morning until 5 in the evening, they did not notify us at all and charged full price for the stay. after talking with the manager , he shows us that it appears in the fine print in the conditions on the website we booked, in a place where no one really sees it and he says there is nothing to do and it is our problem because it written there . after he ask if we want to move to another room but it doesn't matter because the noise is just everywhere and the room is far from the entry. In addition to all this, there is a bad smell in the rooms relatively far from the city and simply a disdainful attitude from the staff and the manager. The only thing that is beautiful here is the beach and that's it, but the noise of the construction comes there as well

Nice resort, but could have been great if they changed the room specifications to Ocan view, partial Ocean view etc. Beds was hard, view from building with rooms with numbers 7.. are not ocean view, hardly partial ocean view. Be specific when you book ocean view that you don’t want to stay in that building. Beach and pool was nice.

Rooms were ready for a good clean and redecoration. I think you should say that there are no lifts and many stairs to
some rooms.
Also the 11pm power outage makes it dangerous on the steps as it is so dark. Why not have some solar lights?

This place is amazing and on a beautiful beach in a quiet area of the island. They offer free paddle boards and kayaks, and can assist in snorkeling tours. The restaurant is expensive comparing to other options but the food is great and there are other options in the near surroundings if you want to spend less. I recommend renting a scooter right up the hill from the resort about ten minutes walking if you want more flexibility on transportation. Overall a great place and very nice and accommodating staff. They have shuttles that can take you to and from the ferry as well which is nice. Highly recommend!

Room condition and cleanliness was probably the worst we have experienced in Thailand. Room is tiny and not like the photos. Restaurant and drink prices are very high. Lots of rubbish in the sea. Wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed in the Beach Club. Out of my whole month stay in Thailand, this stay was the worst by far for the price! Whilst the room had a great view, it was in such poor condition. The room was extremely run down, with peeling paint on the walls (lots in eye sight), cladding behind the bed was not fixed, leaving a gaping hole into the room and there was mould all through the shower and in the grout and it felt dirty. They did not provide hand towels or face washers either. The bed was uncomfortable (you can feel the springs) and the pillows were so old they were all broken up sponge. Only positives were resort breakfast and the drinks. Also they booked us a taxi for our boat at 7am, which turned up at 6.45am, 25 mins late, and we only made our ferry by 7 minutes. The receptionist told us he was up the driveway coming, 5 times (which took 15 mins) which was to fob us off and get us to wait.
I was unfortunately sick for my stay, so had no choice but the stay in the room we were given, but warning, for the price, I would not recommend this resort for a long stay!

The hotel is situated in a truly stunning location, featuring a beach, pool, and palm tree park that are nothing short of spectacular. The unique design of the buildings seamlessly blends into the landscape, adding to its allure.
However, despite its remarkable setting, the hotel is falling short in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. Litter is often scattered around the premises, and there is a noticeable lack of upkeep. While our room wasn't dirty, it didn't meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness. Additionally, the limited provision of towels for the pool, while understandable for environmental reasons, should be consistently addressed throughout the guest experience.
It's disheartening to note that the same issues mentioned in previous reviews still persist. While the hotel has the potential to be a true gem, it's being overshadowed by neglect. Taking prompt action to address these maintenance and cleanliness issues could transform it into a truly exceptional destination once again.
Unfortunately, based on our experience and conversations with others, it's unlikely that we'll return. However, we hope that the management will see this as an opportunity to rise to the challenge and restore the hotel's former glory.

As I made it clear when I was staying there that even though they like to call themselves a 5* resort they are barely 3*. The beach is truly beautiful and the hotel matches its surroundings, but unfortunately it’s in desperate need of a “facelift” and their staff needs training in problem solving and general hospitality. Everyone means well but unfortunately I found that the automatic answer “No” is a go to on anything you ask and a general miscommunication between staff and forgetfulness is rampant. Would not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to any of my friends. Not worth the money

The hotel is located far from the center and labels itself as a high class hotel, in fact the hotel has a poor level of maintenance both in the rooms and in the public areas. Poor breakfast with almost no vegetables and no cheese. I took a luxury suite at a high price and got a room with poor air conditioning, a door that doesn't open easily, there is no elevator and the stairs on it are not fixed at varying heights and I fell off them because of that

You can swim off the beach with a snorkel mask and find one of the best reefs including sea turtles, and if you wake up early before the tour groups or are lucky black tip reef sharks too. Area was clean, and pools were gorgeous. Good breakfast but poor layout creating a few traffic jams. Also the amount of stairs or hills you have to walk is too much for some, also expect taxi to charge 400B one way

Stunning beach, snorkelling, pools!!! A lovely resort. Must rent a motorbike to get around the island but the front desk helped us with this, 300 baht/day. Convenient free transfers to Sairee and back- helpful for checking in and leaving.

Hotel is located on a beach directly with an amazing view and snorkeling area. We saw a turtle there ❤️❤️ hotel provides transfer to and from the fairy, which is super convenient. I suppose it used to be a luxury resort before, now rooms a bit tired and need renovation, but still good. Food delicious and stuff is amazing and will help you always. Thank you ❤️

Beautiful property, and a great placs to snorkel.
There is a restaurant behind the main restaurant that has more affordable prices and the bar that rents the snorkeling has a great happy hour.

Beautiful resort. Just a little isolated. Beach is beautiful, clear water.

Secluded property with amazing setting, nestled amid scores of palm trees on private beach, this is the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. Nightlife and city conveniences are a short taxi ride away. The property also provides transportation to and from a few times each day.
What to expect: comfort, tranquility, open air settings, natural beauty abound
What not to expect: modern day luxury, nightlife, aircondioned spaces (other than your room).
The on property restaurant has good quality food, although mostly geared towards local cuisine (expect the freshest seafood, caught daily). Western cuisine is available in the city.
What’s odd: you only get one key per room.
What’s amazing: snorkeling and scuba diving.

The property was beautiful with great access to its private beach, and a wonderful infinity pool. The majority of the staff were great and extremely pleasant. I was very disappointed to find out that the property is not walking distance to anything which is what it advertises on Expedia.. the resort put a fence up so you cannot walk which is also not updated on google/Apple Maps. Therefore, you have to take a taxi which is 300-500 bhat.. also they don’t supply any free waters for you and you’re not allowed to bring in outside water. The main restaurant was fine and along the beach. Everything at the resort is over priced as you would assume... the worst thing was the reception - it was very disorganized and check in and check out were confusing. It would not be my first place to stay in the future.

First stop of our trip in thailand and was the best one.
The staff of this hotel is amazing and really professional.
The location and the beach is perfect and the free shuttle service to the pier or other more tourist aera is a huge adavantages.
Only one thing could be better is the sound isolation between rooms t and the aircon that is bit too noisy.

Amazing location, the beach is one of the best and all property and most staff are professional and very nice, except the reception, made many mistakes and very slow to take care of simple tasks.

Best accommodation in Koh Toa! The staff was very helpful with everything and the food was perfect. Highly recommended!
2.0 / 5.0
The room was very disappointing, small and the shower extremely small and the sink is in the bedroom. The reception employees were very unfriendly (especially Lidia), even when I complained about the room and service they did not really seem to care. However, the location, views and pools are amazing.

The bedrooms are very nicely decorated with limewashed wood, modern bathroom. The balconies have a day bed and have views over the beach. The restaurant is very good and the beach is beautiful. There are though every day plastics that reach the beach but they have a team of gardeners cleaning most of it

We stayed at the beach club haadtien a week ago. I stayed at penthouse room this time because there were many good reviews in the website.
But mildew is growing on the bed sheets and the sink was dirty even right after check-in. I arrived early in the morning because of the shipping schedule and it was raining badly outside.
I understand the hotel rules but even though I saw many couples getting in the room afternoon, I had to wait until last minutes and the staff at the lobby was really unprofessional. They didn't even tell me why we only needed to wait and everyone else could just just get a room before check-in time.
The room was really nice and the view from the room was amazing, the staff at the restaurant seems nice and the food was good also. That's why we were disappointed at the customer service and the cleaning of the room.

Everything was great at this resort! Beds were comfortable, private beach, and good food (but on the more expensive side) and friendly staff. We got a voucher to the spa but didn’t have time to take advantage of it.

One of the best choices to stay on the island, especially for the price. It offers access to the private beach of Shark Bay, the nicest beach on Koh Tao.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The check-in was rushed as the ferry location then transported to the hotel. The staff were initially friendly then others were not. The facilities are good & the beach is private & beautiful. We asked for an espresso at breakfast time which we were charged an additional 220 Baht which is about $9.00 AUD per coffee. Twice the amount we pay in Australia. We spoke with the restaurant manager and they deducted this off our bill. Quite an insult really. The basic rooms are small, looks good initially yet I’m not a fan of mouldy bathrooms. We had trouble with getting the local shuttle to an area which was past the ferry. They advertise that we can pay an additional 50 Baht which we were happy to pay but weren’t willing to leave at 8:00am as its only available at 8:30am. We needed to be early to attend a diving course. Their focus is on picking up guests at the Ferry & not flexible with check-in guests needs, otherwise its 450 Baht by taxi. Additional taxes are added to the food bill & food is pricey especially when the Caesar salad has warm lettuce & pre-cooked. Nice location. Add another $100-$150 AUD for food each day. Overall it lacked warmth & respect. We chose the The View Point Hotel which exceeded our expectations.

First of all the location is just wonderful, setted directly at Shark Bay with a somewhat private beach. The pick from the pier and welcoming was well organized and convenient. But at check in it all started. I dont know about the legal aspects of this, but at taking a copy of the Credit Card and noting down the security code is a no go and there efficient and secure ways for placing the deposit. This fact was especially dramatic, since the reception is just an open pavilion and your credit card information is just openly flying around there, ready for misuse.
The room in the beach club was of modern design and quite new. However, it lacked especially any space to story luggage and your close. Moreover, there was an unbearable odor from the showers sink. The just forgot to place any siphon there, which is quite astonishing, how any drain could lack this.
The facilities and restaurant are full face rip off, you basically pay for everything and this in 3 times a reasonable price. Things like kayaks should be included or at least be available at reasonable prices. The restaurants offered food of high quality in terms of ingredients but lacked any taste or creativity worth the money, with also having small sized portions. Guess it is smart to get a scooter the first day and head out for the town's food stalls.

Everything that could go wrong with our stay did. First, we came to check in and they made us wait 3 hours which was just absurd. They were so disorganized. Then in the room we had the pleasure of finding a cockroach. Now I understand that visiting tropical places you’re bound to cross paths with a few critters, and we definitely had our fair share of mosquitos and flies and other things in our room. But a cockroach?! I wasn’t able to sleep the following nights because of it. Then our key stopped working in our door, so they literally had to replace the door. Then our AC broke and was leaking water everywhere. They also mischarged us for the minibar. As well, the wifi was absolutely awful and broke down for a day which meant the front office was even more of a mess. So, suffice it to say that I was pretty unimpressed.

The hotel is beautiful and very well integrated with nature. It has everything you need: swimming pool, a beautiful semi-private beach, beautiful sea, you can snorkel on the left side and you can see fish, 2 restaurants, spa (one Italian and one Thai), beautiful views from the room.
Due to the way the hotel is distributed on the hill, you have to go up and down stairs all the time.
To get to the center (pier and Sairee Beach), there are 3 free taxi schedules from the hotel, if not, you have to ask for a taxi for THB 400 one way.
Going to the center walking takes one hour and it really is very exhausting because of the ups and downs.
The dive operators do not come to look for you at the hotel (as it happens in other places) so you have to consider transportation.

Beach Club by Haad Tien is an amazing hotel placed in incredible surroundings. The hotels is located at the Haad Tien Beach also known as ‘Shark Bay’, which is one of the best beaches on Koh Tao with beautiful water and amazing snorkeling opportunities. Beach Club by Haad Tien share the beach with only one neighbor, the Haad Tien Beach resort, which is the more expensive version of Beach Club by Haad Tien owned by the same. Officially they are “working together” and "share facilities", but it doesn't seem like it in reality. You constantly have a feeling of separation and the reception you get when you arrive are based on which hotel you are staying at. My advice to the ones in charge, is to create and deliver better information about the collaboration between the two hotels to the customers when they arrive. The shuttlebuses are also a bit few, and because of the hotel’s location you need a shuttle bus for anything on Koh Tao and a shady scooter rental shop nearby. But this is minor details, because overall this is an amazing hotel which will give you the best experience and memory of Koh Tao.
2.0 / 5.0
Cons: The hotel provides shuttle bus to the pier but departure time from hotel/from the pier is not convinience... If you want to go out, you need to call taxi to pick up and it’s expensive (300/round/2person) ! I was charged for the ride from the pier to the hotel 400 bath/2person. You’d better rent a motorbike if you can drive. You’d better book for a free shuttle bus asap. In case the hotel are fully booked, the shuttle bus can be fully booked too... (We couldn’t go out on the first day we arrived) The private beach is not that clean. There’re a broken glass of beer bottle hidden with coral pieces just by the shore. There’re only 2 restaurants in the hotel, Thai restaurant and Italian restaurant. The food is not that good as its price. (charged vat 7% + service 10%) I feel like I paid for the view than the food. The staff were nice tho. I wish they had a convenience store with a regural price inside the hotel. If you cannot climb stairs, you shouldn’t come here. We’re in 20s so it’s not a problem for us.Pros: Private beach is just right in the hotel. I love the architecture and really love the beach. The room is spacious and clean. The balcony is spacious and very relaxable. The staff are nice and willing to help you. Esp. thanks to the philippines (maybe Dave) I could stay at the hotel all day but not for a two consecutive days. The most impressive thing is the view (sea color, sunset, night sky) The staff are nice and very helpful. I had a pleasant stay.

This hotel is locked away on a beach and the only way to town is by taxi. This resort also has crazy prices for the spa and restaurants, The bathroom is tiny. The only highlight is that we saw shark in the bay.

Service with check in and check out and also with bus trip was good. Service at the restaurant wasn't good at all. Many mistakes, bad attention to the guest and so on
