Weather was good on Friday, Saturday it rain Sunday was beautiful. we stayed in the suite on the fourth floor NO Elevators lots of steps to get to our room. This hotel is not Handicap friendly

Nice place conveniently located. Clean. Only complaint was there was a wedding at the Museum next door and the sound echoed so it was hard to hear the TV or sleep. Nice thing was it stopped sometime between10 and 11 which was nice. Normally not a big deal it is just we were getting up very early to hike. We would stay there again

This is a very nice property for people (like us) who can easily handle a lot of stair climbing. The plantings added a lot & were well-maintained. The main second floor patio would benefit from tall chairs & tables to match, so guests could sit, drink a glass of wine & see the ocean. We wound up relocating to the smaller rear 3rd floor patio, which worked after my girlfriend got a blanket out of our room & put it on top of her chair. We had a problem getting our luggage out of the storage room after lunch - no one was in the office, but a friendly lady promptly responded when we called the emergency number.

Walking to the 4th level without an elevator is just too much. I wasn't expecting that. Also, conditioner was missing in the bathroom or the dispenser is not working. Tissue box was small and maybe used and I was run out the first day. I asked to clean the room and the bed and this didn't happen all I got is new towels and box of tissues. I think the pay is too much for the quality of service I received.

It is our New favorite place in Catalina, I am so sorry I cant remember the front desk manager name, she was absolutely wonderful. Our room was nice, the plants everywhere felt great and the location is perfect!

The room was quite small ,the Internet did not work. The TV did not work. The pipes in the bathroom sink made a very loud clunking noise. Every time the water was turned on. I would not recommend staying here , over priced for what you get .

The only thing difficult was that all the outlets were too loose to hold the plugs we had to plug in. All else was fine.

I think I'm being generous with the 2 star. The only reason for the 2 star is the close proximity to the main drag. Zero ocean view unless you get suite. The patio was really dirty and old furniture. Cigarette and cigar butts all over the place on the patio. The building is not kept up very well. Hardly any amidites what so ever. So called continental breakfast was sad. Had to pay for small water bottle. Just kind of seemed like the staff didn't want to be bothered. The rooms are very dated. The 2 chairs look like they came from the 60's. Very old, cracked and no padding. VERY uncomfortable. Don't know why they can't update the rooms. I was very disappointed. I expected more. I will defiantly pay up for a better place next time. 8.4 rating on Expedia is very misleading.

Check in was quick and staff was friendly. Room was nice, wife enjoyed the balcony. A short walk got you to the main part of town.

Our room had ants and several spiders in the bathroom, as well as a rattling AC unit that kept us up all night. Aside from that, they put us in the room right next to the front office which faced the main road… the road noise was so loud all night. The car lights shone through the window all night long as well, which was difficult to look past considering that the one main wall in the room had 2 huge windows with very thin curtains. We asked to change rooms after our first night and they couldn’t accommodate a room switch even though they informed us that they did have another double queen room on the premises is that was intended for another guest later that evening. Overall super disappointed in this hotel.

Rooms were old, but my biggest issue would be the no elevator and it’s hard for strollers, luggages, and wheel chairs. We had our sign out for maid to clean and they never cleaned our room.

It was our first trip to Catalina island, and this hotel was perfect for where I was. We were able to walk to everything and enjoy the island, the room, so comfortable and clean.

Way overpriced for an older hotel that needs a lot of upkeep and repairs.

Little space in the bathroon. Otherwise Very nice and I'd stay there again.

Rooms were comfortable and tidy, Jena at the front desk was awesome and helpful.
My only complaint would be how dirty the interior walk way and stair rails/stairs.
3.0
The rooms are large. The room was clean, except for the mold in the grout around the tub. The hallways were filthy. The stairwells had layers of dried, spilled beverages. Disgusting.

This was an excellent property for my budget. I got to enjoy exactly what I wanted out of the few days I stayed.

A really cute place with super nice staff!! Karen was so helpful, the room was spacious, enough off the main strip that it's quiet (but still close to everything), and everything was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Wishing I had a microwave in the room & I wish you guys did complimentary set up room for birthdays. Took a boat to the island walked to the hotel then to have my man wait outside in the heat while I find the energy to blow balloons & a birthday sign up all by myself

Cute little hotel perfect if you are looking to stay close to the downtown area.

The room smelled like old storage. The bathroom fan was super loud. The shower valve was super hard and could barely open it with 2 hands.

The accommodations were great beautiful place if I had any complaint, it would be the time that they served coffee. I’m a morning person 8 o’clock is a ridiculous time to have coffee. They need to open and have the continental breakfast and coffee at least by 7 o’clock. everybody was walking around, looking for coffee in the morning, we had to actually go and purchase coffee
