Our experience at this hotel was mixed. The location was good, the staff were friendly, but as a whole it was disappointing. The room was not particularly clean, wallpaper was hanging off areas of the wall. One of our widows could not be closed fully so a draught and more importantly noise came in from outside. The shower room, wc was rather difficult to use as it was so small. One of the bedtop lamps and the lamp above the shower room mirror didn't work. Also cleaning staff were speaking loudly outside our room early in the morning. The bed was comfy though...

Hotel overlooks the English Channel just off a busy main road ,my room was basic but very clean and the bed was very comfortable ,Tea and Coffee maker in the room which was a nice touch ,just the job for an overnight stay and just a 10 minute walk to Hastings Station.
3.7
It was a nice clean hotel the only downside it has no lift.
3.7
A very good hotel for staying on the front - great view from room. Whilst communal areas were tired - the rooms were to a modern standard. Great location with respect to old and new town. Underground Car parking within two minute walk from hotel.
3.7
The place was cold and damp. After a little while the room smelt of urine. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom door did not shut. The carpet was badly stained. The window was filthy. The shower had mould. The breakfast was an extra £10 90.
3.7
Lovely friendly staff very helpful brilliant location to access all available in hastings shame lift was not working as a long climb to our room will definitely use again

Done us for the 1 night required
Nothing more

Had the pleasure of spending the night in a fantastic room overlooking the sea from a balcony. The only downside is the lack of parking, which you have to pay for, and the restriction of staying only two hours for over 6 pounds. The staff is extremely welcoming and skilled.
3.7
Convenient and reasonably priced but more like b&b than a hotel.
3.7
Very nice staff at the hotel that spent time on talking.
3.7
Easy check in/check out. Enjoyed the views of Hastings beach from the balcony.
Great location.
I would stay here again, it's decent value.

Dreadful! TV didn’t work in two rooms I was given, however third time lucky! WiFi didn’t work at all. Hotel very tired and dated, furniture looks like it has been rescued from a skip. The noise of banging bins, a bin truck at 5.40am, drunks, seagulls (overflowing bins) made for a rubbish sleep. There is no lift so carrying bags/case up 6 flights of stairs wasn’t pleasant - changing rooms three times and doing this without a single offer of help wasn’t a good experience. Female receptionist rude and witnessed her being disrespectful to her male colleague. Permanent notice on reception to say ‘back in 10 mins’ - was there for two days! I left after one night - was originally booked for 2. Wouldn’t refund one night! There is a crap coffee machine in reception - you can have a crsp coffee for £3….bargain!

A lovely room with a balcony to enjoy the Hastings seafront. Staff were so helpful. Will definitly be coming back again!

Friendly welcome at reception. Very clean. Lots of maintenance needs to be done eg cracked toilet cistern lid, cracked tiles. light cord in bathroom lengthened. Excellent breakfast.

I stayed two nights as a solo traveller. I had a small room with an ensuite and its own balcony. Was the room fancy? No. Did it have everything I needed? Yes. I only had to go up the one level so the stairs weren’t too bad. I didn’t use the TV because it was hilariously small and awkward. I would stay here again. I recommend getting a room with a balcony as it gives a great view and it seems like they were all on the second floor (or first floor for uk residents.). I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom and I regret that because even with the small room the bathroom was spacious enoughh that it had a full size shower stall.

Ideal for one night and last minute break, location was great. Decor could do with updating.

Was enjoyable stay

Staff virtually unavailable.

Thanks for the stay

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and a lovely room but too many stairs to climb for top floor twin room, lovely sea view worth the climb.
3.7
Its a bit expensive for what its worth. The rooms are tiny. Its a dormlike hotel. The receptionist was super lovely however!

This is a lovely hotel in Hastings. The location is perfect - right on the seafront, but set back which reduces the noise from the road and walking distance to the old Town. It is a classic Georgian building and beautifully refurbished with lovely large comfortable rooms, complete with fridge and large screen tv. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We have stayed in Hastings many times over 15 years and this is our favourite hotel.
3.7
Disappointing stay. The standard double room was small, not properly clean, uncomfortable bed and pillows. Lacking of maintenance in general. The fan in the bathroom way too noisy and the bedside table light not sufficient. The only good thing was the balcony and see views but overall, definitely not worth paying £125. I wouldn't have paid more than £60 per night.

What a lovely hotel. Really nice and clean. Really helpful professional desk staff. Great location right next to the underground 24 hr car park and a spectacular view from the rooms with a balcony looking over the sea would definitely stay again
Thank you landsdowne hotel.

The hotel was nice and clean. The room we stayed in was nicely renovated but the property itself was a little bit outdated.
The surrounding was nice but sometimes loud due to motorcyclist or car drivers pulling up.
3.7
Great location , parking convenient
3.7
Not my first rodeo here, the double rooms are spacious and clean. Well equipped and with a sea view to.
3.7
Lovely clean room and welcoming staff.
3.7
Nice warm room with a sea view but no herds of wilderbeast, central location with many dining options
3.7
Cheap for what you get
3.7
The room was cold no central heating radiator could be seen in the room and the ensuite bathroom is narrow in width.
3.7
Old, run down hotel with suspicious brown spots on the ceiling and walls showing signs of mold. The room was better looking than the hotel in general, but still not very comfortable. The bathroom was not heated, and the lock was very rudimental. The pillows were terribly hard, and ended up sleeping with our heads on the mattress. We had booked for two nights, but considered leaving after the first. There was no other option nearby for the second night, so stayed also the second night.

Fantastic

The hotel is on Hastings sea front. It looks tired and in poor condition externally. The internal lobby area is sterile and unwelcoming. The reservation staff were friendly enough. The internal decor was appalling- paint pealing from the walls, many damp stains and water marks. The aroma in the stairwell was overwhelmingly damp and unpleasant. The carpets were filthy.
The rooms were slightly better but again looking closely at the walls and skirting, multiple scuffs and smudges were apparent.
Overall, this hotel deserves a ranking of one star. It needs a full internal revamp and needs a damp course treatment.
I would not stay again.

Didn’t like anything about it apart from young man at reception, who was extremely helpful in a rediculous place. No breakfast, you don’t do them anymore, no water in machine to drink for our medication in the morning.
The place needs to shut down for a full refurbishment!!!!

Exceptional customer service.
Really helpful staff.
Clean
Bath which was lovely
Tea and coffee facilities
Really good location. Nothing to complain about. Really nice place.
3.7
Good location but poor condition
3.7
Very disappointed, had expected better, was told no available breakfast as not worth opening kitchen, staircases drap and in need of repair and decoration, the lift that could on take ONE person had seen better days. With the right investment cold be one of the best hotels in Hastings. .this hotel and staff not what i was expecting.
3.7
Grubby in places - no effort made to fix curtain which needs replacing, mound, smelly but otherwise clean
