It was a nice old school hotel. AC worked well. Quite and close to every thing. Surprisingly few guests given that we were there in December.

Nice place to stay if you like to exercise, be prepared to claim a lot stairs, nice views and clean pool.personal very friendly, but very hard to get a extra pillow or blankets.100 is the air conditioner very efficient and well maintained.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Yes, the hotel is older and rustic just as the pictures show but it’s got so much character. Lots of critters too, squirrels, anoles, geckos and iguanas. The pool is warm as well. Bathrooms have nice pressure and hot water. Wifi is weak but better by the pool. A/C is the best!
Good to know. Tacos and a bank on the corner, Oxxo up the stairs for morning coffee. Little stores all around and the playa principal is just a calm 10 minutes away. Good eats: tacos on the corner, Junto al Mar in the beach.
Guillermo at the front desk had great recommendations as well.
We were happy with our stay.

Outside the hustle bustle of the beaches but just on the cusp, so we lived the location. This is an old hotel but they ns of charm and friendly nice. Great pool and Taqueria just half block away. Our room was on the pool, so at times it got a little loud late when people came home, but without a doubt stay again. Beds are firm.

The room looked old and battered. The bathroom was dirty with hairs in the shower area the tiles on the wall were dirty. Had to use a towel on the shower floor because I did not want to touch with my feet. it had a tiny TV. Wi-Fi is pretty fast and the pool area looks pretty decent. It does not have a restaurant and if they did, it was close during my stay overall I would not stay there again. What they charge it’s not worth it. You could find other hotels for way less in the area.

The first wasn’t very clean, but they quickly moved us to a better one. Property is a bit old and antiquainted.

The hotel was perfect for us. Very beautiful

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel because it was in a quiet neighborhood. In fact, the only thing that kept me awake at night were the chirping frogs or birds outside my 2nd floor door - earplugs helped lol! The pool is beautiful and was very relaxing. The entire hotel has many artistic details which I found pleasing. Staff was very helpful. Take very good walking shoes as some streets are quite steep. Popular beaches are within walking distance.

The hotel advertised dinning and bar. When we checked in we were hungry, we asked the front desk about dinning, she told us they had no chef or bartender. We got to our room the back door was completely left open. When we showered no hot water. It was hot out so we didn't care. The next morning I asked the front desk about hot water she said they have to manually turn it on for the rooms. I believe this should of been done before we checked in. The bathroom had no shower curtain so it's a huge mess. On one of the days we got back from being out, the room had been cleaned the window (no window screens) was left open, anyone could of reached in and taken my laptop that was right by the window we had locked up before leaving. I asked the gentleman at the front desk if they glasses and ice, he replied that they don't offer any of that. lol. Overall so disappointed. The only good part of the hotel was the fast Wi-Fi since I still had to work and the girl at the front desk, she was very nice.

This eccentric hotel has great character and charm. After a day at the beach, I enjoyed relaxing in a hammock by the hotel pool. It was easy to park my rented car in the hotel parking lot. The hotel provided free drinking water. I enjoyed talking with the other guests. The hotel staff was helpful.

A wonderful, welcoming ,family run old style Mexican hotel. Great location near Playa Principal and restaurants. The beds in the regular rooms are a little too firm for our taste. Just for a change since we were there for a week we moved to a suite. Beautiful and the beds were fine.Great view also. Cecelia at the front desk was great for arranging drivers and the mandatory Covid test of the Biden regime in order to return to the US. Fredericko provided a very good breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Puerto Escondido.

Unfortunately upon arrival we had to check out immediately. We had paid in full for 10 days . It was low season so no facilities . No restaurant. No bar . No water . No fridge . No breakfast . We got less than 1/3 refund . The staff were unable to give us full refund as we booked through Expedia and we cannot get through to Expedia . The place might be fine in season . There was not even cushions or sun loungers . It was so disappointing after such a long haul . It was not clear or mentioned that all we were paying for was a room .

Beautiful facility in a convenient location for shopping, eating, "beaching" and more. Nice views from rooms, good cool AC, clean pool and grounds.

Nice place. Lots of kids in the pool. Clean by Mexican standards. Nice secure parking

It’s 10% away from being a high class joint. It needs updates in details in the structures like tiles, pool chairs, more shaded areas around the pool, towel racks, coffee available in lobby etc etc

Convenient and very comfortable. Good staff.

Totally enjoyed the ambience of this hotel. The architecture was awesome and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Location was good, and plenty of hot water. Nice view from my balcony, rooms were cleaned daily. Only complaint would be the noise as my room was right above the pool, but noise did not go past 6 p.m.. Seemed to be lots of families with children having lots of fun...will defenitely stay here again. Posted a view fro my room.

The staff is friendly and always helpful, going out of their way to help make my stay a good one.
All the rooms have a good view, good beds and clean.
Some details need updating and I think that's in process but the essentials are in good condition.

There were 3 of us. We stayed in 2 rooms for a 3 night visit. There were very few other guests in the hotel during our stay so it was very quiet. The Paraiso is an older hotel but must have been very grand in its day, however it has a very nice feel. The staff were very friendly and kept the rooms and hallways very clean. The air conditioning worked well and the rooms were very quiet at night. The pool and the grounds were immaculate and this was a great spot to relax after the bustle of the beach.
