Nice and quiet location, spacious room. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Restaurant wasn't open during our stay except for a continental breakfast for an extra fee, which we did not require, but to be fair it was offseason. I would definitely stay again, this was my 2nd visit.

Quick 2 day trip for some golf and sight seeing. Incredible location. Very quiet and beautiful seaside cove with rooms directly on the water. Everything closes very early here. Front desk closed by 6. No restaurant other than a small continental breakfast that is not included in the costs of your stay.

A great way to relax for a few days. No cooking allowed in the rooms, so bring your picnic easy to prepare meals. Kettle no microwave. Bring a book, sit on a deck chair by the water and chill. Only breakfast available in the kitchen onsite. Small day trips via car an option. Kyaks off the dock.

It was amazing, our room had an amazing view. We had a great time and will be back again.

It’s a great place away from all the busy places it’s not upgraded for a long time but the location and the view’s are stunning
Restaurant is closed what is a bummer
For us it’s the best place to get away enjoying the quietness and away from technology

Stunning views. Cabin clean. Very quiet. Disappointing that there was no restaurant or lounge also spa closed and looking abandoned.Shame to see this as, at one time, it was a special vibrant place.

The location is beautiful. The servive was great. The buildings are okay, but a bit run down from what they used to be. I know they are trying hard and things have beenvtough since covid. Overall, a good stay.
4.1
Very friendly staff. Older resort that has been renovated. Clean and beautiful property.

Such a beautiful spot!! Amazing views. So relaxing and quiet.

It was not good. Time to tear the place down.

The surroundings are incredibly beautiful and there is no end to the views and nature. It is very relaxing and quiet.
This is a family run business not the swank some might expect and it is showing some wear however it is comfortable and the staff are kind and accommodating. The room was comfortable and the bathroom and bed was clean.
It offers excellent value and is in a great location. I would recommend.

Loved the location. We saw seals, eagles, and more! The property definitely needs some updating. Overall a lovely stay

Beautiful quiet spot

It’s a beautiful location, quiet and secluded. They need to let folks know that it is a bit inaccessible for folks with limited mobility. We did not have a problem but the walk from the parking lot to the rooms could be challenging for some folks.

Nice property with gorgeous views!!

The place was OK, but had a flavour of "better days." We were shocked to find that the water in the rooms was unsafe to drink, clean teeth, etc. This may be OK for fanatical fishermen but the average tourist expects better in this modern age.
At a minimum this should be disclosed as an "amenity" on the booking site

Great veiws, but room could have been cleaner and better maintained.

Very calming an peaceful not high end, could of had a better selection on the menu. Would give the food a 3/5 stars. Maybe needs a little up keep but the friendly staff an the quiet peaceful atmospere does make up for this…would go back!

It was all about the views and the wonderful room. On the first day we saw seals, eagles, whale spouts (no whales as they were too distant) and a sea lion swimming by. On the second and third day we saw all the above again excepting the whale spouts. Saw two sea lions up close. Hotel was quiet but getting busier. We loved it quiet.

Fantastic view. Limited menu. Non-potable water. Needs updating.

Overall the area is obviously stunning and beautiful, so that’s the main reason to stay there. It’s calm, quiet and a great place to unwind. The lodges themselves are a little rustic and basic, but they are fine. The service was super friendly and helpful. Was truly disappointed in the restaurant. The prices were expensive and for $45 I would have expected the seafood pasta to have fresh local seafood (after all…it’s located on the ocean) but the frozen seafood which barely had any meat to it was super disappointing. I was expecting plump prawns, mussels, clams and salmon which was quoted on the menu. The clam meat was nonexistent, the prawns were tiny shrimps and the salmon was lox. Just…yeah not super impressed. I honestly can’t say I’d likely return, but glad we had the experience nonetheless.

The property is beautiful. You are on the ocean inlet and have a chance to see whales, dolphins etc. The cabins are very comfy. Nice bathroom. Bed is good. The pictures show a beautiful dining room, tablecloths and all, but it does not exist. Some of our friends and us were looking for an excellent dinner, but all they had was one waitress, the food was bad, . Soup and burger is not what I call dining. Our friends were all the way from Switzerland and were totally disappointed. Amazingly the room rates are still for full season, but it looks like the place is closing down in a few days.
After coming back from a function, the parking lot all the way to your room is pitch black. No lights anywhere, luckily we had our cellphone with us. If it was not for the scenery we would not go back.. there were 13 of us staying there. Pretty well everyone said the same.

Unique and beautiful wilderness experience

We were not told when booking that the spa and hot tub were closed. The rooms had a cabin feel, which we expected. Definitely an older property. But the view was phenomenal. For the most part the staff were friendly, but when we tried to go to the restaurant we were rudely told they wouldnt take walk ins. It says reservations recommended (not required), on the website, and as we were travelling from Victoria, we didn't reserve as we didn’t know our arrival time. We went into town to the Clove, as it was after 7 and that was all that was open. They were super friendly and the food was phenomenal. It was such a nice experience that we cancelled our dinner reservations at the resort just to go back the next night. Overall experience was ok, the nice, quiet getaway we were looking for.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful place to sit and be right on the ocean. Highly recommend.

Amazing location, great staff, but what was once a glorious lodge has now fallen into disarray. Room was clean and comfortable but a note on tub said to use shower, not tub. Roofs are covered with moss so thick they look like thatched roofs. No blankets in bedroom. Views are incredible. Really wish owners gave a s$&t and would bring this property back to its former glory.

April Point has a good location. Our suite looked nice but a lovely touch was missing. Meals for dining were average and overpriced, the dining room was outdated. Waiters have a lack of gastronomical knowledge. Prosecco is served in a thick wine glass.
But for breakfast, you had to get self-serve a take-out box, which was incomprehensible, because the room costs $ 300/ night.
The spa was closed, no kayak rentals.

Beautiful views

Staff on site were superb. The rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms need updating. They have an old fashioned shower head instead of a hand held unit.
The dining room needs an update. The food and staff were excellent, but the dining room is tired

Beautiful location and views!

First impressions of the resort were pretty good, sweet little cabin, facing the ocean, ideal for whale, watching, and sunsets. No Wi-Fi, TV in the room didn’t work, small leak under the toilet in the bathroom, jetted tub didn’t work. No Wi-Fi and no TV were manageable. Just would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Notified the front desk about the leak however, no one came to address it. Some concern as wooden steps up to the cottage were rotting.
Great service in the restaurant from Rebecca. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and overpriced.
Beautiful views from all around the resort.
