Just over the border from France, a good stop if you are heading north from Clais. Quiet location, parking appears limited at first sight but the hotel will tell you where you can park if you arrive when the restaurant is busy.
Staff all very friendly, welcoming and professional. Bedroom is by some standards "neat" but comfortable and clean. It is obvious that the owners are hands on and want to build and maintain a good reputation. Breakfast buffet is comperhensive and the restaurant is light and pleasant.
Ate in the restaurant and would do so again.
Will certainly return and recommend this 3 star hotel.

A superb hotel in a useful location for visiting western costal areas of Belgium and the Nord Pas de Calais region. Particularly well looked after. We do recommend using the elevator as the stairs may be challenging for some.

Outstanding hotel. Difficult to manage without a car, but a very nice property

Shower was not provided with a floor mat. Therefore, the floor was very slippery and dangerous. The possibility of falls was very concerning. Washcloths would have helped as only liquid soap provided. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Just a one night stopover enroute to Calais. Comfy clean room and friendly helpful staff. Good food and drink in the restaurant.

Very nice hotel run by the owner and her team. Officially 3 stars, but really deserves 4. It’s the type of place which feels incredibly authentic, and gives you the experience of what hospitality really should feel like!Excellent location for a splurge into nature. Strongly recommend to take a room with a dunes side view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Ara Dune. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel seemed to be brand-new, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel

This is a beautiful, cozy hotel right on the border of Belguim and France. Beautifully laid out in a way that uses its space wisely.

The quality of the hotel was excellent, they even have a interiors/gift shop within it. The restaurant was very well presented and the food excellent.
It is out of town and in a very quiet location.

This is a very nice hotel with attentive staff. I would stay here again if in the area. The restaurant food was very good and served in a casual atmosphere. There was very little road/external noise in our room and the rooftop patio is relaxing. Be aware that air conditioned rooms must be booked specifically.

Overnight stop on the way to the Eurotunnel. Fantastic find. The standard of the hotel if it were located in London, Paris, Berlin or et al would be that of an expensive boutique hotel. The decor, comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff are of the highest standard. Even small things such as at least 10 electrical sockets in the bedroom show considerable thought towards the needs of guests. Close to DePanne and its restaurants if you choose not to dine in the hotel itself. Mama Thai is highly recommended for authentic and reasonably priced Thai food.

Very welcoming, reception took time to show us around the hotel and to our room. Room spotless. Breakfast a tad expensive at EUR 12.50 a head

Superb hotel and we have no complaints whatsoever. When an hotel management sets such very high standards for itself, there will be those few guests who cannot align with strict rules of conduct, and it is those, only those, who could possibly have complaints about this haven of sheer comfort.

Nice hotel. Clean, nicely furnished to high standard. Restaurant meal was also very good and better value than many places we ate at. Only comment was our room didn't have a shower only a shower attachment in bath and no curtain. Also front rooms a little noisy at night with road noise. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again. It is also quite a way out of Dr Panne and you need to rely on car.

A very comfortable king size bed in a clean bright room with plenty of storage, tea and coffee facilities, a wall mounted TV with English channels and a large window with a view of the dunes. Open the sliding door to a well presented sitting room with 2 seater settee, an armchair, coffee table, another wall mounted TV and again a large window to the dunes. Another sliding door leads to the bathroom, no window but plenty of lights and a shower cubicle large enough for a 23 stone man. Housekeeping was second to none with cleaning carried out every day. Breakfast choices consist of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, various cold meats, croissants, breads, scrambled eggs with pancetta, fruit juice, tea and fresh coffee with stocks being replenished constantly which was very handy for return visits to top up your plate. Breakfast doesn't start until 8:00am which could cause problems for early starters. We had planned to eat out during our stay but after eating in the restaurant on our 2nd night we enjoyed it so much that we ate there on the 3rd night too. The hotel has a nice bar with plenty of seating outside and also has a roof terrace with sun loungers and there's a great view of the dunes and surrounding countryside from up there.

Very welcoming hotel which was spotless both in the public areas and the room. Great Bed which was extremely large and luxurious with coffee making facilities. Although on a main road there was no noise. Food was good and reasonable priced for the area.

From start to finish, a great experience. Matthias was welcoming and friendly even though we were a bit later than expected. We had free parking in front of the hotel, which is great. The room was clean, large and beautifully decorated, all the little touches made it extra special. What a lovely hotel! It deserves more than 3 stars for sure, its much much better than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in the UK! We had breakfast and it was good value for money, tasty with a good selection of pastries and bread, as well as omelettes with panchetta and great coffee. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back
