The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us to book two dinners, three private ski lessons as well as pick up and drop off for ski runs for the nearby Happo-One ski area. They also helped to arrange for pick up from and to the Hakuba-Happo bus station.

We stayed at the cottage. My family was able to enjoy hotel amenities with privacy. The shuttle was a big plus. The staff was very accommodating. We will stay there again. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights and took the half board option which included breakfast and dinner at their restaurant. We were so impressed with the fabulous French- inspired multi course dinners; beautifully presented and super delicious! What an incredible value. Would highly recommend! The staff and service at this hotel are also top notch!

Stayed four nights to ski the various areas of Hakuba Valley. First, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! For example, when I arrived and as I was parking my car, a staff member came out to greet me. And each morning I skied Happo One, a staff member drove me to the ski area and then picked me up when I called in the early afternoon. This allowed me to boot up in the hotel lobby, saving me much time. Staff also offered to help with ski rentals and lift passes. The daily breakfast (set menu) was also nice. And one evening I ate dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. I was hoping for Japanese food, but the set menu was comprised of delicious French food. I should have asked more questions about the dinner menu before I made my dinner booking, but again the dinner and service were very nice. The hotel itself is showing its age—worn carpets in the hallways, tired-looking furniture, scuffs on the walls. But the room was spacious and the bed and pillows comfortable. The hotel is secluded, and I couldn’t find any places to eat within walking distance, so guests will have to eat dinner in the hotel’s restaurant or drive somewhere. Overall, I had a nice, relaxing stay.

The staff at La Neige is absolutely fantastic! Miki took great care of us. We came very early in the season for the first few days the slopes were open. Although, we would have liked more snow, our stay was made perfect by the team at La Neige. They made the process of renting equipment, getting to the slopes, and even going on some sight seeing absolutely painless. Every night when we came in, they had chairs set up for us in the lobby with our shoes, a fire burning in the fireplace, and fresh popcorn and snacks for our hungry children. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for our family of five and the dining options were also great. We ate at the casual restaurant most nights, but enjoyed French one evening and we were equally pleased at both restaurants. The Gyodon and Shabu Shabu were family favorites. The breakfast with a cooked option and buffet satisfied everyone as well. We would definitely go back for another stay.

Not enough space to write how happy we are with every single thing the staff did for us here. Talk about the golden standard. From the welcoming to the great mornings with breakfast, assisting us with making plans around the area to even keeping the beers stocked in the fridge. The bar has been set so high that I doubt we will ever find I place like this again. I believe I can speak for the both of us when I say this, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this trip to Japan the best we have ever taken. We actually miss the staff as we really felt part of the family.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July. The service at the hotel was amazing- everyone was so accommodating! We included breakfast and dinner with the stay and definitely recommend this! While in the summertime the breakfast was not a buffet, the food was still delicious. Our dinner every night was in the French restaurant and 7 courses, the chef is AMAZING and the food was the best we had the whole trip! The staff remembered how we liked our meat cooked, if we liked coffee or tea, and the foods I couldn’t eat. Such amazing service! Can’t wait to plan another trip here

The uniqueness of this place is the service level of the staffs and the ultra convenience for skiers. The ski valet was so wonderful. Ur ski boots will be nicely placed near the door for u and when u return , they do the same for ur shoes so u can conveniently change out. Moreover the warm welcome by Ms Okamoto everytime after we got back from our ski sessions was so heartwarming. We felt we were returning to a home instead of a hotel. And U dun hv to worry about lugging ur skis after renting from the shop and they do the returns for u when u leave. The courtesy transfer service they provide to some nearby popular spots is also a bliss. To add on , their half board is highly recommended . The nightly dinners were such a gourmet delight that me and my husband looked forward to every night. They spared no expense to change the ingredients to cater to my dietary requirements and not just replace with some make do dish just to do the job. The servers were so attentive that we truly enjoyed all our meals at the restaurant. We will return!

This was a standout hotel on our trip to Japan. The staff are incredible and so warm and welcoming. Ski valet service is such a luxury and the rental shop is very near by. Enjoyed the complimentary hotel car pickup from the Alpico bus. The food at breakfast and dinner is excellent. Huge portions and variety of selection at breakfast. We highly recommend trying the in-hotel restaurants for dinner. Lovely room and cozy pajamas and robes. In-room massage service was excellent. Beautiful hotel, well decorated for Christmas. Beautiful architecture. This is a must-stay hotel in Hakuba.

This hotel was the perfect getaway with very wonderful accommodating staff. Breakfast and dinner is definitely worth the price. I bet the view and area is even better during winter.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location! Wonderful staff that are very attentive to your needs. Would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is located in a small ski resort town. We arrived in the afternoon and were immediately encouraged to relax in the lounge with other guests enjoying complimentary hot tea & snacks, including marshmallows that could be roasted over a small fire in the fireplace.
Dinner was served in the smaller of the hotel’s two dining rooms. Apparently both rooms are usually open, the larger & more luxurious being a higher-end eatery. But we had our choice of several menus, including the menu for the closed dining room. The food was ok. In hindsight I’d recommend modest choices that equal the restaurant’s limited capabilities. We opted for pricey dishes that weren’t well executed & rued the resulting bill.
Breakfast is a hybrid buffet, with a choice of several main courses ordered off a menu, accompanied by the buffet items. It was fine, on par with typical hotel fare. Breakfast was served in the larger dining room with linen napkins - a rarity for Japanese restaurants - with a lovely, expansive view of the surrounding grounds.
Our room, itself, was moderately sized, with a king bed & a bathroom that featured a step up to it. The bathroom had a tub and a hand-held
“shower” attachment. Hubby was able to use the wand as a shower in its mount, but I was worried I’d inadvertently spray the entire room, even with the provided shower curtain.
Finally, the hotel staff is very friendly & gracious. Overall, we’d recommend the hotel, but suggest dining elsewhere for dinner.

The hotel is old but kept in a good condition. It is serviced by an attentive and friendly staff which makes the experience exceptional.

My wife and I had an amazing stay. Service was best I've seen at 5-star hotels. Proximity to mountains was amazing.

A fairytale setting with lights twinkling in the snow dusted trees. The cabins are perfect for a family with a short walk through the snow to the main building. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. A special mention for all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was the best we have ever experienced. Thankful for a wonderful stay
