This was for a business trip (The Buzz Buggy) the stay was comfortable and staff was very friendly. Best part is it is pet friendly. Lastly, our trailer was safe outside.

Very happy with our stay. The girl at the front desk was very helpful, especially since we didn’t start with a reservation. Our room was clean, very quiet, spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast. Absolutely stay here again our next trip thru Carlsbad.

Service was nice and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was clean. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower doors hard to open. Closet door came off. Other doors got stuck halfway when opened.

Room was spacious and comfy, seemed to be cleaned, but could overall use some TLC. Lots of knicks and scuffs to the wall, and hallway carpet was stained/funky. The breakfast staff were very attentive. Quick check-in/check-out. Good location for visiting the nearby national parks.

The folks here were incredibly friendly. The hotel was very clean. The pool is nice and can accommodate a good size group, however the hot tub was out of service and the door missing a handle. So if you are wanting to help your legs feel better after touring the caverns, make sure the hot tub is working before making your reservation! Breakfast was standard fare but fresh and readily available.
*If you have anyone on the spectrum- the third floor has an annoying whine. However, you can only hear it in the hallway. The rooms were quiet and self contained.

The first room the shower dripped all night, the second room the sink didn’t drain, the third room wouldn’t unlock, the fourth room was dirty, the shower walls were cracked and there was no toilet paper.
4 rooms and everyone had a problem.
This can only be a management failure to follow up on employees.

I called and spoke to a desk clerk days before trip requesting a handicap room. Not avaliable upon arrival.
Handicap side entry door was broke.
Pool Door Broke
Hot Tub out of service.
Room Door was squeeky when opening ans shutting.

The staff were friendly, and the facility was easy to navigate. However, the room was not as impressive. The couch cushions had questionable white stains on it, there was black sludge in the bottom of the sink on the wet bar, the faucet in the tub was leaking, and the bedding was very thin and uncomfortable. We were only staying one night, arriving around 11 pm and checking out around 9 am, so it was fine for what we needed, but I would not stay here again.

Property is very well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable here with our young granddaughters. Very easy to find and a short distance to Carlsbad Caverns!

We had no major issues, however we booked 2 rooms and requested adjacent rooms or at least rooms on the same floor. Instead webwere told they didn't have anything available because they were still cleaning rooms, this was almost an hour after their published check in time. The rooms they gave us were on two different floors and opposite ends of the hotel. The rooms were clean but the bathroom door in one was broken, dragged on the floor and was difficult to open and close. The bathtub faucet in the same room leaked a steady stream of water

Bathroom door hard to open and close. We got it halfway open and squeezed in between it and the vanity. One teeny, tiny piece of soap was provided. No shampoo/conditioner. No blankets. Only 2 sheets. It was sooooo cold in the room. Tried to turn down the air, but the unit didn’t have controls. Found out later at the check-in desk that the thermostat was on the wall… at the other side of the room! We had asked for blankets. The only one they had one queen in the entire hotel. We had a king bed. We took it anyway. The buffet was the usual crap as any other hotel. Actually, Best Western has a better breakfast. We enjoyed our time in the pool area (we didn’t swim) until a man came along and started to smoke. Yuck! I guess, however, you can smoke in the pool area in New Mexico. The hotel even had a cigarette trash can by the pool. All in all, we would have been better off in a Motel 6.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the shower required Herculean strength to operate and at breakfast my disabled brother ate half of a molded muffin. Management refused to do anything to compensate us.

The front desk clerk was friendly but slow. He obviously needed help. Manager not available when asked for. I was not advised yo have to ask for your room to be cleaned, otherwise they don't do it. I trackekd down the housekeeper and she emptied the trash cans for me. The shower was almost impossible to turn on as it was so stiff. Water continued to run all night in the shower and toilet. The TV didn't work because someone stole the cable extension. I was advised how to turn it on manually and adjust the volume manually by the clerk. I asked to change rooms and was told the hotel was sold out, but I'm not entirely sure if that was correct. The counter tops in the bedroom were sticky, so I wiped them down myself and made the bed myself. I was told by the head housekeeper they had trouble hiring people. She was still trying to clean rooms at 6pm. I blame this on bad managment. It looks like a high turnover as they're unable to keep staff or train them. That being said, the staff were still friendly, even when overwhelmed by lack of help. I will not be returning,

The day of our reservation the hotel informed me that our room was no longer available. They said I could cancel for a refund, or get a smaller single room with fewer beds to accommodate our group for the same price we paid for the larger 2 bedroom suite. They would not give us a 2nd smaller room at no charge to us. It doesn't seem right to me that I paid a higher price for a 2 bedroom suite, but then given a smaller room. I would have canceled, but I was unable to find a room at the nearby hotels. The soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty in our room. The roll away bed they brought us so that less of us had to sleep on the floor in the small room was in sad shape, sagging terribly. We could hear people having a great time outside in the parking lot and/or in the pool until quite late. I was surprised how easy it was to hear people playing in the pool, even though we were on the 3rd floor, on the opposite side of the hotel.
Despite my frustration with the staff that didn't help us get a room(s) comparable to what we paid for, the staff at the front desk were kind at check-in and quickly brought us more towels and the kids had a good time in the pool. The breakfast was like nearly every free hotel breakfast. I would stay elsewhere if I returned to Carlsbad.

The staff was rude. The water would not good hot in our room. The breakfast was good. That’s about if
3.0 / 5.0
We were told by the front desk that they only provide maid service upon request but I didn’t realize that meant EVER. There was a layer of dust on the bathroom vanity around towels and dirty bathroom and shower floor. No extra toilet paper or towels

Checking in was rough. I reserved two rooms under my name, and the clerk had difficulty finding my second room. She finally did and didn’t apologize or anything. Then, the worst was when they were really rude to my family member at breakfast. She has a service animal and was getting herself breakfast. The service dog clearly has a vet and acts on command. The female employee at breakfast yelled at her that pets could not be in the area. It’s not like the dog was where the food was being prepared. My family member told her, “So am I not allowed to eat?” The employee told her to take it up to the manager. Considering that La Quinta is such a large company, you’d think they’d properly train their employees to be more considerate and professional about individuals with disabilities.

The breakfast option was great and beds were comfortable. Rooms were big in size.

Room was dirty, tub was dripping water all the time couldn’t get it to shut off completely. Bed was uncomfortable and the television had a parental control on it for less than pg-13 and no one even tried to help they said they would find out the code and call me back but never did. Miserable night had people above me that sounded as if they had kids playing football in the room most of the night. Probably want go back.
